Lai Yin complained, "Don't tell me we're going to cram ourselves in one bed!!"

Cheng Qiu stomped on his foot.

"Ah-" Lai Yin cried, "f.u.c.king s.h.i.t, why did you hit me?"

Cheng Qiu tsk-ed, "Cause you're dumb as eff. This room has only one bed, of course, we're not sleeping there."

Lai Yin frowned, "So you want me to sleep on the floor?"

Cheng Qiu yelled, "What else??"

Mu Feng slapped her forehead, "Alright. Since it's like this, no one's sleeping on the bed."

Fan Zhan, as someone who cared for her sister's feelings, couldn't accept it, "Your Highness…"

Cheng Qiu began to cook the goods they bought. He prepared the stew while the rest conversed with one another.

Fan Zhan's tone was inquisitive, "Your Highness Mu Gongzhu, are you taking this fellow to the palace." She pointed at Hao Xi. Mu Feng gazed on the latter, "If he wants, I'll take him. If he doesn't, I won't."

Hao Xi innocently blinked his eyes three times, moved closer to her and gleefully said,

"Master, I will follow you everywhere."

Cheng Qiu almost cut his finger holding the carrot in place. Lai Yin chuckled, "Your Highness Mu Gongzhu, if this fellow ain't a damoiseau, I don't know what is."

Soon as he said those words, Cheng Qiu abruptly threw his knife at him. Lai Yin blocked the flying blade by scabbard, caught it and threw it back.

Lai Yin didn't even flinch and laughed instead. He's used to Cheng Qiu throwing knives at him whenever he holds one. When they were still at Mt. ZhuXintai, he often annoyed the latter and made him a violent fellow that Cheng Qiu made him his particular target to practice his skill of throwing random objects. At some point, he even shot needle-thin one-foot stick at him and it nearly cost him one eye. Nevertheless, he had developed an instinct to dodge anything from the hands of the other party, so he wasn't threatened in the slightest. Her Highness wasn't startled too. She has been Cheng Qiu's friend for years and everything about his display of temperament became normal to her.

Lai Yin sneered, "You little s.h.i.t, why so hostile??"

Cheng Qiu bellowed, "Stop cursing!!!!!"

A fleeting silence pa.s.sed when Fan Zhan glared at Hao Xi and snorted, "Your Highness, this fellow, does he even talk?"

Sure enough, Hao Xi's lips were shut tight ever since they all got together and only spoke six words. He talked too much when they were alone in the forest and seemed to be comfortable during his brief moment with his master.

Mu Feng thought maybe he's uncomfortable. She gazed at him and gently asked, "Hao Xi, are you alright?"

Hao Xi beamed at her, "Master, I am more than fine. Please don't mind me."

Only then, she sighed in relief. Cheng Qiu finally finished cooking the stew, and they ate. The group prepared to rest a good night's sleep and were about to lie down when suddenly, Hao Xi began taking off his outer robe.

Fan Zhan was frightened, "Fellow… Wha..what the h.e.l.l are you doing?"

Cheng Qiu covered Mu Feng's eyes, "Your Highness, this strange friend of yours surely makes the most unpredictable move ever."

Meanwhile, Lai Yin was especially horrified as he had never seen another man's body before.

Hao Xi tossed his outer robe into the air and called, "Master!"

Cheng Qiu wouldn't let go of his hands covering Mu Feng's eyes, "Your Highness, I can't let you see such impurities…"

But Mu Feng felt left out.

She took out Cheng Qiu's hands from her eyes and involuntarily looked at the one in front of her from head to toe. After Hao Xi took off his outer robe, he's now only dressed in a thin layer of clothing. His slender and masculine figure became visible, too much for a straight woman and even a not-so-straight man to handle.

Hao Xi spoke, "Master, you can sleep on this sheet. The floor gets extremely cold at night." Then she looked at where he's pointing at. It was his outer robe floating into the air. Everyone was stunned. Lai Yin couldn't help but grin on the back.

Mu Feng tried her best to hold back her smile, "What about you?"

Hao Xi paced towards her, "Master, don't mind me. I'd sleep in my beast form in which I have thick fur covering my body." Then he carried her to the sheet where it was undeniably comfortable to sleep in. Fan Zhan felt jealous, "Hmph. I'm only useless as of now because I'm a phoenix, but wait till Mu Gongzhu fell, I'd fly her high into the clouds."

Cheng Qiu threw her a soft pillow and scolded, "Hey little bird, why would you want Her Highness to fall just so you could take her to the clouds? Aren't you being selfish? Show off without hurting Her Highness!"

Lai Yin laughed, "Look look, Your Highness, it must be fun to have lots of people fighting over you.. ." Cheng Qiu hurled him another pillow, "SHUT YOUR EFFING MOUTH!"
