A blue pill directly appears in my palm. Without further ado, I swiftly swallow it dry, pushing it at the back of my throat and I wait.

"Zero Three, the pill is not working." I grumble after waiting for almost half an hour.

While our soul-changed Consort is still rolling in pain inside his system s.p.a.ce, his outer body is being treated by the royal physician, the same one that was called to treat him before.

He is sweating, with frowns on his forehead, as he apply acupuncture on the pale ger's body. The Consort's husband, the Prince and his maid is waiting silently, with worries streak on their face, waiting for the physician to finish.

"Xu Tao, go and concoct this mixture. Go now."

The physician's a.s.sistant was out in seconds after getting his command. The physician turn his attention towards the maid and started his question.

"He was supposed to be okay, how can more poison get into his system? This time it reacts badly with the medicine that I have prescribed."

The Prince was visibly shock and turn toward the maid, the shadow guard in disguise. The maid throw out a confused look.

"Master Xu, I have personally prepare his breakfast and medicine. Here, the bowls from his breakfast are still here on the table. Please check."

The physician pull out a bag of small silver b.a.l.l.s for his robe and approach the table, with the Prince and the maid in tow. He pour a small amount of tea in the soy milk bowl, the yutiao plate and the congee bowl, even the bowl of medicine, swirling it around before dropping a few silver b.a.l.l.s in each of them. There are no reaction on the b.a.l.l.s, making the maid let out her breath.

However, the physician notice the spoon on the side and proceed to check it like he had with the bowls. The silver b.a.l.l.s finally give a reaction. Its colour had changed slightly, indicating that the poison exist, on the spoon, the one that the Consort had used for breakfast.

"How can that be?"

"The proof is here! You still want to deny it? Insolent maid!"

The maid gasp in surprise as she heard the physician's words and directly kneel in front of her master.

"Your Highness, this is not my doings. I hope you can shed light on this."

The physician threw a dirty look towards the maid. He was thinking that if this maid is able to poison her own master, there is no use for her to be kept alive.

The Prince give out a faraway look, before he turn his attention toward the physician.

"Master Xu, this morning, this Prince share the same spoon with My Consort. We eat from the same bowl, using the same spoon. As you can see, this Prince is in great health. Plus, why only on the spoon the poison makes its appearance and not on the bowl itself?"

Master Xu was dumbfounded with this and turn back towards the table again. He observe the table once more, asking himself the very same question that the Prince have asked before, but failed in getting answers.

While thinking, he spy with his eyes, a food tray that is covered with a pink food cover, located on the side table. He approach the table and open up the cover.

"What's this?"

The maid look up and follow the physician's eyes. Her gaze land on the tray that she set aside from this morning.

"That is bird nest porridge that was sent by Concubine Ning."

The Prince's gaze slightly change.

"Did My Consort eat it?"

"No, Your Highness. I prevent him from eating eat. But, he did say that he wish to taste it, as he never eaten it before."

"Your Highness!"

The Prince and the maid turn there attention toward the physician, as he gasp in surprise.

"The poison is in this bowl! Look! Even the dose is much higher!"

I instantly open up my eyes, upon sensing that the pain have dispersed from my body. I have no idea how long I've been out. I tried to sit up, but something prevent me from doing so.

An arm.

An arm on my chest, snaking it's way to my waist and pulling me. I turn my head to my right, and I saw him.

The Prince.

Sleeping next to me.

"Zero Three, what have happen when I was out?"

My system proceed to tell me everything, including how they found the trace of poison inside the bowl of bird nest congee.

"The Prince has apprehend Concubine Ning. Now, she and her maid is being detain inside the house prison. The Prince tries to keep this at bay but somebody from the concubine side will leak it to her family. You have to be careful, host. They might send someone to attack you again."

"Hmm, thank you for your reminder. But, what is this man doing here?"

"The Prince was worried about you, host. After the doctor treat you, the Prince personally feed you your medicine."

I lightly ghost trace the facial features of the man by my side. This is my first time come in such close contact with anyone. Who would have known, that I have the luck to be in a relationship with someone as handsome as this. Or at least, Jae Hee is.

Sigh, am I lucky to be dead and to be sent here? I'm here for a purpose, to complete my mission. and my mission is to save you, my prince.

Getting angry with such thought, I use my remaining strength to push his arm away and sit up. He sleeps on my right, blocking my exit as I'm now at the inner side of the bed.

As I was thinking on how to get down from bed, my act of pushing him has startled him awake. I failed to notice his light smile until he sit up and faces me.

"My dear, you're awake? How are you feeling? Is your body feeling okay?"

He gently ask me, while brushing my hair with his large hand. I keep my gaze on him, slowly drowning in the depth of his eyes. I can feel my heart jumping around in my rib cage, as he hold his gaze, waiting patiently for my answer.
