Jade's Time 1

It started back when I was a kid, I had wandered into a small cave that was in my back yard, my parents lived in a big house in the woods so caves were easier to find, I had always liked exploring so I went into that cave not knowing what would happen.

JADE-"h.e.l.lO! Wow this cave goes far..."

Suddenly I slipped and fell deeper into the cave landing in a circular room with three pedistals around the walls forming a triangle. the pedistals seemed to have these randomly morphing shapes with what looked like places in the world. All of them looked like my house but each looked like they were from a diferent time. For instance, one was from when my house was being built back in the 1800's one was now and one was when my house seemed to be abandoned and dilapated.

JADE-"Wait wh."

Out of nowhere they started to move off their pedistals towards me, I tried to go back out of the cave but the ledge I fell from was too high to reach so I tried to run but I was surrounded by the shapes I tried to scream but by the time I was able to utter a sound they were already too close to me and then, black...

She woke up, somehow outside of the cave surrounded bu her parents asking about how she got there and what happened, I simply said-

JADE-"I dont know..."

They set up a doctors appointment for the next day. I went to bed that night and then I heard it...

VOICE 1-"Hey."

I sat up immidately and said-

JADE-"h.e.l.lo? Who's There?"

VOICE 1-"Can you hear us?"

JADE-"I guess but what- who?"

VOICE 1-"HEY GUYS GET OVER HERE AND INTRODUCE YOURSELVES!!!"

JADE-"Ok whats happening?"

VOICE 2-"Hi im, uh Present."

VOICE 1-" Im Past!"

VOICE 3-"Im Future."

JADE-"So... Past, Present, and Future? Why the weird names?

FUTURE-"Well I can show you the future."

PAST-"I can show you the past."

PRESENT-"And I can show you the present."

JADE-"But why did you decide to... you know..."

PAST-"Well it was Destinys choosing"

JADE-"What does that mean?"

FUTURE-"Well its niot just us three, there's also Destiny he chooses what we see."

PAST-"Yeah he chooses like everything involving us."

PRESENT-"He is like our guy that chooses just about everything in this universe!"

JADE-"Sooo he is like your leader?"

FUTURE-"You will figure it out before the doctors appointment tomorrow."

JADE-"I will? How could you possi-, Oh yeah you're future..."

PRESENT-"Yeah well I see you're getting tired, hows about we talk tomorrow k?"

JADE-"Alright, Goodnight you three."

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-"Night!"

I slept that night with questions about these... what I will later call my monsters, what and who they are and why me, otherwise I slept knowing I made new friends.

DOCTOR-"It seems that on the x-ray we picked up some tumors, which could have been the reason that she pa.s.sed out yesterday, considering one was in her brain."

MOM-"Oh my gosh thats not good right?"

DAD-"Is there annyway that they could be removed?"

DOCTOR-"Well thats the problem, because of the location of the tumors they cant be removed but they dont seem to be harmfull at all so I dont think they will be a problem."

JADE-"Doctor? How manny are there?"

DOCTOR-"Uh three why do you ask?"

JADE-"No reason, just wondering?"

I did have a reason, and that reason was Past, Present, and Future. Would they be harming me or would they be helping me? whatever the reason they did what they did for about 5 years... Until one day...

5 Years Later

Sophmore Year Of Highshool

FUTURE-"Jade..."

FUTURE-"Jade wake up your gonna be late for school..."

JADE-"Ngh what time is it..."

FUTURE-"7:32"

JADE-"c.r.a.p I HAVE 28 MINUTES TO GET READY AND BE THERE!!!"

FUTURE-"Dont worry you will make it on time."

JADE-"I SURE HOPE SO!"

As Future predicted I was on time by 2 and a half minutes. I was in cla.s.s and Mr. Smith was more boring than ever, I soon drifted to sleep. I awoke in the same cla.s.sroom but n.o.body was there except this... man, or outline of a man, he was just made of light and I couldnt make out any details. Soon he spoke.

MAN-"h.e.l.lo Jade."

