"While little miss changes how about we get your hut set up. Don't worry no one will bother you here. It's one of the reasons I chose this spot. It's the center of nowhere so to speak. I don't think I had more than a few dozen visitors in as many years. " She starts unfolding the teepee. She points to some long heavy wood poles by the house.
"There were some men who needed some hard wood for something a few years back. They stopped and asked if they could cut a few trees. I told them I needed a few tall strong poles carved that if they would make them for me that was payment. So I wasn't sure what kind you preferred. They made them from three tall but skinny pines. They seem to be the right size though. If not you will have to find what you need yourself. "
Inola walks over to look at them . They actually are just the right size and they were able to get them almost the exact width as well. He turns to the woman standing there looking at him.
"They did a great job, I will be able to put it up in no time thank you. Do you mind my asking you something?" He wonders if she will answer him or will she hide what she knows.
"Sure but I can't promise that I will answer. "
"How did you know to prepare all of this? How was you able to come into my dreams to get me to come?" He takes the poles down so they can be tied together, waiting for her to answer. Moll thinks for a minute pondering on how to explain it to him.
"Well , just like you I went on a spirit walk. When they wanted to burn me I called upon the spirits for guidance. They told me I had to survive to fix the past. I was scrying a few days before they came to get me . It showed me this place. So I arranged for my escape and took the first boat to Virginia . I then made my way here. Once here I began finding ways to see what was to come and what was needed to be fixed. I saw Ester and I saw Aisling . It's going to be hard for her but she will be fine. " Inola listened to her hearing the sadness in her tone as if she were trying to stop from crying.
"Why do you sound so sad?" He sees that she has wiped a tear from her eye.
"I'm sad because if she succeeds things will change and I may never actually get to meet my amazing grandchild. " he looks at this woman who tries so hard to be tough and cold, be on the verge of tears at the thought of not seeing Aisling. He smiles to himself. He now knows where Aisling gets it from. Her tendency to pretend to be tough and inside just be a marshmallow.
"Why are you snickering at me old man?" She has her hands on her hips glaring at him.
"I wasn't snickering I was just smiling to myself at the fact she takes after you in some ways. " he has the teepee up and gathers the other supplies from the ground to place inside. They hear the door open and Aisling comes out to see if she can help. Inola wishes he had a camera to show Astila later how adorable she looks in these clothes. She walks over to them to see if they need anything.
"Moll what exactly should I call you? I feel like it's disrespectful for me to just call you Moll."
Aisling sits on the ground since they don't seem to need her.
Moll thinks about it for a few minutes and looks at Aisling. Her hair glistening in the sun and her small round face looking so down cast. She wonders if she already knows that things may change when she fixes the past.
"How about you call me MiMi or MoRee. They are both grandmother nick names. "
Aisling beams with happiness and runs to hug her MoRee . She looks at the teepee and is in awe of the artwork that is on it. She touches the hide walking around it feeling the softness of it. Tears flow at the thought of Onacona . Seeing this Inola begins to tell her that many painted on the hides not just to distinguish one from another but often times it was to tell a story. He begins to explain.
"The Cherokee of Tennessee lived in huts not teepees. The huts were made of wood and mud. See here Onacona has their village depicted here. " he showed her that along the bottom to mid way of the structure a village of open air coverings as well as huts with the mountains behind it.
"Then why do we have a teepee I wonder?" She rests her chin on her hands exasperated that she has questions but no answers. He looks at her with compa.s.sion.
"Maybe on this journey you will get the chance to meet him and ask him your questions." He lets them know he has finished and wants to go get some water. They head back inside where Aisling already started a fire in the fireplace to be able to cook. Moll gets Inola a gla.s.s of water and goes to the table there she begins a.s.sembling the plants into a order to be used.
"Ok now shall we begin. First we will need to purify everything and set our intent . " with that said she starts by putting sage in a bowl and lights it with a small stick from the fire. Taking the sage around the room . Making sure to get every corner. She has a few crystals and sacred stones in the window absorbing the Suns light. . When completed she waves Aisling over.
" On your wedding day you will go back to before Ester finds out about her lover and sister. You need to try to find out what took place. Once you are there you will need to cast a glamour spell . This spell will be intended to disguise you and Astila from her eyes. If she sees you she may be able to see the resemblance between you guys. Once you know what happened hopefully you will be able to stop her. The only thing is that I do not know what will change once she is stopped. " Moll hopes that the only thing that changes is that the evil she started will end not anything else.
