The Police Officers were barricading the hotel vicinity. Hostage Rescue Teams were on standby waiting for further orders, looking for an opportunity to enter the entrance of the hotel. Several members of the Swat Team can be seen at the top of the surrounding buildings waiting for a good chance to spot the hostage-takers, they were already putting their sniper rifles in place.
Jessy entered through one of the widows of the hotel room on the 5th floor, it's empty of human and looks unoccupied.
She exited the room. Then she heard noises, whimpering and crying in the hallway. She went to locate where the sounds were coming from.
She arrived at the end of the hallway that ended in a lounge area where few sofas were located and about fifty people were huddling together on the floor, three gunmen are wearing a black mask covering their entire heads, only their eyes, nose and mouth can be seen and holding a.s.sault rifles in their hands.
"Stop crying or I'll blow your heads off!" one of the masked men shouted at the crying woman hysterically in one corner.
Jessy waved her hand at everyone freezing them instantly.
She went down to the 4th floor. And she saw the same horrifying scenario repeated in there, another set of three masked men pointing their guns at the whimpering people huddled on the floor, their bodies trembling, scared to death.
Just like she did with the men upstairs, she waved her hand and freeze everyone she saw on the fourth floor.
On the third floor, there were no hostages, instead, Jessy saw two masked men getting grenades and several box-like objects with wires, looks like an improvised explosives device out from their knapsack that they were carrying on their backs, she quickly counts more than ten grenades.
"Throw these grenades to the police officers in front of the hotel and I will blow up the entire hotel with these bombs after you are done," one of the guys instructed his companion.
The guy nodded his head.
Jessy stood rooted on the spot, grinding her teeth in anger. 'What the f.u.c.k!? Are these crazy men going to blow up the whole building!?'
'd.a.m.n!'
The two men prepared their weapons, they were about to start moving...
But Jessy's right hand was quicker than their movements, she froze them on the spot.
She proceeds to the second floor, the hallway was empty, no activities in there. After making sure that no one is in the second floor, she rushed down to the ground floor and saw five wounded people groaning in pain, they have gunshot on their arms, legs, feet, stomach and it's hard to locate where are the other wounds, she was horrified to see blood spilled on the floor on their feet. In front, are two masked men brandishing their guns at the wounded people.
"b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" suddenly one of the wounded guys lunged at one of the masked guys, but Jessy was quick enough to freeze everyone including the armed men before they can even open fire at the wounded guy.
She inspected the entire first floor when there's nothing left to check, she teleported into the parking lot of the mall and landed inside the car. She looked at the surprised face of Oliver. "Are you ready? I'm done mobilizing the hostage-takers, it's now time to go inside the hotel," she informed him.
"Yes, I'm ready!" Oliver can only nod his head in fear and excitement.
Jessy wasted no time and grabbed Oliver's arm. "Close your eyes tightly and never open them until I say so!"
"Yes, Ma'am!" Oliver responded.
A few minutes later.
They landed on the ground floor.
Oliver began working, taking pictures of the frozen people lying in there.
After a few minutes, done on the first floor, he went upstairs and resume taking photos.
After relocating the frozen armed guy from the first floor into a vacant room, Jessy exited the building and hovered up in the air and looked below her. She spotted Capt. Mercado and Colonel Brown inside a car nearby.
She zoomed towards the car and landed in the backseat of the car taking the officers by surprise. "It's done, Sir. I already mobilized the gunmen and they're now frozen, send ambulance personnel on the ground floor, five men were wounded there," after hearing Jessy's voice the officers scrambled on their seats and exited the car.
Jessy went inside the building to unfreeze the wounded people on the ground floor.
Colonel Brown approached his good friend the Chief of the Police Team and whispered something on his ear. The Police Chief instructed his people waiting at the back of the hotel to enter the backdoor since it's already safe.
A few minutes later, one of the members of the Rescue Hostage Team appeared at the entrance of the hotel and called for the ambulance officers to come inside.
Fifteen minutes later, the five wounded victims were already loaded into the ambulance and taken to the hospital.
A thorough investigation began inside the hotel.
The 5th and 4th floor were already swarmed with officers.
On the 5th floor, a few officers gathered around the frozen people and the hostage-takers in awe.
"are they still alive?" the officers were asking the same thing over and over again wanting to poke the frozen gunmen with their fingers.
Capt. Mercado, Colonel Brown and Police Chief Jackson arrived at the scene.
"Okay, men. What you're gonna witness today is top secret. Don't ever reveal this thing to the outsider, understand!?" Chief Jackson barked.
The police officers answered in chorus. "Yes, Sir!"
"Okay, everyone faced the wall and closed your eyes!" Chief Jackson ordered.
The officers obeyed and closed their eyes.
Jessy took the a.s.sault rifle from the masked men and handed them to Oliver still in her invisible form. Oliver distances himself ten meters away from the scene.
Chief Jackson spoke again. "Okay men, turn around and ready the handcuffs because the hostage-taker and the people will be unfrozen any minute from now, calm down the frightened people. Two officers will tackle each of the hostage-takers and the rest will calm the hysterical people, then lead them slowly downstairs. The hostage-takers remained here, no one will take them downstairs, unless I give first the order, got it?"
"Yes, Sir!" the officers responded in unison and turned around.
"I will count starting from 1 up to 5!" Chief Jackson joined Capt. Mercado and Colonel Brown standing in the corner.
"Okay men, attention...1...2...3...4...5!" Chief Jackson finished counting.
Jessy unfreezes the frozen people.
The hostage-takers and the badly shaken and traumatized people come back to life again. There was a bit of commotion in the first few seconds as the criminals refused to be taken down, but everything was under control as the stunned masked men were being tackled into the ground face down and their hands were handcuffed behind their back.
It took several seconds before the terrified people finally understand what was happening in front of them.
"It's the Police!"
"We're safe!"
"Thank G.o.d...we're rescued!"
Shouts of joy vibrated in the hallway and huge relief washed over the faces of the hostages.
The three officers went down to the 4th floor and repeated the same process to the people there.
Oliver was busy taking pictures while the scene was unfolding in his eyes.
Done with the 4th floor. They come down to the 3rd floor.
Five officers tackled the two hostage-takers and handcuffed their hands behind their back.
"What the f.u.c.k is going on? We're caught!?" one of the masked men groaned in shock and disbelief.
"We're dead!" his companion responded.
They looked at each other in puzzlement and confusion, still bewildered by the whole sudden appearance of the law enforcer in their midst.
The captives were taken into the corner along with others and heavily guarded by the police officers.