JADE-"How do you know my name?"

MAN-"I know alot more than just your name Jade."

JADE-"Like what..."

MAN-"Like how you are wondering who I am right now, well I am Destiny."

JADE-"Oh... so you are the Destiny the three monsters talked about so much."

DESTINY-"Yes and I am in need of your a.s.sistance."

JADE-"How can I help you im just Jade."

DESTINY-"Wrong, you are more than 'just Jade'. you have the ability to change the Past, Present, and Future."

JADE-"Wait what, you mean I have control over the monsters abillities?"

DESTINY-"In a way, yes."

JADE-"Wait how do I do that, like what is the purpose of you revealing yourself now of all times?"

DESTINY-"All questions will be answered, well I have to go I will talk again soon."

JADE-"PLEASE DONT LEAVE WHAT ABOUT PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE!!!"

DESTINY-"Bye Jade, until next time."

JADE-"WAIT!!!"

I realized that I was now awake in cla.s.s with everybody looking at me like I was crazy. The bell rang and was my savior, but Mr. Smith stopped me and said."

Mr. SMITH-"Jade you DO know that you were asleep in cla.s.s right."

JADE-"Um yes?"

Mr. SMITH-"Well you were talking as well, you do know that you were disrupting my cla.s.s whilst sleeping?"

JADE-"No Mr. Smith sorry it won't happen again sir."

Mr. SMITH-"Well because of todays actions I will need you to write a 500 page essay on sleep, understand?"

JADE-"Yes sir, when is it due?"

Mr. SMITH-"Friday see you in cla.s.s tomorrow miss Desserre."

JADE-"See you Mr Smith."

He used my last name which, if you've been in school, you know is bad but I was more worried about the three monsters, Destiny and what they had planned for me. I completed the day not hearing annything from the three monsters which worried me more than annything. As soon as I got home I ran to my room and locked the door.

JADE-"Past! Present! Future! Hey you there guys?"

PAST-"Howzit going?"

PRESENT-"Hey we havent been able to talk to you all day until now what happened?"

FUTURE-"Yeah where were you?"

JADE-"I was in cla.s.s, but thats not that important, what IS important is that Destiny talked to me today!"

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-"WHAT!!! HE DID!!!

PAST-"Ok I see it now, you were in cla.s.s sleeping, shame on you, and he spoke to you while you were asleep."

FUTURE-"For once I cant see that far into the future at all, like not at all."

PRESENT-"IM BLIND!!!"

PAST/FUTURE-"WHAT!!!"

PRESENT-"Oh wait I just cant see into the present IM OK!"

PAST/FUTURE-"Dang it present!"

JADE-"You guys are funny and all but can we get to the topic of YOU LOST YOUR POWERS!!!"

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-Yeah thats not good, is anything different with you Jade?"

Well I didnt feel any different at the time but that was subject to change because what happened that night, was something new that would change me, forever. I was asleep, dreaming of something or another and I woke up, I was floating above my bed by about a foot or so and wherever I looked there was light. I a.s.sumed my eyes were glowing white. Suddenly I could see what looked like big bubbles floating in tha air, and in place of the reflections on them there was a memory on one, a normal reflection on another, and another memory but this one was me waking up and again running to school late except this time my clock showed tomorrows date. I was shocked and I didnt know what was happening, this was beyond my level of comprehension. I fell through my bed eyes still slightly glowing and landed in someplace akin to the streotypical void setting. I was lying on some sort of ground for what seemed like an eternity and then he appeared, Destiny himself here to talk again, except this time I had no control over my whole body so he talked to me anyway.

DESTINY-"Hey Jade, I cant stay here too long on account of you being about to wake up but you have been given the powers of Past, Present, and Future."

DESTINY-"Dont try to move it will only wake you up faster."

DESTINY-"ANY WAY, your three 'monsters' will help you use your new gifts as well as myself."

DESTINY-"Just dont forget to take a break every once and awhile or this power will take a toll on your brain."

DESTINY-"Farewell and good luck Jade."

