Dragon's Heart 23 Chapter 23: Takeo Was Caught?! The Head Vampire's Plan

Sarah and Takeo walked for a bit before Takeo turned to her and asked her, "where are we going?". Sarah didn't say anything, her mind too focused to. Sarah sensed more werewolves heading towards them. "More are coming, Také", Sarah said to him. Také is a nickname Sarah called Takeo ever since they were kids. Takeo nodded in response. Sarah looked at him and added, "oh, and try to keep the flames to a minimum, we don't wanna nuke the city and start any fires". Takeo nodded and said, "okay". Takeo and Sarah easily dispatched the werewolf pack, showing that Sarah can more than take care of herself. "I guess being a vampire gives her super strength and speed", Takeo thought to himself.

They continued onward until Sarah sensed someone coming. That was a vampire she knew. She told Takeo to fly away and keep his distance so the other vampire didn't suspect them. Takeo flew high into air and far back. When the vampire came up to Sarah, Takeo, with his heightened sight recognized her. It was Amanda, a friend from their school who was a year behind them. "So, she's a vampire too?", Takeo said to himself, "Ugh, I can't sense the difference between them and humans so this is gonna be hard to tell later down the line". Amanda walked up to Sarah and asked, "I sensed someone else with you for a moment, who was it?". "Oh, a friend", Sarah said. "It smelled like a human", Amanda said. "It...was", Sarah said believably reluctantly. "Why did you let it go, why didn't you feed on it?", Amanda snapped. "He's my friend and he didn't know anything about what I'm doing, so I felt no need to kill plus I already fed a bit earlier", Sarah replied. Amanda shook her head and sighed. "Whatever, look, Jackson is calling of us for a meeting", she said. Sarah questioned, "what, another meeting, so soon?". Amanda said, "This is very different and important, it's mandatory and you know how he can get about these things". Sarah groaned and said, "Fine". She looked up at where Takeo was at, signalling for him to follow at a distance.

After a few minutes of traveling, they came to a public pool. Takeo, keeping his distance, noticed there were multiple people already there. "They must also be vampires", he thought. Sarah and Amanda walked into the group surrounding a guy. "This must be Jackson", Takeo said. Jackson was a smooth-haired, charm-flowing kind of guy. Basically a girl's perfect image of a male vampire. He, however, emitted this feeling of strength and superiority. "It seems like that's everyone", Jackson said, "now we can begin". Sarah walked into the crowd and said, "What's this about Jackson, I was busy with something important". "Well my rebellious pretty rose, I've came up with a plan for us to be on top", he said, putting his hand on Sarah's chin. Sarah jerked her head back. This action infuriated Takeo. "As you know, these two weeks is the Blood Moon, and we have to deal with these annoying mutts running amok", Jackson continued, "but there's something else that's gonna happen during this time". After a pause, Jackson said, "The King of Vampires, Count Dracula, will revive". Sarah interrupted, "Yeah, we all know that. I mean, it's the reason we're so powerful and we all can sense him coming back, so?". "So, my plan is...to revive him and take his power, so we can be on top of, not just those mutts, but the human world", He said. "What!?!", Sarah shouted, "Are you an idiot, you can't revive him". Jackson put his hand on her shoulder and said, "you would think I'm an idiot, just like how you think I'm an idiot not noticing the friend you brought here to eavesdrop". As he said that, he looked up at Takeo. "s.h.i.t", Sarah and Takeo both said.
