I just have irregular working hours, why do you guys think that I'm engaging with some sort of unspeakable line of work.
I'm a private detective, my boyfriend is a lawyer.
My income has always been pretty unstable. The jobs I take depend on the person's character, and other than some conventional investigations of people, you wouldn't be able to imagine what other jobs I take.
I even think that some of my clients have burnished their brain cortexes before.
Let me give you an example.
I was once tasked to find a suspect, and for a week I was worn out to the point of not showering or returning home once. In the end, my client told me he had just lost the inspiration to write his novel, the case was all made up by him.
f.u.c.king h.e.l.l.
But he paid up, and those who pay are G.o.d.
The money my boyfriend takes in is much more stable in comparison. He's already pa.s.sed the hardest part in the beginning, but still wears himself out at work. I met his friend before this, who told me about it, and I still don't understand either why he takes so many cases, since we'll have enough and to spare if we add up the money the two of us earn.
If we all work ourselves to death in the morning, how will we be able to do something pa.s.sionate to save our numb souls at night?
I really don't understand how nothing has happened even when we've been living together for a year.
