@@After dashing off from the barracks, I fly to the furthest edges of the map. Why here, you ask? Because compared to the soldiers, I can get here way faster, which means I have more time to search for the flag than they do.
The area I'm currently is a landscape of lush greenery, some might call it a forest. I fly down, into the shrubbery.
Hmm, the large trees are blocking out most of the sunlight, making the everything in the area less visible. It going to be hard to look for the flag in here but I'm glad I decided to come here first. If the soldier came here, it would be very easy to overlook something, which might of resulted in my loss. I use my super speed and small body to my advantage, scouring every inch of the area.
A couple minutes later I come across a small lake. Hearing a waterfall in the background, I fly over to investigate. A rare opening of sunlight falls onto the glittering crystal blue water. The shimmering light blue cascades down the waterfall, creating the small lake.
Hmm, I wonder... I fly closer to the waterfall looking for a hidden cave or secret entrance like in the movies. I'm disappointed to find a rock wall behind the drapes of water, no cave.
But! There still might be a hidden mechanism somewhere around here. I glide my fingers across the surface of the stone wall.
I fly randomly over the side of the wall, my hand sliding against its surface. After spending a minute on the wall, I haven't found anything out of place. I was about to give up when a voice behind me startled me," You remind me of a fly trying to escape a house, continuously slamming into the gla.s.s without realizing its own stupidity. What are you searching for, little fly?"
The lighthearted and melodious voice drifts into my ear, shocking me. The slightly high-pitched voice holds a trace of playfulness and killing intent. I turn to face the young boy and look into his cat-like eyes that stare at me like some kind of prey.
