While they continue chatting, I detach myself from Sven's shirt and leave through the window. I drop down the tower and land on the ground next to the base.

She's completely given up. No...it's not that she's given up, it's that she doesn't know what else she can do. That child has no way to escape this horrible situation, she's been abandoned by her family, and will soon be sent off to be married. Horrible...

I don't know what I would do in her situation. I don't think I'd have the guts to try to escape... I have a newfound respect for the child. I want to help her somehow.

I splice with one of the nearby trees and plant myself right next to the tower, beneath the window. I also mixed in a couple other plants that would make the growth quicken. I'm not sure of the exact date of when they come to take her away, so I need to grow as fast as possible.

I'm not sure if the exact time it'll take to grow, but once it's fully matured, the girl will be able to climb down it to escape. But everything after that will be up to her to figure out. I won't be able to help her once she escapes the tower.

I transfer back to Sven's shoulder and continue to listen to their conversation. Sven says," This...although it may seem easier to resign yourself to fate, we're talking about the future of your happiness here. Although there's no telling what will happen in the future if you do successfully escape, isn't it better? If you don't take this chance, you might just end up regretting it for the rest of your life."

"But-" The girl starts to say something but is cut off by Sven.

"Look, I've been all over the world and have met many people. I've listened to their stories and their regrets. Do you know what they all had in common?"

"...What?"

"They all regret not taking a risk. Not having enough courage to do what they wanted to do. And now? All they can do is ruminate over the past."

"Mmm" The girl hums in reply, going into deep thought.