I woke up and, as I had seen before, I was late. I picked up my bag and before I could meke it out the door I caught a glimpse of my own face in the mirror, my eyes were still glowing. I panicked and looked for something to cover my eyes with. I found some old sungla.s.ses that had beonged to my dad.

JADE-"Welp their mine now, sorry dad."

I tried them on, they covered the glow quite nicely so they were the only thing sheilding the world from my eyes. I picked up my bag and left for school. I diddnt fall asleep in cla.s.s today but my teacher, Mr. Smith gave me a lecture about being late because while looking for the sun gla.s.ses instead of getting my report written and out of the way, that just means that I need to write it tonight and il be fine. On the way home I was walking along the street and my gla.s.ses fell off then I had this... Vision I guess I would call it, my head started to pulse in painfull waves, next my vision started to spin and warp, finally I lost balance and fell to the ground. I just saw flashes, flashes of my entire town... on fire, my home destroyed blood everywhere and me standing over my parents bodies crying. I woke up and saw I was surrounded by the people that were nearby when I fell.

PERSON 1-"Are you ok, you fell and... your eyes...

PERSON 2-"What happened, do you have any medical conditions? We called an ambulance."

JADE-"I need to go."

PERSON 3-"Wait what about the ambulance! Do you need help like at all?"

JADE-"No im fine gotta go, il be late for dinner!"

I wasnt going to be late for dinner, my parents left for work early and came back late so I usualy cooked for myself, I just wanted to get away from everything, everybody because I needed to talk with Past, Present, and Future like right now. I opened my front door and ran upstairs to my room, locked the door, and started asking questions.

JADE-"PAST!!!"

JADE-"PRESENT!!!"

JADE-"FUTURE!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-"Were here whats wrong!"

JADE-"Oh my gosh its SO good to hear your voices!"

PAST-"Why whats wrong?"

PRESENT-"Wait your nose is bleeding!"

FUTURE-"And your eyes!"

JADE-"Lets sit down and il tell you guys everything."

I told them everything that happened today and they wernt as shocked as they should have been, they kind of figured that something was wrong with me with them being in my body and everything. After I was done they chatted amongst themselves and they finally came up with what happened.

PAST-"Sooo it seems that whatever Destiny did to you caused your eyes to glow."

PRESENT-"That glow is the source of your power."

FUTURE-"But that power was stolen fom us sometime last night."

PAST-"We no longer posses that power but you, Jade, do now."

PRESENT-"You have our power now, and beter yet they're combined."

JADE-"What does that mean?"

FUTURE-"It means that you can control all of our powers and then some."

JADE-"So that explains the vision I saw earlier."

PAST-"Yes."

JADE-"So my glowey eyes are the source of my power right?"

PRESENT-"Yes so when your sungla.s.ses fell off its power was unleashed so you had a vision."

JADE-"You said 'And then some' what does that mean?"

FUTURE-"It means you have powers that we didnt have access to."

JADE-"Like what?"

PAST-"We have no way of knowing but if you dont find what they are."

PRESENT-"Only use them if nessecary."

FUTURE-"We have no way of knowing what they could do to your body."

JADE-"Like, could it KILL ME?"

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-"We dont know sorry..."

JADE-"WELL THATS JUST GREAT!!!"

PAST-"Jade just calm down you will be fine."

JADE-"I DONT KNOW THAT, NEITHER DO YOU!!!"

PRESENT-Jade just-"

JADE-"NO I JUST *sigh* I just need to write that report and go to bed."

FUTURE-"Jade..."

JADE-"Just leave me alone for now..."

I completed my a.s.signment for Mr. Smith as I was told to, it was tuesday and it was due on friday so I was going to turn it in early and get it over with. I went to bed and had another dream with Destiny in it.

DESTINY-"Well I see you and your monsters had a bit of an arguement."

JADE-"Yeah I didnt feel too good about it, how are they?"

DESTINY-"They understand that you were confused about your new power as any human would be, but dont fret you will soon learn the powers that they have yet to master, you will outdo them in their own game."

