Gray felt a little off put with June not there in the morning. But Sabrina aura nearby was very refreshing. The odd thing was that Empress was learning at a faster pace on how to be human it seemed. Her speech went from a low calm tone. To more excited and full of joy.

After doing there morning training everything fell into a somewhat peaceful pace. Until Gray mentioned about a berry farm to Sabrina. The good news they both agreed to take it easy before he did.

"Sabrina calm down already." Gray said for what felt like the 27 time. "We will get there when we do."

"No way! There is a berry festival!" Sabrina said as she dragged him along. "I want to get some good berries. That way you can make some good food with it."

"You could make them yourself if you stopped eating them long enough." Gray said wrly. He enjoyed the fact she loved the berries but still... Gray made more never to buy a berry farm in the future. "Ahh nevermind."

"We are here!" Sabrina yelled as she stopped them both. "Ehhh, its closed."

In front of them was a sign that read closed.

"Due to a flock of Taillow, the berry farm is closed. Sorry for the inconvience." Sabrina read the sign as she started to get depressed. She looked over and saw Gray was on his Pokegear. "What are you doing?" She asked with teary eyes.

"Getting a job?"

"Yeah... I guess you can go work instead." Sabrina was slightly dissapointed.

"Your coming with." Gray grabbed her by the waist and lifted her up. "Up we go." With a hop and the use of his psychic abilities he floated over the gate and into the farm.

"Gray you cant just break into a place like that!" Sabrina said. She was slightly embarrased.

"He is not young lady." On old man, that look to be in his 90s came out to greet them. "I am Mr.Berrywood. I hired him to help with our situation here. I am quite glad he was right outside. Saves me the trouble from going into town."

Gray stood Sabrina up and addressed the old man. "So mind going into detail what is going on?"

In the recent weeks, a large group of Swellows had started to cause problems. a few groups were not that bad with Trainer coming and battling them to keep population low. As well as getting stronger themselves. But it changed when a Zapdos had been sighted in the area weaken from a battle.

The Swellow's feel under its command easily. Now there farm has been picked clean of most of the healing berries. With that having happened, they had to increase the price or close the farm down temporary to the public. Large orders were still done. But the small ones couldnt be done, do to risk of the Pokemon attacking and supply and demand.

In three months things would get rough and d.a.m.n near impossible to recover without a big order to compensate for the future. Let alone the loss to local and small businesses distribution centers.

"Gray we have to help!" Sabrina said from the side. She had stars in her eyes at the chance to save the berries. It wouldnt be bad if Empress didnt have the same look. "With us on the job we can get it done no problem."

"Hahaha she is right." Gray laughed agreeing. "We will defintely take care of it just wait and see."

"Thank you. May I see your badges to make sure you can take this on. I am sorry but this is a big risk for me."

"Here you go." Gray showed his badge case. It contained his regular and elite badges. Sabrina next to him did the same. She had one less Elite badge. But One more regular badge. "Where did that one come from?"

"Well the fighting gym is opened back up. Remember I stepped down. But the good news my cousin took over out old gym and made it into the Elite Gym. So you go to the fighting Gym for the regular and try your hand at the our gym for the elite." Sabrina smiled seeing Gray's intrest in the badge. "I think you should get a another regular badge and Elite before going there."

"Sure why not. I am close to the electric already so there is that. Duno wherever the wind takes us or whatever happens with my work first." Gray shrugged and gave her a look over. Sabrina nodded and looked at the berry farm. Eyes twinkling as she licked her lips. Turning to Mr.Berrywood, Gray wanted to make sure about something. "You have my number to call when they are spotted. I will leave a few of my pokemon here just in case I cant make it back on time."

"Thank you very much.That will work greatly. I will open the place back up in two days time. That will be the best time for the locals to get there small shipments. As well as a good time for us to plant fresh in the open sun for better results. Them we can close back up and allow the filter roof to nourish ecerything."

"Sounds good." Gray agreed and sent out a few Pokemon. "Go Growlithe, Pyron, Clyde, and G.o.dzilla."

"Dood!" Pyron said coming out. The others just looked on in silence. They looked as if they had been sleeping.

"Ok you three are on guard duty. Listen to old man Mr.Berrywood on tasks to do. I am going to head to compete at the next gym right quick to get another badge.

"Ruff ruff gr roo," Why cant I come? Growlithe asked.

"Because the enemy are a lot of flying types. You need more experience taking them down." Gray said looking at the upset little pooch. "If it gets bad I will come back immediately.I know how you dont want to be coddled and hover over." Gray squatted down and rubbed his head. "You want a challenge hears a big one. You keep this place taken care of when it is over we can have another battle. No hold bar. May the best man.."

"Grr grrr groow lithe!" Or best Pokemon win! Growlithe responded happily.

"Umm ok." Sabrina noticed he was still carrying her and decided not to mention it. "It is a long one. So we went in this dungeon by mistake...."

-An hour later-

"That is pretty crazy." Gray said as they arrived in the town. Vermillion city was about an hour and a half pa.s.sed the place. "So now.. wait there. Look in the gra.s.s."

"It looks really hurt. They all do." Sabrina ran over and started to help.

"Not that bad though. Easy fix for us." Gray pulled out his medical kit and got to work. The little Vulpixes were not that injured. They just looked really rough. Bandaging them up and a little treatment went a long way. "There we go."

