“Wild geese are faithful birds. I hope that I’ll have the kind of relationship that the wild geese have,” Zhou Xi said.

Qiao Mei and Xia He did not say anything. At this juncture, it was hard not to wonder if Zhou Xi had another motive for saying this. Zhou Xi also realized it but she remained unaffected since she was simply telling the truth.

“If you like it, I’ll give it to you. I’ll get someone to take it down later and you can bring it back with you,” Qiao Mei said with a smile. She felt a sense of admiration for Zhou Xi by now.

Zhou Xi walked to the side and sat down. She did not bring out a jewelry box, but produced a doc.u.ment bag that looked to be related to the bank.

“What do you mean by giving me this?” Qiao Mei asked as she examined the bag.

“Sister Qiao Mei, as you know, I work at the bank. I can’t think of anything to give you, so this contract is my gift to you.
