He was lucky, if the surrounding energy wasn't in the state it was currently, he'd be gone the first time he entered. Looking back to before he came here, he noticed that the people with him, Eyisha and Kitsi included became even more nervous as they came closer to the village. At first he chalked it up to the thought of entering that dark entrance.
But their reaction to enter although tense, had a hint of relief and reluctance. Something out there scared all of them more than the thought of entering the gate. And if he was right, it was the cause for all living creatures in the surrounding vicinity vanishing and the energy imbalanced.
He needed to get out of this... soon.

Nearby a woman was looking at the bright sky for a moment, her body angled in an unnatural way on the ground. The sun was glaring, but it was soon covered by the shadow of an arm slamming on her face.
Three people, she counted. At least those that were with her. She had no chance to run definitely not. One of them men kept shouting at her, but it was like he was screaming through a fog, eardrums definitely busted.
Her whole strength was only put into gripping the parcel in her hands, she somehow stopped caring about the pain to the rest of her body or torso. Either that or the flesh, muscles and nerves all underneath her skin was beaten to a mulch, unresponsive.
She saw a man in the crowd look at her with panicked eyes. He rushed forward, punching the outermost man in the face with a satisfying crackle, but another two popped up, five men in total.
They were big and brutish and just barely a match for the man as he swung his powerful fists and tail. He was a warrior, a strong one too. Too bad warriors weren't allowed to bring their weapons with them, but these men, were probably some n.o.ble's guard.
They didn't have very large and eye catching weapons, but clubs and knives did the trick, two hands were the only thing she could see as the rest of the man's body was engulfed by several layers of bodies all hostile. The hands kept swinging for awhile, desperate to find anything to latch on to, or to just claw at. But soon it slowed down, stopping with a final twitch and a pool of blood seeping between the lower bodies of the a.s.sailants.
Tears streamed down her face, in her mind she knew she was going out for the count, the darkness was clouding her vision, why couldn't she go before she saw that. In her final moments she wanted to scream out the pain in her heart, but it was choked by the blood in her throat, her lungs were probably already perforated a while ago.
But even then, she didn't let go of the package.

Zhao Wei was so annoyed, his body wasn't listening to him. He'd been here for three days and he wasn't sure what was going on outside his surroundings and this old man. Even if he wanted to ask for help to do this and that, he couldn't speak. He hadn't fed Panda for three days!! Even if she probably wouldn't die as her energy was always stored as she was sleeping, but he felt guilty, he'd never missed a day before.
In the conversations he had with himself in his mind he reminded himself that the next time he did this, he'd leave the Pitka with a to-do list.
It was like every muscle fiber of his body had electricity coursing through it, making them tense to immovable levels. No matter how much the nerdy fluctuated, he couldn't close the connection.
He'd already resigned himself to this position. Some days Pitka would be bored and he'd messed around, poking a stick up the boy's nose or drawing gla.s.ses with mud. He could only curse in his mind as his mouth didn't follow the order to rain insults at the old man and purposely add more saliva to it.
This time, Pitka had started piling anything he could find on top of he boys head. Starting from leaves, to planks, to books, to somehow.. a beehive. He was going to balance a few stones on the stack next when suddenly. "See how I stack rocks on your face when you sleep... I won't put them down gently..."
He continued for 5 minutes, not knowing that the voice wasn't just in his head. When he was done he noticed that Pitka had registered all that he had said. "It's nice to be young... not afraid of danger." Pitka gave him a warm smile, but he may as well see the smile of the grim reaper in front of him.
"Well congratulations, your body is now at the level of a new born infant. It's not great, but it's a start. Now we can train you several times harder can't we?" Pitka said enthusiastically.
