She was brushing her hair in front of the mirror when all of a sudden the object of her affection materialized inside the room right into her bed.
"Wow! Perfect landing!" Adam grinned. He looked at Jessy with his hypnotizing eyes.
"Except that—I'm not there!" Jessy giggled, her eyes shined instantly when her gaze landed on his face.
Adam rises from the bed, smirking, he walked to her side and took the comb from her hand and he resumed combing her long black hair.
"Where is my beloved lady going?" he asked placing light kisses on her temple.
Jessy loves it when he was combing her hair. "I plan to visit you, but you come here instead," she turns around and wrapped her arms around her neck. It feels so good when their skin touched and the warmth of their body was colliding on each other's breath.
Adam encircled his hands around her waist and looked into her twinkling eyes. "I miss my girl so much, so I'm here to see her!" he said huskily and gazed at her adoringly.
"I miss you too!" she replied with a dazzling smile radiating from her lips.
Adam lifted her body and placed her in the bed, for several minutes they were lying in the bed enjoying the sweet presence of each other, they were not making out, just making light touching on their bodies here and there. Jessy would skim her fingers on his chest then he would caress her cheeks form time to time.
"Where are you when the major earthquake happens in the city?" she asked.
Adam looked at her. "Um...just doing some saving stuff with people trapped in collapsed buildings, nothing extravagant..."
"Hmm, so you must be the one responsible for those unexplained mysterious circ.u.mstances surrounding the victims when they found themselves waking up in a safe place after being trapped in the middle of the danger zone..."
Adam smiled at her. "So...you saw the news?"
"Yeah...I'm so proud of you! You're my hero!" Jessy giggled and showered his face with lots of feathery kisses.
"Nah, it's not even a big deal, I'm just helping people the best I can," he smiled and catches her lips and pushed his tongue inside her slippery mouth, they locked lips in a heated duel. He shifted on top of her and they engaged in heavenly torrid kissing which took their breath away.
A few moments later after the pa.s.sion has mellowed down a bit. They parted lips and stared at each other's eyes meaningfully.
"And how about you, my love? What keeps you busy noways while you are not doing any blood transfusion?" he asked, nibbling at the skin of her arms.
"Me? Well—I'm not doing any superhero stuff. I just brought the third rescued humans back to her family just yesterday," she explained.
"And—did it went well?"
"Um...all the reunion did not goes well in the beginning but later on I think things will return to normal after they will all get used to the truth that their family members had finally returned in their midst. Of course, they are happy with the reunion but it's not without a problem because the rescued humans have no recollection of what happened to them during their disappearance and it causes all kinds of trouble on both parties. But I don't want to bore you with the details," she tried to change the topic.
"Nah, try me, I'm a great listener," he said.
She looked at him, "Really? Do you want to listen to their stories? Some were awful...I mean all the three ladies...the reunion with their families and loved ones were a bit sad and heartbreaking to recount—"
"It's okay, let's start with the first woman that you brought home, what happens to her?"
Jessy remembered the nightmare that was about to happen to Virgie's family until now it chilled her to the bone every time she remembered about that horrific scenario. "Virgie and her entire family were about to be murdered by her ex-husband's mistress, so...so..." she halted on her speech because she will end up telling him that she killed two people just to save Virgie's entire family.
Adam raised an eyebrow. "And please continue—" he said when he noticed that Jessy was trying to hide something from him.
"I...I froze the mistress and her accomplice and brought them to the ocean and..." she looked away trying to evade his penetrating gaze.
He asked, "And you killed them—?"
She nodded her slowly. "I did...so that they won't be able to harm other people again," she explained her action.
Adam was silent for a minute or two, contemplating what to tell her.
Jessy noticed his silence. "Y-you condemned me for my harsh action?"
Adam shook his head. "Not really—some people are worth giving a second chance to continue their life, death is not always the answer, but some bad people deserved to die especially if they are about to commit a crime harming innocent people. It's either bad people will die or the innocent ones—so you have to take action immediately and deliver quick justice just to prevent horrific things from happening..." he said. "So tell me, how many innocent lives you save during that time?"
"Virgie, her parents, her ex-husband, and the two children," she answered.
"Wow! You saved six innocent lives from being annihilated on that night, and you put two people to eternal peace so that they will never have a chance to do any bad things again. In a way that you saved those criminals from executing their evil deeds in the last minute, in short, you saved them from being a murderer at the nick of time. As you can see, you prevented those two people from actually killing someone, I guess their souls were now regretting their evil intentions wherever they are now," he said.
She asked, "So—you're not condemning me for my actions?"
Adam shook his head. "Not at all. You did the right thing, Jess. In my case, if I am the one on your shoes, I will do the same. Two murderers wiped away from this world can make the earth a much safer place to live for innocent humans. Just my two cents worth of opinion," he said.
"Thank you," she kissed his chin lovingly, grateful for siding with her and for not seeing even an ounce of condemnation in his eyes. She must be careful in making decisions later on because she is an emotional type of person, her emotion might get the better of her. Punishing bad people is another thing, killing them is the end, it's something that she won't be able to undo, once life is taken away only G.o.d can bring it back. She must not be hasty and careless when it comes to a difficult decision especially when dealing with the life of any human being.
