Rui w.a.n.gfei’s remark weren’t words of consolation for Ning w.a.n.gfei. It was because she had become sensitive to heat since her pregnancy. However, in the residence, the servants did not allow her to drink anything cold. Occasionally, Rui w.a.n.g would secretly let her have a few sips to satisfy her craving.

"Some things are just really Heaven's will." Ning w.a.n.gfei smiled bitterly and withdrew her hand.

However, Gu Jiao only gave her a casual glance, recognizing her but showing no trace of pride or triumph.

She looked at her calmly as if she were observing an unrelated pa.s.serby. Even the details that once angered Gu Jiao seemed to have long been cast aside by her.

It was at this moment that Wen Linlang seemed to suddenly realize that Gu Jiao wasn't just pretending to be aloof. She truly never took her seriously.
