Chapter 724: Uninvited Guest
After I received an invitation from the cla.s.s leader, I told my dad and said I was going out and would not be home for lunch.
My dad did not ask me where I was going, but told me that Auntie Ren was being discharged from the hospital today and he was going to see if he could help out.
Auntie Ren was a workaholic, so if it wasn’t for her father and brother stopping her, I bet she would have already been discharged and gone back to work.
Yesterday, I went to see Auntie Ren and Xiao Qin. Xiao Qin’s cold was better, but Auntie Ren was slightly infected, which made her irritable as she was anxious to be discharged from the hospital.
The depression from the miscarriage along with the code made her very irritable, so I trembled in front of Auntie Ren as she originally already had a bad temper. Not to mention the other day when I was doing summer homework with Xiao Qin, I had bad thoughts about her, so I naturally felt guilty in front of her mom and was unable to raise my head.
“Auntie Ren, you got into a car accident because I was running around blindly in the mountains. I even dragged Xiao Qin along to save me. Please do not worry, I promise it won’t happen again.”
Auntie Ren had a red nose because she just blew her nose. She was lying up in a 30-degree angle hospital bed with her eyes straight ahead ignoring me.
“Mom, just forgive Ye Lin cla.s.smate, he didn’t mean to~~~”
Xiao Qin grabbed Auntie Ren’s hand and pleaded for me.
“Auntie Ren, I’m sorry. When you are well, you can beat or scold me as you like.” I stood up and showed my sincerity to Auntie Ren.
Auntie Ren coldly glanced at me, “Treat my daughter better and don’t bully her, that would be enough for me.”
I couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat as I thought: fortunately I didn’t touch Xiao Qin’s b.u.t.t a few days ago, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to face Auntie Ren now.
Since I just went to see Auntie Ren yesterday, and Auntie Ren was indifferent towards me, I think my dad going alone today was enough. Gramps Ren and Uncle Ren HongDe will also be present, so it’s fine if I’m not there.
Then I arrived at the cla.s.s leader’s doorstep in casual attire and in high spirits.
The person who opened the door for me was not the cla.s.s leader but Gong CaiCai, probably because Gong CaiCai happened to be standing closer to the door when I knocked.
“Ye, Ye Lin is here.” After opening the door for me, Gong CaiCai shouted in a panic to the cla.s.s leader, who was in the kitchen.
Why does it sound like you’re screaming “wolf”! Are you a sheep in a pasture who immediately calls the hunter once you spot a wolf outside the fence?
The sound of frying coming from the kitchen was loud. The cla.s.s leader responded, but I couldn’t hear clearly.
I noticed that Gong CaiCai was not wearing contact lenses today.
She had severe myopia and her vision with the naked eye was very poor. Apparently, she couldn’t distinguish between genders beyond twenty meters, and a dog and a person is indistinguishable to her beyond 50 meters.
She had a pair of round-frame gla.s.ses on the bridge of her small nose, so she looks more in line with her ident.i.ty as the study committee member.
It’s probably because wearing contact lenses while learning to cook by the stove would dry out her eyes, so she temporarily switched to regular gla.s.ses.
Gong CaiCai was already short, but if you add the pair of gla.s.ses, she looks like an elementary school student if you only look at her face.
But if you look down and see her giant b.r.e.a.s.t.s that can’t be hidden no matter what clothes she wears, you’ll immediately dismiss the idea that she’s an elementary school student.
The so-called ‘childish face with huge b.r.e.a.s.t.s’ probably refers to her type. I feel evil using j.a.panese AV vocabulary to describe a female cla.s.smate.
However, because of the huge height difference between me and Gong CaiCai, if I talk to her and look down at her face, it is inevitable that I would look down Gong CaiCai’s collarbone and see her skin.
Her two mounds were not far below her collarbone. Compared to Xiao Qin, it was the difference between Mount Everest and a dirt mound.
As if she noticed my gaze, Gong CaiCai’s body shivered and she timidly stepped backwards, but she didn’t show a disgusted expression on her face like other women who were stared at by perverts, but more of a look of self-condemnation.
She seemed to be feeling that it was her own fault for having her b.r.e.a.s.t.s too big when she was being stared at by boys with unkind eyes. The big bow-knot she tied on the chest of her dress today was probably intended to cover up her exaggerated b.r.e.a.s.t.s, but it didn’t work well and made her b.r.e.a.s.t.s stand out even more.
“You’re here early.” In order to eliminate the awkwardness, I chatted with Gong CaiCai, “Why are you wearing gla.s.ses today, are your eyes inflamed again?”
The last time I saw Gong CaiCai in line outside the Happy Science Seminar, she was temporarily wearing gla.s.ses due to a corneal infection.
“No, no.” Gong CaiCai subconsciously put her hands between her legs and pinched her skirt uneasily, “I heard that it’s dangerous to wear contact lenses near the stove. Loud Mouth told me that a boy in Malaysia melted his contact lenses during a barbecue and burned his cornea.”
