“Why do you want to find the suspect?”

The girl rolled her eyes after hearing Xu Shenxing’s comforting but completely useless words then asked in a suspicious tone,

“In a sense, Jiangjin City is my territory. I don’t mind the low-profile type like you living here, but I also don’t like abnormalities who could make trouble on my land.” Xu Shenxing casually answered, “Besides, I can earn money if I arrested the suspect.”

“…”

Qin Xingyan felt Xu Shenxing had became even more suspicious.

In her eyes, it was impossible for a powerful guy like Xu Shenxing would worry about money.

Except for ascetics, any person – even if the person only knew a little supernatural powers, it was enough for him to enjoy a extravagant life; not to mention the people who have real supernatural powers. Judging from Xu Shenxing’s clothes and his behaviors, he obviously wasn’t an ascetic. So, it was very strange for him to say that he was short of money.

He stretched out his hand and said, “Let me introduce myself again. My name is Xu Shenxing, the landlord of the Sakura Apartment. You can regard me as an exorcist.”

To be honest, Xu Shenxing’s career was Savior, since he could suppress Moli. However, it was too embarra.s.sing if he introduced himself like that.

“Qin Xingyan, a university student.” The girl hesitated for a moment, then she held Xu Shenxing’s hands as she stood up. “I’m the a disciple of the thirty-second generation of the White-Hart Taoist Temple.”

Xu Shenxing wasn’t able to understand a single bit of her explanation. He obtained his power from another world and knew nothing of the Xianxia world, much less the  Louguan Sect. He knew of Shushan, but his knowledge of it was from “The Story of a Swordsman from Shushan” – a Xianxia novel written by Huanzhu Louzhu.

Of course, this couldn’t stop him to say “Oh, I remember now!” and to pretend to be a knowledgeable.

Afterwards, they continued walking throughout the dormitory whilst exchanging information.

When Qin Xingyan found out that Xu Shenxing had other missing-people’s information, she seemed extremely happy.

“I didn’t carry the doc.u.ment with me so I’ll show you after we finish this test of courage.” Xu Shenxing didn’t reject her request and said, “I don’t think you will find any useful information from it. It only records the victim’s’ personal information and their location of disappearance.”

“Don’t think it too simple. Maybe I can find more information from the doc.u.ment. Such as is there any common point among these missing people? Or is there any sequence among their missing places? We may be able to find the suspect’s preference and predict the next place he will commit a crime…”

Qin Xingyan counted her fingers and a.n.a.lyzed.

Xu Shenxing thought for a moment, then he found it was too bothersome to refute her so he nodded. His face showed an expression of “Your words are so reasonable that I have no any words to response”.

Originally, the abandoned dormitory was built for the rich students, so its interior was especially large; no wonder the university chose to build it on the mountain. Its building cost would be very expensive if they built it in the city.

For that reason, its interior was able to allow five groups of people hold the test of courage inside of it, and meanwhile, they also didn’t coincide their routes.

However, after walking for a while, Xu Shenxing was unable to find the stairs. He had a premonition that something was wrong.

In addition, he was also suddenly aware that he didn’t know since when, Qin Xingyan had stopped talking and quieted down.

He glanced behind him. However, no one was behind him.

“…Hallucii?”1

He hesitated for a moment, then abruptly punched on the wall.

His fist punched through the wall as if it was a piece of cookie. The remaining power of his fist shattered the wall, causing a corridor to appear behind the debris of the wall.

Xu Shenxing cautiously walked through the hole, then continued walking normally for a while. However,he unexpectedly found that he had unknowingly walked back to the entrance.

Xu Shenxing rubbed his chin, pondering for a moment, then returned to the dormitory.

However, he was unable to enter, he walked back to the entrance unknowingly several times.

“The suspect knows that he is no match for me, so he doesn’t want to let me in? Interesting…”

Xu Shen walked around the abandoned dormitory and found nothing had changed on the outside. He stood in the doorway and shouted, “If you still don’t let me in, I’m gonna destroy the whole house!”

At first, he was just thinking “Anyway, it won’t hurt”, so he shouted out. He didn’t expect that a small mound appeared in the abandoned flower bed. As if an invisible hand was kneading the dark soil of the mound, soon after, the mound condensed into a human shape.

“Why do you kids always come into my home and make so much noise? I just want to scare you, but you are gonna tear down my house?! What’s wrong with the world?!” The mud person angrily roared towards Xu Shenxing, “Don’t think the G.o.d of Land isn’t a real G.o.d! If you made me angry, I would be very dreadful!”

“Are you the G.o.d of Land?” Xu Shenxing paused for a moment, then asked curiously, “Isn’t the G.o.d of Land that kind of little creature, which looks like a brown and chubby toad, and always appears in flower bed and mud land?”

Xu Shenxing had seen that kind of little creature appeared by the roadside for many times. In most cases, they were planted dog-tail gra.s.ses…

“F*ck off! That’s the Spirit of Earth! One of the lowest spirits!”

It was so angry to shiver its body after hearing Xu Zhenxing words, and the way it wobbled made Xu Shenxing worry about its mud head falling off.

Xu Shenxing knew that he made a fool of himself because of his ignorance.

“I’ve lived in Jiangjin City for many years, why I had never seen you…?”

It seemed that the G.o.d of Land had a strong prejudice against human beings.

Xu Shenxing compared himself with the G.o.d of Land, and found his power was far superior than its power. In fact, even Qin Xingyan was also much stronger than it – so he continued, “Can you let my cla.s.smates out? Oh right, if you tell me the information about that girl who disappeared here three days ago, it would be much appreciated.”

“As long as they don’t come to bother me, I won’t scare them… After all, I haven’t yet raid today’s dungeon in the game.” The G.o.d of Land muttered, then raised its tone, ” Yes, I know the event happened three days ago, but why should I tell you?”

“How about I pay for it?” Xu Shenxing asked, not thinking it would work.

“500 RMB. No counter-offer.” The mud person stretched out its right hand.

Hmm… What should I say? It was really a mercenary G.o.d of Land.

Xu Shenxing thought for a while. He thought Qin Xingyan should be quite rich, and 500 RMB shouldn’t be a problem for her. So he nodded.
