"Yes! Let's celebrate tomorrow. I plan to grill pork, chicken, fish, hot dog and marshmallow for tomorrow's picnic in the lake. We will have a bonfire while roasting meat beside the lake during the evening. We will start swimming in the afternoon until evening...how about that?" Jessy was grinning from ear to ear like a happy child.
"That's a super awesome, plan Jess! Let's do it!" he picked her up and twirled her around the room to Jessy's absolute delight.
A minute later.
They landed on the bed, entangled on each other's arms.
"When are you planning to buy the groceries for tomorrow's event?" he said.
"How about right now? I still have one hour and thirty minutes to spare before I go back to the clinic to resume blood transfusion," she said.
"Okay, let's go to the grocery store to buy everything," he suggested.
"That will be awesome. You have no work today?" she asked.
"I have two days off, so today and tomorrow I'm free to go with you anywhere you want us to go," he winked at her.
The lovebirds looked at each other's eyes full of love.
A moment later.
Adam rises from the bed. "I will inform Caden to ready the car so that we can go shopping," he said.
"Okey-dokey," she responded, the smile of happiness still lingers in her lips.
Adam exited the room and went to find his friend.
Caden was sipping his afternoon coffee on the terrace overlooking the pool, from time to time he likes watching bikini bods while sipping his hot coffee.
"Bro, after you are done with your coffee, please ready the car, we will go shopping for tomorrow's picnic in the mansion. We will buy lots of stuff in the store. This time Jessy's parents will come along with us to visit the mansion," he explained.
Caden's eyes illuminated. "Wow! We're going to the mansion tomorrow, I love that! I'm so excited, I can't wait! That place is like a paradise to me, and I miss Grandpa Waldo and Nana Aida's cooking. I'm looking forward to seeing them again," he chattered enthusiastically. "I will inform you guys after I'm done taking the car out of the parking lot, and checking the gas, brakes, and etcetera," he said.
"Okay," Adam went back to his bedroom to change into casual attire.
...
Fifteen minutes later.
Caden expertly navigated the car out of the condominium building, driving smoothly towards the nearest shopping mall nearby.
They arrived in the mall's parking area.
The trio entered the mall. Caden pushed the shopping cart while Adam and Jessy were having fun placing groceries in the cart. Caden picked up two packs of apple and oranges and then two bottles of peanut b.u.t.ter spread which was his all-time favorite spread. Then he also picked up three dozen of his favorite soda.
Next, they went to the wet section and Jessy took four whole chicken, three kilos of pork, two kilos of fish, one-kilo hot dog and marshmallow and placed them in the pushcart. Jessy picked up one pack of seasoning to marinate the meat to make it tender and tastier, then she added ten kilos of rice and other stuff necessary for the picnic.
They went to the household corner and bought a portable camping grill.
"Are we done?" Adam asked.
Jessy looked at their grocery. "Looks like we already have taken everything needed for tomorrow's event," she answered.
Caden cleared his throat. "Bro, why don't you bring Princess Abigail with us to visit the mansion?" he asked.
Adam and Jessy looked at each other.
"What do you think, Jess?" he looked at her.
Jessy smiled. "Brilliant suggestion, Caden! I'm sure Abigail will love to get out of the Facility and explore the outside world once in a while," she said.
She looked at Adam. "You have to come with me to the Facility so that you can personally ask for your mother's permission regarding our intention to bring Abigail with us to the mansion."
"No problem, after we got back to the condo I will go with you to the Facility to ask mother's permission," Adam responded.
"Now that's settled. Let's go to the cashier's section and pay for our grocery then we will find a good restaurant because I am starving," she grinned while ma.s.saging her tummy.
They went to the cashier's section and paid their purchases. They temporarily left their shopping bags in the baggage section of the grocery store and went to find a restaurant that can satisfy their hunger.
The trio found themselves inside a burger fast food restaurant for a quick bite of burger, french fries, and spicy fried chicken.
A few minutes later they returned home with a full stomach. Jessy and Adam left Caden alone to put all their purchases in the fridge while they teleported into the facility.
A minute later.
The couple landed inside Jessy's room in the Facility.
"I will go now to the clinic to resume blood transfusion," Jessy said.
"Okay, I will go to the study room to asked my mother's permission," Adam said.
The couple shared a wet kiss before they went their separate ways.
Adam teleported inside the study room.
"Son!" Queen Margaret quickly stood up and rushed to her son's side.
Adam hugged her mother while Princess Abigail was watching them with a smiling face.
"Nice to see you again, son. You should visit us here often," the queen said gazing fondly at her son's face.
"Don't worry Mom, soon I will be staying here in the Facility for a longer time. That will be coming soon," he said.
"Brother! Something tells me that you are here to bring me a piece of good news," Abigail said guessing wildly.
"You are right sister dear," he fondly messed up his sister's hair.
"Tell me what is it!?" Princess Abigail can't contain her excitement.
Adam shifted his attention to his mother. "Mom, I'm here to ask your permission. Jessy, her family and I will be going to the mansion tomorrow we will be having a picnic in the lake, I would like to bring my sister with me..."
Queen Margaret watched the expectant faces of her children for a few minutes.
"Mom, say yes please!" Princess Abigail begged with puppy dog eyes.
Queen Margaret finally relented and smiled at her children. "Very well, enjoy the picnic tomorrow!" she said.
Princess Abigail shrieked and hugged her mother in delight. "Yessss! Thank you so much, Mom!"
"Take care of your sister, Adam!" the queen reminded her son sternly.
"Of course, Mom, I will!" Adam replied quickly wanting to get rid of his mother's worries.
"Brother, what I'm going to bring with me to the picnic?" Princess Abigail latched to her older brother's arms, her face br.i.m.m.i.n.g with excitement.
"If you want to swim in the lake, bring some clothes for swimming," Adam replied. "If you don't have one, no problem, Jessy will provide you a swimming attire," he said.
Queen Margaret watched as her two children were busy discussing the picnic. Her mind wandered to her other son, Zain, that is until now remained stubborn in mind and heart. She was longing for the day that Zain will finally be able to join his siblings without anger and resentment in his heart. Would it happen one day? she asked in her mind.
Adam saw his mother's gloomy face. "What's wrong, Mom?" he asked worriedly. "Why are you wearing a sad expression on your face?"
Queen Margaret released a deep sigh. "It's nothing..."
"Please tell me, Mom? What is it that makes you sad?" he asked urgently.
Queen Margaret took a deep breath. "I'm just thinking of your older brother Zain. I wish one day he will get over his resentment and come back to us with a new outlook in life. I dunno if the day will come that we can finally enjoy his presence here with us every day," there was a wistful longing in her voice.
Adam sighed. "Don't worry, Mom. We will get my brother back from the dark. It will take some time, but definitely, it's on my mind, I will do something about it," he said.
Queen Margaret looked at her son's worried face. Deep in her heart, she knows that it looks impossible for her two sons to return to their normal sibling relationship because of Jessy. But being a mother she was still hoping Zain can learn to accept the fact that Jessy's heart does not belong to him. She can only hope and wish for a perfect solution for their dilemma one day. "Don't mind me, children, continue discussing the picnic," she said to her children.
Adam and Princess Abigail resumed their animated conversation.
