Chapter 821: Sparks Fly
B-2 aimed at me with the tranquilizer needle system as we were in the freight elevator.
What the h.e.l.l is going on, is it a robot uprising? Did B-2 get controlled by Skynet and it wants to fire the first shot at humanity?
B-2 already fired the first shot and it avoided my vitals and was aimed at my right thigh.
Since it didn’t want to take my life that means the program didn’t completely malfunction, but I was master number three so how could it suddenly attack me? It’s not the same as the time it attacked a homeless person on the streets!
At that time, it was ordered by master number one, Ai Mi, to go buy chips. Also, the homeless person wanted to destroy B-2 to sell it as sc.r.a.p metal, so in order for B-2 to protect itself and complete its orders, it had to tranquilize the homeless person. However, I didn’t attack B-2! I neither attacked B-2 nor did I threaten Ai Mi and Dr. Yu, so why did B-2 attack me?
As I performed rapid calculations in my head, I leaned my body to the left to try and dodge the anesthesia needle.
I was a step too slow.
The speed at which B-2 launched the anesthetic needle probably couldn’t be avoided by 90% of human beings. Last time, Xiao Qin relied on her own G.o.dly reflexes and a towel to intercept the anesthetic needle that was shot at me (whether Xiao Qin is considered a human being or not is still to be discussed).
The freight elevator, though s.p.a.cious and bigger than the study room of an average family, was too narrow to dodge projectiles.
Despite the fact that I was wearing a pair of rubber-soled sneakers with a good grip, I was still a step too slow.
The sharp needle pierced my jeans, then I tumbled back and hit the stainless steel interior wall of the freight elevator.
It didn’t go in all the way, but a trace amount of anesthetic had stained my jeans and common sense would have dictated that my neural sensitivity would have been reduced.
It turns out I was fine.
Since I ate the blue morpho, I became impervious to poisons. It didn’t matter if it was a.r.s.enic or sulfuric acid, it won’t hurt me in the slightest…
Actually, I was bulls.h.i.tting. Today, I had a little bit of diarrhea after I ate the cafeteria meal. The reason why I didn’t fall down after I was. .h.i.t by the needle was because the phone in my pocket acted as a shield.
Unfortunately, it was only a phone that had its screen reinforced by Dr. Yu. If it was Nokia, I wouldn’t even be afraid of B-2 anymore! I would directly pull out the Nokia and throw it at B-2 and blow it to ashes.
“Beep. The WiFi transmitting antenna has been turned off. Please don’t resist, or you will only have 10 minutes left to live…”
B-2 threatened expressionlessly in a flat tone.
“d.a.m.n robot, stop shooting at me.” I yelled inside the closed elevator, “I’m your third master, you can’t violate…”
Another needle flew over before I finished my sentence. This time I was prepared, it looked like I simply fell forward, but I was actually using the shortest path to avoid the needle.
“Bang.” The needle struck the top of the elevator and sparks flew from where the needle tip hit the stainless steel wall.
Dodging a needle at this distance was like dodging a rubber bullet shot by a riot police officer, but I shouldn’t have been able to do it like Xiao Qin.
But while you can’t possibly know where the riot police was aiming, I can roughly guess which part of my body B-2 was aiming at.
The attack on my right thigh earlier was blocked by the phone in my pocket, so this time it should switch to attacking my left thigh.
I was right.
When Dr. Yu gave me a checkup, he once talked about the basic behavioral pattern of B-2. It would always choose the “best option”, then the “second best option”, and so on.
Robots are robots, so they wouldn’t really make unexpected movements. Based on the fact it was avoiding my vitals and trying to render me unconscious, I guessed that it would aim at my left thigh the next time.
As expected, the next needle was shot swiftly towards me, who was kneeling on one knee and deliberately revealing my left thigh.
How can humans lose to robots? I’m not going to get hit by you for no reason.
I did a front somersault and avoided the needle while also moving next to B-2’s cylindrical body.
The needle shot out like an arrow and made another grating sound as it came into close contact with the inner wall of the elevator.
It only took a total of 45 seconds from when B-2 started its attack to the time I rolled to its side.
After many tests, I can suppress a heart attack for about 3 minutes while under heavy physical exercise, which means I had 135 seconds left.
B-2, however, only had one shot left. Its max limit was 4 shots, and it had just fired 3 shots.
“Beep. Please don’t resist, the elevator door has already been closed by B-2. If B-2 is damaged, the humans inside the elevator will die in 10 minutes due to the lack of access to WiFi…”
“f.u.c.k your WiFi.”
B-2 carefully and cautiously calculated where to aim for the last shot, but I wasn’t going to wait for it to compute a result. After I did the forward somersault, I jumped up from the ground and performed a powerful spinning body kick before I even landed.
