At 10 in the evening, Kangjin is already preparing to open his business.
He was so confident about his cooking that he thought about opening his business earlier. Anyway, the more you sell the more money you get.
However, he has things to do. First he has to pack his things from the study room, then he has to go to his part-time job and say his goodbyes to the neighborhood work operator-nims.
He was so busy the whole day that he only came home at around eight in the evening.
So he took a nap first and woke up at 10 o'clock to get ready for his business.
“Okay! Let's get started now.”
Kangjin washed the rice and put it in the rice cooker, then he started preparing the other ingredients.
He minced the cloves of garlic in advance, he also cut the meat in portions enough for a single person.
Since this is his first time opening a business, he decided to just sell garlic fried rice and garlic pork stir-fry today.
By the time he finished preparing the ingredients and cleaning it's almost 11 o'clock.
Kangjin placed a chair by the entrance and watched the door.
“Hooo!”
And…
<10:59:59>
<11:00:00>
The door opened at the 11 PM sharp.
Clack!
At the sound of the door, Kangjin shot to his feet.
A pretty girl wearing a hanbok[1] came inside.
‘Hanbok?'
He wasn't aware that girls wear hanbok in Gangnam. And what's more is that she is his first customer upon opening.
The pretty girl in a sky blue hanbok bowed her head slightly. Kangjin also bowed his head in greeting.
“h.e.l.lo.”
The girl looked at him briefly while he was doing his greetings. Kangjin almost drooled at the sight.
‘She's dressed weirdly but she's as pretty as an idol. As expected, Gangnam is really Gangnam.'
While he was slightly surprised by the idol-like pretty face that looks like it came out of the TV, the girl sat near the kitchen silently.
“Bring me a soju[2].”
“What?”
The girl looked at Kangjin when he asked again.
“Did you not hear me? Bring me a soju.”
He approached her while looking at her strangely.
“Customer-nim.”
Swoosh!
Kangjin smiled confidently and told her.
“Can you please show me your resident registration card[3]?”
She looks like she's in junior high, at most she's a 1st year highschool student… So he has to check her ID to confirm if she's of age.
“Resident registration card?”
“You look young so I have to check your resident registration card for a moment.”
After Kangjin told her that, the girl stared at him for a while then opened her mouth.
“None.”
Kangjin smiled again at the girl's confident reply and told her.
“If you don't have your resident registration card, then can you please show me something that can prove your age, like your driver's license or any other IDs?”
“I don't have any of those so just go and get me some soju.”
“Customer-nim, are you telling me that you don't have those because you haven't been issued any of those yet?”
“I don't have it.”
He looked bewildered at the girls words.
‘How can a teenager be this confident?'
He has seen plenty of teenagers trying to get a drink in a bar but… this is the first time he has seen a teenager confidently demand alcohol like this.
‘Is she trying to ruin her life like this.'
This is his first day of business but he will be forced to close if he sold alcohol to a teenager.
“Customer-nim, if you can't show me an ID then I can't give you any alcohol.”
“Oho! Who do you think I am. Just go and bring me some soju.”
Kangjin sighed at the girls words and once again opened his mouth.
“Customer-nim, dressing up like that just because you want to drink soju… even if you come here and ask for soju, who would give it to you.”
The girl looked at him strangely when she heard Kangjin's mutterings.
“Give me? Are you speaking to me informally right now? You impudent b.a.s.t.a.r.d—”
“b.a.s.t.a.r.d? Impudent? Then what about you? Where can you see an impudent highschool brat[4] come in and confidently ask someone to bring them soju?”
The girls face stiffened at Kangjin's words.
“High… Highschool brat?”

VoidChaos: I wonder when Kangjin will notice that something is wrong with his customers? Have you seen the recipe on the previous chapters ㅋㅋㅋ I did them and they were delicious. I wonder how the ghost-nims think about it?