JADE-"What do you mean about this 'you will outdo them in their own game' stuff?"

DESTINY-"Jade, you are more powerfull than they could ever be alone."

JADE-"How so?"

DESTINY-"Think time travel..."

JADE-"WOW REALY! I can time travel! How?"

DESTINY-"Welp gotta go got buisness to attend to see ya later Jade!"

JADE-"WAIT DONT LEAVE I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS!!!"

And then I woke up and was on time for a change. I apologized to the three monsters and left for school. When I got there I realized I forgot my sungla.s.ses, I ran behind a wall before anyone saw me. I was panicking I couldnt let anyone see my eyes as they are now then I thought... could my new powers help me in this situation. I tried focusing on pausing time so I could run home and get my sungla.s.ses but it wasnt working.

PRESENT-"Hey try closing your eyes, IMAGINING that the world is paused, and THEN opening your eyes and see if that works."

I did as he suggested I closed my eyes, imagined the world being paused and then when I opened them... It worked! The world was paused.

JADE-"This is perfect! Thanks Present!"

PRESENT-"No Problem!"

I rushed home, I didnt know how long the pause would last. I looked and looked and looked but I couldnt find my sungla.s.ses but then I remembered! They fell off my face in the street yesterday when I had the vision. I ran to the same spot where I had the vision and sure enough there they were... in some kids hand. would this be stealing if he stole them from me in the first place? Eh, who cares they are mine now. I s.n.a.t.c.hed the gla.s.ses and then the world slowly started moving again. I put the gla.s.ses on and ran to school. I entered the cla.s.sroom and said-

JADE-"WHOO...ON...TI-"

Mr.SMITH-"LATE AGAIN Miss Desserre!

He said this AGAIN in front of the WHOLE CLa.s.s! It would have been fine if today there was a test at the BEGINING OF CLa.s.s that I MISSED!(Sorry about yelling this cla.s.s kinda stresses me out)

JADE-"Well sir I wrote that paper on sleep that you wanted."

Mr.SMITH-"Well get ready because youre about to write another paper on the effect of tardiness in a cla.s.sroom enviroment now SIT DOWN!"

JADE-'Yes sir..."

I sat down and suprisingly learned nothing today was kind of a recap lesson. But that didnt stop me thinking about the upcoming apocolyse that would kill my parents ruin my home and bring chaos into my town. I actually couldnt stop thinking about it to the point where I was thinking about ways to prevent the apocolypse or just leave home altogether. If I just left I would need to change my appearance which meant, because I am 15 and cant get surgery, I could dye my hair and wear unsuspecting clothes. I might just dye my hair for the fun of it though. Yeah I would rather just save the town and also dye my hair... I like hair dye, ooh did I mention I still had some dark green in my closet. yeah saving my town was a better way to go, and il be stylish with some dark green hair. As soon as school was out I did that essay and dyed my hair jade green, huh what a coincidence.

DESTINY-"You know you can make that VERY perminant with some of my power right?"

JADE-"You can? Do it!"

DESTINY-"Ok will do!"

My hair was now forever and will not grow or change color. It was good for the superhero thing I was gonna do. I spent the next few days learning powers to use in fighting the Impending Doom (Thats what I named it). My powers may or may not be sufficient so I wanted to win no matter if the training took up all of my free time, which it did. it was worth it though because I had new abilitys like, I can now travel through time via portals that I can conjure with my mind, I can freeze time for longer and also fast forward and rewind time at will. I as well figured out that I can change the past without creating a paradox, riddle me that. Anyway I thought I was ready to fight the inevitable Impending Doom. But when would it start? I decided to wait for it to happen, see events unfold. I went to the school to see rumors about what was going on. they were talking about this new kid in school named Damien and how he was so cool. Everybody loved damien but I didnt see why. Next I went to my own home to see my parents, but they were talking about someone being amazing, they were considering paying for their cause, whatever that means. And just walking about town I heard people also talking about Damien in an uplifting manner. Who was this damien guy and why does everybody know him but me? I did some research, I broke into the police station to find the last census records for my town but there was no damien, weird. I guess I would have to look around some more.

