Ruan Bai was just an Omega. He didn't know what an Alpha with the S-level gene meant.
At this moment, he just felt that he shouldn't have skipped cla.s.ses of the anthropology in the past. He wanted to tell his former Anthropology teacher that Alphas were not as strong as they were cracked up to be in the textbooks; in fact, they were as fragile and vulnerable as delicate flowers.
'Although Professor She's face remains impa.s.sive, he must be in pain because he has a bone fracture. But for the sake of his dignity as an Alpha, he has to pretend that he is all right.
I think the social stereotypes of Alphas should be abandoned. Can't Alphas cry for the pain? Don't they need to be comforted? Are Alphas necessarily stronger than Omegas?
Alas! They seem to live a difficult life.
Thus it can be seen that we Omegas live better than Alphas,' he thought.
Ruan Bai took She Yuan's hand and said, " Mr. She, you can rest a.s.sured that I will take good care of you."
She Yuan had got full marks in the final Anthropology examination. But now he had no idea whether Omegas had an inherent shortage of intelligence.
But he was satisfied with the result, so he nodded, "Okay. Thank you."
Hearing the conversation between She Yuan and Ruan Bai, all people around regretted not keeping a bully pig. It seemed that they would have the opportunity to approach Professor She as long as their guarding beasts rammed into Professor She.
With his heart filled with guilt and sympathy for She Yuan, Ruan Bai said in a sincere tone, "Mr. She, shall I take you to the hospital first?"
She Yuan didn't agree. "No. There's no need for me to go to hospital. I want to go home first."
Were Alphas all keen on face-saving? He had a broken leg, but refused to go to the hospital.
Ruan Bai grabbed She Yuan's arm, stood on tiptoe and whispered in his ear, "Mr. She, don't be afraid that you will lose face. I will pretend to accompany you home. When they are gone, let me take you to the hospital, okay?"
Ruan Bai's breath caressed She Yuan's neck and his soft lips accidentally grazed She Yuan's earlobe, which made She Yuan feel ticklish.
She Yuan smelt the heavy scent of milky sweetness from Ruan Bai again, and this time he recalled the first cake he had eaten in his childhood. Although it was sugary, he wanted to eat another piece.
She Yuan didn't understand why Ruan Bai thought that he was afraid of losing face. But if Ruan Bai could accompany him home, he would think about this advice.
She Yuan was a little bit charmed by Ruan Bai's soft voice.
He hesitated for a moment and nodded, "Okay."
"Please wait a moment, Mr. She. I'm going to put Dave back in my optical computer." Ruan Yuan paused for a second and explained, "Dave is my guarding beast. I'm so sorry he rammed into you just now. He's silly, but he's really a good pig. He didn't mean to hurt you."
She Yuan nodded and signalled for Ruan Bai to deal with his guarding pig.
When Ruan Bai came to Dave, he was shocked by the scene: the giant snake wrapped its long body around Dave, sticking its scarlet tongue out and licking Dave's face, while poking Dave's belly with its tail. Dave was too scared to move, with a look of desperation.
Ruan Bai pointed to the two beast and complained to She Yuan, "Mr. She, look at your guarding beast! "
He was like a child complaining to his kindergarten teacher about his deskmate robbing him of his snacks. She Yuan was pleased that Ruan Bai seemed to think of him as a trustworthy person.
He ordered Doctor to let go of Dave, but Doctor was unwilling. She Yuan went over and whispered to Doctor, "Not now. Be patient."
Doctor slowly loosed its grip on the lovely pig. Dave immediately ran over and hid behind Ruan Bai.
Ruan Bai held Dave in his arms and complained, "Alas, you are a troublemaker!" After comforting Dave for a while, Ruan Bai finally put his guarding beast in his optical computer.
He turned around and was surprised to see She Yuan standing at a little distance from him. "Mr. She, have your leg healed?" he asked.
Just as the words fell from his lips, She Yuan collapsed into Ruan Bai's arms.
"No, it still aches."
