Last year, while Mr. F was in j.a.pan on a business trip, I saw a post on the internet, “How do woman use texts to tease their boyfriend?”
Many of the answers caused me to burst out laughing.
Coincidentally on that day, I have changed my phone number, in pa.s.sing I sent him an anonymous text, “Boss, do you need any special services?”
Then I sent another text again, “s.e.xy kitten, hot and pa.s.sionate, deliver straight to your doorsteps, guarantee your satisfaction. “
A while late, he replied. “Are you very bored at home?”
I was surprised and sent back. “How did you know it was me?”
He answered, “Only you would do such pointless thing.”
After thinking a while, he sent, “I will be back the day after tomorrow.”
“So fast, weren’t you supposed to be back next week?”
“There is a change in schedule.”
Not long after, his colleagues came to our house to eat dinner. The conversation eventually shifted to their recent j.a.pan trip. One of his colleagues said, “Mr. F didn’t even partic.i.p.ate in the celebration. After the deal is done, he went to the airport straight saying that there is no one at home to take care of his kitten.”
The colleague looked around the house and asked curiously, “Where is your kitten?”
My face went red immediately. Mr. F then used his chopstick and pick up a piece of braised fish and placed it in my bowl and replied calmly, “It is rather timid and gets shy around strangers.”
I wanted to bury my face in the bowl.