It was my first real fight since I got heart problems. Because the blood of battle in my body had been suppressed for too long, I unknowingly used my full strength.
The movement to avoid the needle was inspired by Xiao Qin’s stance, and the roll on the ground was a flexible application of “Yin Yang Sanshou Insurance Scam”, and the final spinning kick was a bit like Auntie Ren’s flying bone breaking kick…
“Snap.”
B-2’s head, which was like an upside down frying pan, was kicked off and sent flying.
“Beep beep beep beep beep beep.”
B-2’s head was literally like a flying saucer in a low-budget sci-fi movie. It b.u.mped around three to four times on the walls of the elevator, then it spun around the floor like a spinning top before it finally came to a stop.
Both ears (the transmitting and receiving antennas) were unsurprisingly broken from the collision, but the head itself was not visibly deformed, so it was probably made of a different material.
“Hahahahaha, now you see.” I stood up and stabilized myself, and said smugly, “This is how powerful humans are. Was it beyond your calculations?”
Then I sternly question, “Explain yourself. Why did you attack me, were you hacked, did Zhuang Ni make you do it?”
Since Ai ShuQiao and I reached an agreement, the only one who had any motives to harm me would only be Zhuang Ni, but she doesn’t know programming…
The reason why I spoke to B-2’s fallen head was because it had a independent power supply in its head, so even if its head fell off, it was still able to talk.
The LEDs in its eyes were flickering intensely at the moment.
“Beep. The opponent’s threat value has increased, we must protect master number two. B-2 will not give up…”
“What, what’s the relationship between attacking me and protecting Dr. Yu? I think you probably short-circuited. Even if you don’t give up, you’re already in pieces now, so what else can you do to me…”
“Pop”. I suddenly felt a stabbing pain in my b.u.t.t. Before I felt the pain, I heard the familiar sound of a needle being fired.
B-2, screw you! I can’t believe you can still remotely control your body even when your head fell off! I was careless and turned my back to B-2’s headless body, and now there’s a needle in my b.u.t.t!
Before all the anesthesia was injected into me, I pulled out the needle with the fastest speed a human being can achieve and smashed the needle on the ground.
It was too late, I felt a strong feeling of drowsiness. I covered my head and crumpled to my knees on the felt floor of the elevator, I guess I’ll have to take a nap…
I don’t know how much time pa.s.sed, but I struggled to open my eyes while being illuminated by surgical lights. I found myself lying on a surgical bed, covered by a white sheet, while Dr. Yu announced to me with a smile:
“Congratulations, your s.e.x rea.s.signment surgery was a success…”
Success my a.s.s. I was so angry that I jumped off the operating bed and wanted to grab Dr. Yu’s head and ask him what happened.
But before that, I still felt my crotch to make sure that my little brother was still there. I only felt relief once I confirmed it was still there.
I looked around and I barely recognized that I was in the bas.e.m.e.nt of the VIP building. Compared to the last time when it was halfway through the renovations, the bas.e.m.e.nt had completely changed. It turned into a place that could serve as both a medical research lab and a mechanical engineering research lab.
Let’s take the surgical bed as an example. There were 6 robotic hands installed on the side of the bed which made it look kind of like an automobile production line. It gave people a very weird feeling as if the surgical bed wasn’t used to save people, but used to give people physical modifications.
The body and head of B-2 was placed on the engineering a.s.sembly table outside the gla.s.s door. Its power had been turned off as if it had entered a deep sleep.
“How long have I been unconscious.” I asked.
“Only fifteen minutes, you got the needle out just in time.”
“Why did B-2 attack me.”
“Because you’re an animal protectionist…”
“Huh?” I didn’t understand, “It’s a robot, so even if I like animals better, it doesn’t have to attack me. I know Obama peed on it, and I happened to partic.i.p.ate in a stop the cars to save the dogs event, but it doesn’t have to hate me that much and shoot a needle at me.”
“It has nothing to do with the dogs.” Dr. Yu waved his hand and said, “The cause this time was mice, do you still remember those white mice we used for the drug experiments.”
“I remember. It was the white mice we experimented on to make an antidote for me. I heard the death rate was quite high…”
“That’s right, as I expanded the scale of the experiment, the mice died one batch after another. When I commissioned 004 and the others to dispose of the mice corpses, it was seen by people from Qing Zi Academy, and then…”
“Then what happened.” I scratched my head, “Mice corpses aren’t the same as human corpses. Don’t tell me there’s a mouse-man in Qing Zi Academy who wants to avenge the mice and wants me to pay? Was hacking B-2 the first step of his plans?”
