Lucky Unluckiest 18 Chapter Eighteen

I don't know what's wrong with this world, this fate. The more I try to avoid her, the more she keeps finding her way back to me.

She keeps meddling in my business, I promised myself not to let anyone in but she keeps bursting her way in. she makes me see this world differently than I know. She makes me want to trust people, to trust her. She makes me a little more confident about who I am. She makes me want to open myself in front of her but the most dominant thing, she makes me sympathetic. No matter how hard I try to keep my mind off her, my mind keeps finding her way back to her. What should I do? This isn't what I want. I shouldn't be trusting people so easily based on my experience. What if she turns out to be like everyone from my past? But what if she doesn't?

I sighed heavily and made my way to the library. It's so unfortunate for them to meet someone like me. Once I was there, I made my way to the usual spot.

Everyone was seated there and there was an empty seat between Emma and Sophia, maybe because of me.

"He's here." Jacob waved his hand.

I forced a smile.

"Hey, I am sorry for being late." I said as soon as I sat down.

"It's alright. Let's get started now." Sophia said smiling at me.

Okayyy... she's sitting right beside me. Also so close to me.

I think I should move a little away from her.

I moved my chair away from Sophia and when I turned to my left side Emma was smiling at me and so near I got startled and set my seat where it was before avoiding eye contact with Sophia. Clearing my throat I asked them to continue the work.

The fact that she was right beside me was revolving around my head and I couldn't think straight. Why the h.e.l.l is that happening to me? Why!?

What the h.e.l.l is wrong with me!? Why can't I think straight when I am with her!? I can't even act straight around her.

I tried to control myself, I tried to act like a normal person but she kept talking to me, asking me for advises and I couldn't take it anymore. I suddenly stoop up from my chair and everyone looked at me.

"What's wrong Logan?" Jacob asked.

I looked at everyone and everyone was looking at me

"Wh-w-why don't we go out in the garden and g-get some fresh air, it's very suffocating here. We'll borrow the books. Lets continue there." I patted by chest indicating them that it is suffocating here. "I kind of agree with Logan, I think we should do our work there." Sophia looked up to me and I faked a smile.

"Well if you people say so." Emma said getting up. Everyone collected the books and made our way outside.

Okayy.. This is all because of me.

When we got out of the library Noah and Emma told us that they'll grab us something to drink and went the opposite direction. So it was only me, Jacob and Sophia. Please Jacob, don't leave me alone.

We three made our way to the garden and searched for a nice, relaxing place to sit. "Hey, let's sit there." Jacob said pointing under a tree. "Great!" Sophia smiled at him.

We settled down and I saw a daisy beside me and I couldn't help but smiling at it. It's Sophia's favorite flower and it is so much like her. She is so simple, so alluring, blooming so prettily and so beautiful. I've never paid attention to flowers because I don't really find them attractive but watching this daisy is making me realize there is so much beauty in life that I've failed to notice. Daisy is one of them.

Logan, I don't think you're one of those people who likes flower, are you? Don't get too distracted. I told myself.

"Logan?" Jacob looked at me making a weird face and boom! I was back in reality.

"Hmm" I raised my eyebrows removing my gaze from the daisy and to them. I think Sophia didn't notice the flower or else she'd just pick it up and adore it.

Sophia opened the textbooks and starting writing something in her notebook, probably about the project, Jacob joined her.

And then I joined them too.

SOPHIA

Oh G.o.d. I am not sure whether Logan noticed it or not but I saw a daisy lying beside him but if he would have noticed, he would give it to me. I guess. But I'll not acknowledge it since I don't want to disturb them and so I'll act like I never saw one. How Sad.

It's better if I focus on work rather than my childish interests but oh G.o.d I can't help it. Jacob keeps discussing things which are really going over my head since I am distracted by this beautiful daisy lying on the ground. This daisy can show people and teach humans so many things which most them fails to notice, Can't they? I mean just have a look at it. It's so simple, so pretty, so elegant and so beautiful. It's been broken (plucked) but still it's beautiful and hasn't lost its elegance. It really does remind me of so many things like love, like beauty, joy, innocence and purity. I think it's the perfect way to brighten someone's day. Especially my day.

"What do you think about that, Sophia?" Jacob brought me back to reality.

"Hmm?" What do you mean?" I asked since I had no idea what was going on.

"I was thinking about distributing work among us so we could get done more swiftly." He repeated his words and then moved his gaze to Logan.

I caught Logan staring at me and the moment he realized, he quickly looked away. He looked away from me to somewhere else and I could see his perfectly defined jaw line. I moved my gaze from him and to Jacob.

"Right." I said nodding.