JADE-"Damien who are you and why does everyone talk about you so highly!"

DAMIEN-"They do because I make them."

JADE-"Damien?"

DAMIEN-"Behind you."

Jade looked back just to see a silhouette of a person but he was irradiating darkness, he had no face or other distingushing features. Around him I felt heavy, like all of the happyness drained out of my body right then and there.

JADE-"But your... Your-"

DAMIEN-"Wait, what do I look like?"

JADE-"Darkness..."

DAMIEN-"Hmm thats weird, let me try something, jump three times and then clap!"

JADE-"What why?"

DAMIEN-"I cant do it on you... Strange..."

JADE-"What do you have planned?"

DAMIEN-"Well I did plan on running the whole town but I cant now that I cant influence you so good job you ruined my plans! I guess il just ruin yours."

JADE-"Wait what do you mean?"

DAMIEN-"You DO know that I have your family under control right?"

JADE-"No..."

DAMIEN-"Clock is ticking, mabey you can see them one last time before they die!"

JADE-"NO!!!

I paused time and ran home as fast as I could as soon as I got home I unpaused time and looked around the house.

JADE-"MOM!!! DAD!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!"

Then I rember in my vision of the future my parents were in a puddle of their own blood in the back yard. I ran tripping over a radiator knocking the valve off. I got up and went outside. There they were, my dad with a razor at his neck and my mom with our shotgun in her mouth.

JADE-"MOM DAD NOOO-"

*Slice*

BANG!!!

JADE-"No why, I worked so hard to fix this..."

DAMIEN-"Your house is fine though... It would be a shame if someone were to... turn on the stove..."

JADE-"You monster!"

DAMIEN-"Oops sorry."

JADE-"No... Please dont..."

DAMIEN-"Too late!"

When my radiator valve came off it released gas into my house and when Damien turned on the stove it set the gas on fire, blowing up my house... I had no home, my parents were dead, and my town was destroying it self. I needed to go back, I needed to fix this. I didnt want this vision to be reality I wanted Damien to be dead!

JADE-"Im going to kill you Damien, before this all happens..."

DAMIEN-"Heh good luck with that, see you in h.e.l.l."

Damien left and I was left alone with my parents. I focused and went back to right when I got my powers, back to the start. I needed to find Damien, I needed to kill him, he must die today. I went back as far as I could without damaging my brain which was about 2 days, before Damiens rule over my city.

I woke up in my bed I cant rember what day it was but I knew I needed to find Damien, I would kill him. It took most of the 2 days but I found him, he was near the police station I grabbed him by the neck and chocked him. He resisted but he was moving less and less as I chocked him. I looked around and saw everyone else being chocked along with him and without knowing, I killed Damien and everyone else! I ran home to see my parents dead sitting on the couch with Late night on the tv.

JADE-"NO I KILLED THEM MYSELF THIS TIME!!! ARGH!!!FRICKIN AAAAAAGHHHHHHHH!!!

I could only go to the day it happened next time I went to the past but this time I would ask Damien myself where he was 5 days ago. I went back, back to when he killed my parents. When I got there my head pounded, My vision blurred, and I saw blood drip from my nose. This couldnt be good, my power was fading I asked the monsters for help, they responded, but they had been tainted by Damiens power.

JADE-"Past... Present...Future...Agh you there?"

PAST-"Yes..."

PRESENT-"We..."

FUTURE-"Are...

PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE-"Have you seen Damien, we need to see him..."

JADE-"No... That means if Damien dies you will die, Lets hope he got to my friends before he got to you."

I found Damien and asked him a few questions...

JADE-"You cant control me, I know that, but you can kill me if you answer me one question..."

DAMIEN-"Ok deal, whats the question?"

JADE-Where were you at noon 5 days ago?"

DAMIEN-"*Sigh* fine, I have been living in the sewers for about a month, feeding off peoples minds, why?"