"Thank you trainer." A vulpix spoke softly. He used perfect human to guess while doing so. "If we could repay you we would."

"They can come with us!" Empress said as she jumped down. "I want them on our team. More precisely mine command. Gonna need me some troops." Empress walked around like a drill sergeant nodding her head. Her tail lifting the Pokemon up before setting them back down. "Good teeth on this one here. Good for biting and tearing."

"Hehe," Sabrina laughed but kept watching. She looked at Gray who had a serious look on his face. "You serious about taking them with?"

"Depends if they want to go. I will need a big force in the future no reason to start now. However, she looks really excited about this." Gray gave Sabrina a small smile and turned back to watch Empress who looked the Pokemon over. There was a total of 6 Vulpix's. And one had white fur which was weird considering the weather currently. "Well it will give her some work to do between her down time. So I am not gonna say no."

"Attention!" Empress said at the Pokemon. In turn they all sat up straight with there heads held high. "They agreed Gray. Now catch them!" Empress had a grin on her face as she gave a thumbs up.

"Alright then. Best time to try these out." Gray took out 6 pokeb.a.l.l.s that he changed. So far they would do nothing but there was two slots that fixed into it. One for his inventory to disperse food into. The second for items to help with raising. So far nutriblocks were the only thing inside them. "Go." With a toss the b.a.l.l.s in large and tap the Pokemon on the heads gently.

"Doop!" The b.a.l.l.s shook once and that was it. Wrapping them in psychic energy he brought them back.

"Well good job Empress. You secured 6 pokemon to help us." Gray looked at her still in a pose. She gave him a salute before laughing hysterically.

"Ahahaahha, yay. I am a Pokemon trainer now. Ahahaha I am gonna start gathering badges now." Empress rolled on the ground before stopping. She grabbed a pokeball and enlarged it. "Ok time to catch me a wild Gray and Sabrina."

"Haha very funny." Gray walked over and took the ball back.

"Hey!" Empress said indignant. "But I want to catch you and Sabrina."

"You already caught me you little mischief maker." Gray gave her a kiss in the forehead before getting her to settle down. "As for Sabrina we dont ha e enough badges to catch her yet. Plus we have to weaken her first."

"Haha very funny." Sabrina said dryly.

"She thinks we are joking." Gray looked at Empress.

"Yes she does. Should we hit her with a tag team Charm?" Empress retorted back. They both looked at Sabrina who was backing away slowly.

"Noooo!" Sabrina screamed. The last thing she saw were two hearts coming at her. "Ah," she followed along dazed into the Pokemon center then to a restraint before coming to. "Wahh were am I?"

"A restaurant." Gray said. "Happy Birthday Sabrina."

"Hey.. how did you know?" Sabrina looked at the candles in front of her and smiled. "I havent celebrated my birthday since I was five."

"Hmm I could be vague but nah. I knew it was sometime soon so.." Gray started to say before he saw the tears. "Maybe this was a bad idea."

"No its nice." Sabrina said wiping the tears away. "Thank you."

"What would you to like to drink?" The waiter came and ask.

"I would like some water please." Sabrina said.

"I want some lemonade." Gray responded. The waiter left. "I would have taken tou somewhere fancy but that would require clothing change up. This was the easier option. Plus yah know cake."

"Heh it dazed you for a second. Ori And Empress just made you confused enough to follow me to the town. The very moment, if someone would have touch you it would have been over." Gray said looking at her. "Didnt want to risk you freaking out again. So if you do now its whatever."

"Ok. For your next birthday I am taking you to a restaurant." Gray smiled then looked at the menu. "Let's see what we have here."

"Yup." Gray said not looking up.

"Then it is a date!" Sabrina smiled and picked up the menu. The meal went fine till desert came. Sabrina's Pokegear went off and Gray received a message from Growlithe. The ezpokeball was such a wonderous thing.

'What is it Growlithe?'

"Pyron has spotted a few Taillow in the area. Also some people are snooping around." Growlithe's voice sound only a little alarmed. 'I think they are thieves. They are moving very stealthily.'

'We are on our way.' Gray stood up and looked at Sabrina with a little frown. "Soory about this."

"Nonsense. For the berries!" Sabrina grabbed the cake and teleported out.

"Haha for the berries." Paying the bill Gray teleported out as well. He arrived a few minutes after her. Landing on the roof of the place. 'You called a officer to inform them?'

'Yes. They wont be here until 15 minutes ot so. Mr.Berrywood said that there was a fire not to far down the way. It is holding things up. A fight started outside between the owner and some kid.' Sabrina gave Gray a look. 'I think there is something else here that he didnt warm us about.'

'Agreed.' Gray thought back. 'But what?' He got his answer a few seconds later. 'It cant be possible.'

Below were people dressed like Team Rocket. However the person there in front was Giovanni. He looked old and extremely tired. In his hand was a black ball with an M on it. A bubble appeared alerting Gray what Giovanni had.

'Sabrina he has a thief ball. If he captures any of my Pokemon I will kill him and his entire crew.' Gray said sinisterly. He had a problem with people steal others Pokemon. Now if the person was mistreating the Pokemon sure. But just because you want what they have.. h.e.l.l no.

'I agree. But our expokemon are fine. Let's wait and see what they do.' Sabrina relaxed herself against the roof and listened in.
