I Am Doppelganger Chapter 31

The sound of a large explosion was heard throughout the battlefield.

“What’s that sound?!” (Racco)

General Racco was surprised to hear a very loud explosion, a soldier reporting.

“The source of that sound is from the enemy’s headquarters, it looks like a big explosion.”

“Immediately investigate the cause of the explosion!” (Racco)

“Alright!”

Not long after, a soldier came and gave a report.

“The headquarters of the enemy is destroyed, there is no remnant of life. Master Owen’s army also disappeared…”

“Master Owen’s army disappeared ?!” (Racco)

“Yeah, there’s no trace of them.”

“Send troops to find them!” (Racco)

“Alright!”

The soldier left.

The explosion just seemed to have destroyed all the enemy headquarters, but what happened?

Master Owen’s troops also disappeared, where are they?

General Racco was confused by what had happened.

Suddenly.

“General Racco! There is an attack from the enemy!”

Dust from the explosion caused by Sarya began to fade.

Nothing left, just a fire burning everywhere.

But, there was one person alive, he lied while enduring the pain on the ground.

“Ugh… I did not think a Demon General would be that strong, she is a monster!”

That man was Owen, he has used his best way to withstand the explosion from Sarya, but now his body was full of wounds, it was difficult to move, his breathing was very heavy and the air around him was very hot.

Owen saw what had happened around him, nothing was left.

He was lucky because the equipment he used was of high quality and his body was strong enough to withstand the impact of the explosion, Owen thought so.

“No one survived, it seems that I’m the only one alive here. I have to get back to headquarters to report the incident. At least, we managed to defeat a Demon General even though it looks like she just committed suicide.” (Owen)

But suddenly he heard a which made him feel cold down his spine.

It was a familiar voice, the voice of the enemy who had detonated herself.

“Yo-you are still alive?!” (Owen)

The fire that surrounded Owen gathered to one spot in front of Owen and united into a solid form.

The fire formed a fiery ball, like an egg.

The eggs hatched.

A bright light came from the egg, the light from the burning fire.

A red-haired woman with a dazzling black skin emerged from the egg.

The woman stepped her feet to the ground, her body covered in fire.

The woman spoke.

The Demon General Sarya.

“You think I’m going to kill myself just to fight a human like you?” (Sarya)

Seeing the enemy who had blasted herself appeared without being injured at all, Owen was very surprised, his face became pale.

“Yo-you! How could you survive? You just blew yourself!” (Owen)

Owen was very tired, he shouted as he forced himself.

If Sarya attacked Owen now, it was ascertained that he would die instantly.

“Hehe, I’ll tell you something as a reward for surviving that explosion before your death. I am Phoenixman, we Phoenixman are immortal, we will not die as long as there is a fire burning around us.” (Sarya)

“Phoenixman?!” (Owen)

“Well maybe this is the first time you heard of our race because we are direct descendants of the Phoenix, we are a rare race.” (Sarya)

“Ugh, so this is the end of my life…” (Owen)

“Be thankful, I will let you die without pain. I will get rid of you in a moment.” (Sarya)

“I was too rash, I underestimated you so much. It made me suffer such a terrible defeat.” (Owen)

Sarya directed her hand towards Owen, preparing to activate a Skill to kill Owen.

But.

“Wait!”

Suddenly someone’s voice stopped her from behind.

Sarya turned her eyes back, toward the sound.

She saw a young redhead.

“Oh you are the Doppelganger brought by Lord Yaura, what is it?” (Sarya)

Sarya asked Ren for his reason for stopping her attack.

Ren Teleported towards the explosion he saw, Ren just wanted to make sure what happened.

When he came, what he sees beyond expectations.

The damage occurring in the surrounding area was much worse than the damage he produced by his ‘Fiery Thunder’.

The area of several kilometers of charred remains, which he saw today just like a flat ground plain, also there was Guild Master Owen and Demon General Sarya.

“I need that person, can you hand him over to me?” (Ren)

“I only received orders from Lord Yaura.” (Sarya)

Ren asked Sarya to hand over Owen but refused to.

Ren shouted.

“Lord Yaura, can I take that person?!” (Ren)

Ren knows that all the battlefields were being seen by Demon Lord Yaura and her Generals, so just by shouting, his words can be heard by them.

Moments after Ren screamed, Demon Lord Yaura contacted Sarya and ordered to give Owen to Ren.

“Huh, if it is Lord Yaura’s command then I will give you this man.” (Sarya)

“Thank you.” (Ren)

“Then I will go first, we will start the attack now.” (Sarya)

“All right, see you.” (Ren)

Ren waved at Sarya, then Sarya disappeared.

Sarya Teleported to the place where they will attack.

Owen was confused by what was happening in front of him, there was someone who emerged and can drive away a Demon General.

Ren stared at Owen.

“I have two choices for you.” (Ren)