JADE-"No reason, your gonna die soon though."

I went back 5 days ago, using all of my power she went to the sewer with a map I stole from the police station. I just needed to end this, once and for all! I went to all of the wells of the sewer and sure enough he was there. he had a hole in his chest that was quickly being filled by these dark strings that came from the sewer grates, he was begining to feed.

JADE-"Monsters, you there?"

PAST-"Yes Damien..."

PRESENT-"It is our almighty ruler Damien..."

FUTURE-"You have brought us home Jade thank you..."

Im too late, well this is a necessary sacrafice to be made. I had to hurry, I jumped on Damien before he could feed anymore. he stopped feeding and looked at me hanging on to his back.

DAMIEN-"YOU LITTLE BRAT!!! I WAS EATING!!!"

JADE-"YOU ARE NOT KILLING MY PARENTS AGAIN!!!

DAMIEN-"WAIT! Who are you? I cant seem to feed off you! You... How did you find me?"

JADE-"I ASKED YOU!

SNAP!

He fell, I fell on my back as his darkness started to peel away. Under the darkness there was a little boy inside, he was dead. The right thing to do was to give him a propper burrial, I carried him out of the sewer in my arms. When I left the sewer police cars pulled up and the police officers came out, guns in hand.

POLICE 1-"FREEZE!"

POLICE 2-"PUT THE KID DOWN!"

POLICE 3-"GET ON YOUR KNEES AND PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD!"

JADE-"WAIT YOU DONT UNDERSTAND I JUST SAVED HIM!!!"

POLICE 2"KNEES NOW!"

JADE-"OK! OK! DONT SHOOT PLEASE!!!"

I figured before Damien died he used his powers to alert the authorities. It made sense that I would look like a murderer, me holding a dead body and all, I couldnt tell them what happened because it would qualify as first degree murder. I was going to jail that night until something happened that changed the whole senario...

BANG! BANG! BANG!

JADE-"WHAT THE FRICK!"

Suddenly a h.e.l.lecopter came out of nowhere and dropped a ladder, I heard a megaphone say-

MEGAPHONE-"QUICK GET IN IF YOU DONT WANT TO GO TO JAIL!!!

JADE-"WHO ARE YOU AND WHY DID YOU KILL ALL OF THOSE POLICEMEN!?!?

MEGAPHONE-"WE WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU GET UP HERE, NOW HURRY!!!

I didnt have much of a choice, I climbed the ladder and as soon as I was a few rungs up the helecopter left-

MAN-"GRAB MY HAND!!!

I climbed high enough to grab his hand, he pulled me up.

MAN-"PUT ON THIS HEAD SET SO WE CAN TALK NORMALY!!!

JADE-"OK

I put on the headset and we had a conversation about who he was and why he picked me up.

MAN-"Im sure you have alot of questions about what just happened right?"

JADE-"Yeah, you shot those poor officers! why did you do that?"

MAN-"Ok hows about I be more formal we will start with that, hi im Taylor, Taylor Watts."

JADE-"Hi im Jade Desserre, so where are you taking me?"

TAYLOR-"Im taking you th the HAC."

JADE-"HAC?"

TAYLOR-"Human Anomalie Corperation."

JADE-"Whats that?"

TAYLOR-"A place where we take people with unique abilitys to help us learn about them and help them get along with one another."

JADE-"So you know about my 'Unique abilitys' I a.s.sume?"

TAYLOR-"Yes we have for quite some time now."

JADE-Am I an SCP?"

TAYLOR-"No we are more clasified than any 'SCP Foundation' out there."

JADE-"So will I ever get to see my family again?"

TAYLOR-"Not likley sorry."

JADE-"Il do this al long as you make sure my family is safe ok."

TAYLOR-"Deal, I just need you to sign some paperwork and were good ok?"

JADE-"Ok."

Jade went to the facility and they found the monsters inside of her, dead. they surgacly removed them even with their location, and burried them in the middle of the courtyard at the HAC. soon a tree grew above the grave and that tree was named the time tree...
