Jessy was done with her inquiries.
"Well...now that I have everything that I need. I will visit your parent's house tonight to see if your son is indeed in their care. You will hear news from me tomorrow, then I will bring you home the day after so that you will finally be reunited with your son, how about that?" Jessy said. She just wants to bring a smile to Olivia's gloomy face.
Olivia smiled brightly. "Thank you so much for everything, Jess!" she said, feeling a little bit hopeful inside.
"It's my pleasure to help you, Olivia. From now on stop worrying, I will take care of the rest. Trust me I will transform your life beyond your imagination," she said.
"Nah, please don't burden yourself with my problem, Jess. I'm very thankful that you let me cry on your shoulder, it's already a big help for me. I will forever remember it in my heart, thank you so much for being kind and not being judgmental of my true color, it means so much to me," Olivia said feeling grateful for this moment of absolute kindness that Jessy had given her.
Jessy asked, "So if you have money, what would you do? Do you have any interest, hobby or dreams you wish to fulfill in life?"
Olivia's face brightened up like a bulb. "I want to own a restaurant one day!" she blurted.
"Consider it done!" Jessy said with a thumbs up.
Olivia smiled at Jessy, realizing that this young woman has a talent that can uplift her mood.
"Okay, time is up! I have to leave now because I need to do something important outside. Bye-bye Olivia, see you tomorrow!"
"Bye, Jess! Thank you for visiting me here," Olivia said.
Jessy nods at the woman and exited the room. She sauntered towards the clinic to resume her duties.
~~~o0o~~~
The blood transfusion already ended fifteen minutes ago. It's still early in the evening. Jessy was readying herself inside her room, donning her black ensemble on her body.
A few minutes later, she's ready to go into the city to find the boy which is Olivia's son.
She teleported into the city and landed in a dark alley.
She can ride a taxi, give the address to the driver and just sit pretty and wait...or hovered above the city and find the address on her own. But riding a taxi is so much better, she can help some random taxi diver to earn some money tonight.
It's a taxi then.
Jessy flagged a taxi and instructed the driver to bring her to the address of Olivia's parents.
Twenty minutes later, she finally arrived in the area, the fare doesn't cost much but Jessy gives a one thousand dollar bill to the driver.
"Keep the change..." she said and got out of the vehicle.
"Thank you so much, Miss," the driver grinned from ear to ear while putting the money in his wallet.
Jessy walked towards the narrow alley leading to a neighborhood, she inspected the place for a few minutes...it's a slum area.
She saw a woman inside a grocery store. She asked the woman about the address in the paper that she was holding. The woman pointed to the last house on that street. Jessy murmured her thank you to the woman and bought a can of orange soda to quench her thirst.
She did not go straight to the house.
She spotted a dark corner, it has an abandoned house, she went to that direction and once she was already surrounded by the shadow of the darkness she transformed herself into her invisible form.
She hovered above the air and floated towards the last house on that street.
When she arrived in the house she noticed that it's indeed small, the smallest house in that neighborhood looks like it only has a 20 square meter floor area.
Jessy went through the closed door and entered the house.
In the tiny living room, she was greeted with the pitiful sight of a boy, both his feet chained to the doorpost in the corner. Although the boy was chained, the area surrounding him was clean, there was a bottle of water nearby and a few pieces of biscuit in a platter. He was facing a fifteen inches TV situated above a small wooden cabinet. He was watching a cartoon movie about several animals scattered everywhere, running scared s.h.i.t into the mountains due to a comet accidentally falls from the heavens above, the boy shrieked in horror and delight, wagging his hand in frenzy, watching with eyes wide open while the comet explodes into the ocean creating a tsunami and the water become as high as the mountains rapidly rushing after the animals.
Ah, this must be Olivia's son!
Indeed he is, because there was a photo of Olivia in the picture frame, below the TV. She was holding the boy in her arms and they were both smiling in the camera.
A teenage boy wearing a school uniform entered the house through the main door, he paused in front of the boy in a chain and took something from his school bag, his hand comes up with one apple, he put the apple in the platter and quietly entered the only room in the house.
The boy in the chain picked up the apple and took a big bite from it.
Hmm, looks like the boy was being cared well by Olivia's family, the only thing she can't understand is why the boy was being chained? Maybe because he is mentally ill and there is a risk of him getting out of the house undetected and he might get lost outside. If Olivia's siblings were schooling, and her parents were busy earning money for a living, then the boy will be left on his own alone in the house for the rest of the day.
The chain was meant to protect the child, not to harm him in any way, that was just her a.s.sumption.
Then Jessy saw the boy in chain peeing on his pants, some of his pee leaked into the wooden floor.
The boy in uniform exited the room already wearing his casual clothes. He noticed the pee on the floor, he went to the plastic cabinet beside the TV and took a pant and underwear from the drawer. He changed the boy's wet clothing, then he took the rug beneath the chair and wipe the pee on the floor, he brought the soiled pants at the back of the house, probably dumped it in the basin in the laundry area.
Good boy!
Jessy said and smiled to herself, appreciating the boy's care and affection for the poor mentally ill child.
The child although he was suffering a mental health problem, Olivia's family was doing their best to take care of the boy the best way they know how.
