Magical Ties 126 New Year's Eve

"Audis I know we always ask to break the rules but can we please break a few more tonight. No one really wants to celebrate tonight because of Remi. Do you think we can use the cafeteria tonight and have a New Year's Eve party for the patients? " holding her breath hoping he will say yes. 

"That is a really good idea. Let me get in touch with the foodservice team. Give me about an hour and I will get back to you." he hangs up and calls the hospital chef to come to his office. While he is getting things ready on his end Moll goes to gather everyone. 

"Ok I know that we are a sad bunch for celebrating tonight but I called Audis and we may get to have a party for the patients. He is going to see if we can use the cafeteria. All we will need is some decorations and music. " 

Aisling thinks for a few minutes and runs out of the room. They hear the bas.e.m.e.nt door slam. Steve jumps up and goes after her. 

"Aisling don't you dare I will tan your hide if I find you climbing or carrying those boxes. " hearing that Astila goes after them. Everyone else looks confused,wondering what is going on. A few moments later Astila and Steve are fussing at her while carrying a bunch of large plastic bins. 

Setting them down Aisling takes the lids off. Inside are New Years hats,noisemakers table cloths and banners. 

" Tada we have all we need in these bins. These were from a few years ago but they have never been opened or used . There are no dates on them either so no one will know." 

Salali shakes her head of course Aisling would have these. Yona's curiosity gets the better of him and he has to ask. 

"Aisling why do you have this many unused decorations?" 

"Well when Marshal wanted to first open the bar he asked me to get him some decorations. His liquor license did not get approval till after New Years. So he had to delay the opening. I had already bought these and put them away for the next year. By then we had forgotten all about them and ordered new ones. So these have been stored till now. " she grins at everyone very happy they can now decorate properly. She even has a tank of helium for the box of balloons. Moll's phone rings it's Audis. 

"The chef says as long as it's only snack food and punch it's a go. How about decorations is there time to get any?" Moll smiles and lets him know it's covered. When she hangs up they all get ready and head to the hospital. 

Randy brings karaoke equipment and sets it up. He has a gig tonight and can't be here with them. He was hoping to be the first person to kiss Salali at midnight. With all of them working together they get done in no time. He Jin takes Crystal up to her mommy's room for a visit. Reminding her that tonight's party is a surprise. 

Remi smiles brightly to see her two visitors, giving them both a big hug. They are taking a walk around the ward when Astila arrives . He came to check on his patient. They head back to her room while He Jin takes Crystal back down. 

"So are you ready to get out of here?" 

Remi vigorously nods her head yes. 

"you can only come home under two conditions. One you comeback to our house so that we can watch over you. Two you meet with a psychiatrist to get help with the ptsd. " 

He knows it's asking a lot of her but it's for her sake as well as Crystal's. He hopes she will be agreeable. If she is there then his brother may calm down . He has done nothing but coddle Crystal and snap everyone's head off since she got hurt. 

She nods in agreement and hugs Astila. He can't wait to hear her talk , he hopes that Crystal can hear her mommy's voice soon. He waves bye to Remi and goes to issue new orders to the nurses. It's not long before the nurse comes in to take out her iv. While she is chatting a man walks into the room. It's not someone that Remi has met before. He looks very distinguished and mysterious with sungla.s.ses on. The nurse notices that Remi is holding her arm . Looking up she sees the stranger. 

"I'm sorry sir but she is not allowed visitors. You have to leave. " slipping her hand into her pocket she pushes the silent alarm. As he comes into the room any way. Security is alerted immediately that there is trouble. the man continues to walk towards the bed. Taking his gla.s.ses off they both gasp with recognition. 

"Mr. Mayor you have to leave you cannot be here. This room is off limits."

he grabs the nurse by the neck. 

"This is my town I can be anywhere I want. Now get out of my way I have something to discuss with the s.l.u.t." He pushes her down to the floor and goes to grab Remi. The nurse crawls out of the room to try to get help faster. When security arrives he has Remi by the throat telling her in a guttural tone

"you have taken my children away so I will make you disappear. You are a worthless piece of trash that doesn't deserve to live." 

Yona reaches the room hearing what he said he knocks the security guard out of the way. Grabbing the mayor he pushes him off Remi . Slamming his fist into his face. The Mayor staggering tries to get away. Yona tackles him and beats him till he is unconscious. Astila rushes into the room hearing the commotion and pulls his brother off of him. 

"stop before you kill him! " holding Yona away from the mayor as they remove him from the room. Yona shrugs his brother off and goes to the bed. 

"Remi you ok ? Let me look did he hurt you. I came as fast as I could." He is so frantic with worry he can barely speak in a coherent sentence. Touching her face and looking at her neck. When she raises her eyes Yona can't stand to see the sadness in them. He leans towards her and kisses her softly. Their lips barely touch before the room erupts into cheers. The entire family is trying to squeeze into the room. Remi blushes with embarra.s.sment at them witnessing her first real kiss. 

Crystal squeezes through the adults to come into the room. She sees Yona sitting on the bed with her mommy. She runs to the bed and raises her arms. Yona picks her up and she curles up between them, kissing both of them. 

"I love you two the most in the world." The three hug together as the family looks on. Aisling takes Astila's hand and they go out of the room. She is smiling with happiness that Remi is ok. They hear a commotion at the end of the hall. Going to take a look they hear the Mayor demanding for Yona to be arrested. 

The police have arrived and Terry is getting the nurses statement. Aisling can feel Astila tensing up. She squeezed his hand to stop him from saying anything. The mayor notices Terry and yells 

"You get me out of here and go arrest the brute that did this. " Terry has a nervous look on his face but takes a visible deep breath. 

"Mr mayor you are under arrest for a.s.sault and battery. You will be taken out of here now and placed in jail ." He nods to the two officers to take him away. The mayor continues to struggle and yell obscenities as he is being escorted out. Terry looks up and sees Astila's angry face he knows something is up. Walking over to the couple he lowered his head. 

"I'm sorry for the commotion honestly I figured the mayor would do what he always does. Have the higher ups give orders to close the case . I did not expect him to come after her himself. I have been having a hard time with this . On one hand your my best friend and I have always tried to look out for you. On the other he is pressuring us to leave things alone and to only half do our job. It's been hard lying to you and not doing things properly. I'm sorry Aisling I really am." 

Aisling give Terry a hug. 

" you think I don't know my friend and how he is. I knew as soon as Dean was suspected that you were going to have a hard time. That some of it was because of pressure from the mayor. That some of it was your guilty consciences. I know you never wanted anything bad to ever happen. I also know that you are a good man and friend. I know that your hands were tied in many ways. Thank you though for trying to apologize. It shows me that my friend is still a good guy . " Terry looks down at the girl he always dreamed would see him as more than a friend. Knowing by her words that she knows about high school. He nods and gives her one last hug. He knows what he needs to do. Saying goodbye he gets on the elevator and heads to the station. Calling the prosecutor on his way. 

" we need to come clean do you still have the evidence locked away?" Hearing him say yes he agrees to meet after work. 

The hall way is filled with the family heading back down to get things ready for the party. Leaving Remi and Yona alone for a little bit. They divide up and go to the different wards to inform the staff of the party and to invite the patients that are able to attend.
