"Good afternoon, Uncle!" Jessy greeted the captain with an energetic voice.
Captain Mercado accidentally dropped the pen that he was holding the moment the young woman's body suddenly materialized from the wall. "Jesus Christ! Next time used the door young lady!" he scolded her.
Jessy grinned. "Oops, sorry...Uncle. I will use the door next time," she apologized. "I'm here to bring you to the place where I hide the bomb launcher and the weapons."
"That's good! Let's go to the parking lot to take my car," the captain said about to stand up.
"No... no need...Uncle. I can take you there using my power of teleporting. It's more convenient that way because the ride towards that place takes more or less two hours and I don't have much time to spare. But before I take you there I need two things from you first..."
"What is it?" asked the captain.
"I need two pieces of anti-vampire vaccine injections," Jessy said.
The captain's eyebrows knitted together. "Why you need the anti-vampire vaccine?"
"I will try to test the vaccine into the newly converted mortals. I am afraid the government officials will inspect The Habitat and require everyone to be injected with the anti-vampire vaccine, I need to know the result beforehand so that I can plan well in advance," Jessy explained.
"Okay, no problem I can give you 5 anti-vampire vaccine kit if you want," said the captain. "Anything else?"
"I also need all the list of all the army officers...all higher officials above you...I only need the list of the officers who are directly involved in the anti-vampire operation."
Captain Mercado was frowning. "Huh? Why---?"
"You know already what am going to do, Uncle. But be thankful that you are no longer included in the list of the people I need to kill. Just keep your mouth shut and you will be fine," Jessy said.
Captain Mercado's face turned pale. "Do you intend to carry out your mission to kill the higher army officials involved in the anti-vampire operation?"
Jessy shrugged her shoulders. "I will kill them first before they can attack the Facility. If you are in my shoes I'm sure you would do the same if you had the opportunity, right?"
Captain Mercado was shaking his head vigorously.
Jessy shrugged her shoulders. "Fine. You won't give me their names and their offices? I can always do my research although it's a bit time-consuming in my part, then I will eventually get all the information I need in the end."
Captain Mercado opened the drawer in his table and picked up the folder where the ceased order from the general has been kept. He borrowed it from Colonel Brown just in case the crossbred won't believe his words. He handed it to the young woman.
"What is it?" Jessy asked frowning.
"Go ahead...open the folder and read what's inside," he said.
Jessy opened the folder and read the content of the piece of paper that she found inside.
"That is a direct order from the office of the General, the highest-ranking officer in the army. In that piece of paper, he ordered to stop all operations against the vampires in the Facility. You can now cast your worries away and live in peace along with your clan because the army will no longer pursue the Facility based on that ceased order," he explained.
Jessy re-read the piece of paper a dozen times, it's too good to be true! But she can't be jumping with joy right away. "Uncle, did you just make this paper on your own just to deter me from killing your seniors?" she said.
Captain Mercado breathed deeply. "Don't you dare accuse me of something...young lady!"
Jessy stared at the captain's face closely. "Uncle, do you really think that I will believe this piece of paper? To be honest, right now, I am thinking what exactly are your plans guys?"
The captain sighed. "We...on the lower ranks won't do anything unless the order comes directly from our superior. If the General ordered to stop all operations against the vampire then that's exactly what we are going to follow."
Jessy sighed, she didn't come here to argue with the captain. "Whatever...Uncle. But I warn you guys if you start attacking the Facility...I will start killing all military officials involved in the operation. So, hopefully, your seniors won't do something stupid," Jessy said in a serious face.
Captain Mercado stared at the crossbred. He was expecting that she will be happy with the news but it turns out she doesn't trust the order...she doesn't trust anyone. "Well...it's up to you. I'm just sharing with you the good news, too bad, you're still suspicious of everything."
He walked towards the cabinet and opened one of the drawers. He took out 5 anti-vampire vaccine kit and put them in transparent cellophane, he handed it to the crossbred.
Jessy accepted the cellophane. "Thank you for this, Uncle," Jessy said. "Let's go now to the place where I hide the weapons," she said.
"Wait..."
"What is it, Uncle?"
"You remember, Aston? That leader of the kidnapper group that you help captured for us? You still remember him---right?"
Jessy nods her head. "Yes, of course, I remember him, why?"
"There was trouble in his cell last night, according to the investigation he was attacked by his cellmates...then all of a sudden strange thing happened...one by one the men fell into the floor and died. Then they saw Aston's unconscious body being lifted into the bed without seeing anyone doing the lifting. I was just thinking if you know of anyone who can do that?" Captain Mercado eyed the young woman closely observing her reaction.
Jessy shrugged her shoulders. "Dunno... who else do you think can do something like that?" she tried to project an innocent face.
"Where have you been last night?"
Jessy laughed a little. "I'm sleeping soundly in my room in the Facility," she said. "Those cellmates of Aston...what are their crimes?" she asked curiously.
"One is a serial rapist...he had raped and murdered three women in one year. The second one is a pedophile who rapes, a.s.saults and kidnaps children for s.e.xual gratification...then the third one murdered his wife and two children and dumped their bodies in a muddy river two kilometers away from his home."
Jessy's eyes widened. "Really-? Oh...G.o.d! They are so bad! I don't mind killing them again!" then she went silent all of a sudden after realizing her blunder. "Oops..." she covered her mouth with her hands.
Captain Mercado knew it! His suspicion was finally confirmed! The crossbred got something to do with what happened last night in Aston's cell. "Why are you protecting that leader of the kidnap syndicate?"
Jessy sighed. "Alright...I just happened to drop by at his cell last night and saw what those men did to Aston, one of the men was holding a knife, I just save the poor guy," she confessed.
"But you don't have to kill those men!" Captain Mercado protested.
Jessy pouted.
"Why I can't kill them? They're killers and criminals...they already took innocent lives, they are not worth saving, they deserved to be punished! Those kinds of men have no conscience, they will kill again, I think the ma.s.ses won't complain of their deaths because those men committed heinous crimes. Let's just put it this way...it's less three mouths to feed in that prison facility it's less burden to the taxpayers pocket," Jessy winked at the captain.