Gong CaiCai’s voice trembled as if she had witnessed the tragedy herself. The sh.e.l.l hairpin in her hair, as well as the lace on her collar and the cuffs of her dress, all trembled together.
“I, I’m so short and not very smart, if my contact lens melts and I turn blind, then…”
She looked at me as if she wanted to add something, then she finally shifted her gaze to the side and whispered, “Then it would be even more difficult to get married and it would cause trouble to mom and dad…”
Hey, one of the reasons you wanted to say about why you can’t get married was because I touched your b.r.e.a.s.t.s in front of everyone at the barbecue at the top of Cui Song Mountain, right?
Don’t tell me the reason why you confessed to the cla.s.s leader on Qixi was because you thought she was tolerant and would not care that I had touched your b.r.e.a.s.t.s, so it was possible she would marry you.
Please don’t force yourself to become a lesbian because of one of my mistakes. If I really caused you a lot of harm, then you can scold me or hit me. It’s depressing if you keep blaming yourself for everything. It’s kind of like the Happy Science theory, you have a natural born character that attract others to bully you.
At this time, the cla.s.s leader came out of the kitchen wearing an ap.r.o.n to talk to us.
A spotless white shirt and blue jeans was behind the ap.r.o.n, which was something the cla.s.s leader often wears at home.
It was obviously a tied ap.r.o.n, but because of the cla.s.s leader’s tall body and serious temperament, she looks like a senior officer who’s temporarily cooking to show off their skills.
“Cai Cai, what are you talking about, the rumor that contact lenses will burn your cornea is not based on fact.”
The cla.s.s leader only nodded to me and seeing that I was in high spirits unlike a patient, a momentary expression of tenderness appeared on her face, then she immediately turned serious again.
“The polymer material of contact lenses is more heat-resistant than human skin and it can handle temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius. Unless you stick your head right over the stove, it’s impossible for your contact lenses to heat up and make you blind.”
“But, but in case I can’t see…” the nearsighted Gong CaiCai was always worried about her vision declining even more.
“Of course it’s bad if you can’t see, but it has nothing to do with whether you get married or not.” The cla.s.s leader placed her hands on her waist. She was obviously talking to Gong CaiCai, but she looked at me, “If they really care about you, regardless if you can see or not, it will not affect their choice.”
Gong CaiCai nodded as if she understood, but she obviously still had a lack of confidence. Because I had touched her b.r.e.a.s.t.s in public she was still worried that her future boyfriend would dislike her.
After I changed into slippers and walked indoors, I saw all kinds of colorful ingredients that couldn’t fit in the kitchen, so it was placed on the round table in the living room.
I took a closer look, the vast majority were greens, radishes, potatoes, and eggplants, with vegetables accounting for more than 90%.
“I know you like to eat meat.” The cla.s.s leader explained from behind, “So I made a serving of potatoes and beef for you, but Cai Cai is mostly vegetarian and rarely eats meat, so there’s no way I could ask her to personally cut the meat of animals…”
I could imagine when Gong CaiCai sees the raw beef taken out of the refrigerator, she immediately a.s.sociates it with when it alive, its leisurely look in the pasture, so there’s no way she could cut it.
So today’s situation was special, not only were all the dishes served on drop-proof imitation porcelain plates brought by Gong CaiCai, but 90% of the dishes are vegetarian, so a carnivore like me inevitably felt a little disappointed.
But the cla.s.s leader at least personally made a serving of potato with beef because Gong CaiCai couldn’t cut meat, so that means the dish is completely made by the cla.s.s leader. It means I didn’t come today for nothing.
“I’m mainly teaching Cai Cai to cook today, so I’ll spend a bit more time in the kitchen.” The cla.s.s leader instructed me, “You can sit in the living room and watch TV. Once we finish cooking, you can come taste them.”
I nodded and as I was just about to sit down on the sofa, the cla.s.s leader came close to me again and whispered next to my ear, “Even if Cai Cai’s cooking is not that good, try to eat more, praise her a few times and give her some confidence, okay.”
“No problem, as long as it’s not a weird dish like the kind Winnie makes…”
“Even if it’s that kind of dish, you still have to eat.” The cla.s.s leader said seriously, “You touched Cai Cai’s b.r.e.a.s.t.s at Cui Song Mountain, I… me and Cai Cai still haven’t done anything yet. I think tasting her dishes as an apology is the least you can do.”
I could only nod and hope that Gong CaiCai will be merciful and not actually make those awful dishes. I hope that the rumors about Gong CaiCai’s cooking being at a home cook’s level was not fake.
However, I was sitting on the sofa, waiting for the food to be ready and looking for the TV remote control, when a knock came from the door.
The cla.s.s leader opened the door herself in confusion, only to find that the person who appeared at the door was the uninvited Zhuang Ni who was clad in black.
