If they did not do it this way, Feng Hua would have to come to Qiao Mei with a list every day to get the money for expenses. “Are Xia Fan and Xia Xing ready? It’s still cold out there and the two children must not catch a chill. They must be wrapped up tightly. I’ve prepared these blankets and clothes for the children. Put them on for the children later,” Xu Lan instructed.

“Sure, I’ll go and get a nurse to put the clothes on for the children now,” Feng Hua said.

Qiao Qiang and Xia Jun were still playing chess in the ward next door. The two old men did not bring much with them. They only had three sets of clothes each and it would all fit into one bag.
