“The exterior is acceptable. As for the tolerance, please verify it again to confirm that the calculations are correct.”

The man had a handsome face. His elbows were propped against the conference table and his fingertips rubbed at the bridge of his nose. He had been working for three days and nights because of this “swan neck” project.

Ji Liao was twenty-eight years old. Thanks to his real estate design of a “small couple’s house” the year before, he had become the dark horse within the circle and was currently the project manager of GM Architectural Design Inst.i.tute.

Doing architectural design was very tedious. Both aesthetics and mechanics needed to be taken into account. Calculations needed to be made over and over again for safety considerations.

Halfway through the meeting, the phone on the table vibrated.

Ji Liao glanced at the caller ID and his expression immediately became scared. He walked outside pa.s.sively and picked it up. Before he could say anything, the man on the other end said, bristling, “I go on a business trip for three days and you don’t go home for three days? Baby, are you forcing me to buy over GM?!”

He Cheng Ming had gone to City H to partic.i.p.ate in an economics conference. He had just returned and missed his wife so much that he rushed home immediately. In the end, he saw the slippers placed at their home entrance exactly as it was when he left and knew that Ji Liao had not returned these three days!

He was so angry. A lousy inst.i.tute had made his wife work overtime for three days!

Ji Liao’s tone was laced with helplessness. “I’m working.”

In the past, because Ji Qing Wen had chosen liberal arts, it led to him being unable to study architectural design-related majors. So he took another route and studied urban planning, then embarked on the road of “construction” after graduating.

Generally speaking, there were some twists and turns. So, Ji Liao cherished the opportunity and spared no effort on the project.

However, his seme was very clingy and normally didn’t allow him to work overtime. Finally, there was a rare business trip and Ji Liao boldly worked through the night. “A job with no day and night? Baby, if you don’t come back tonight, I’ll make He the surname of GM tomorrow!” The man threatened sullenly.

Ji Liao was amused by his “trashy big money” talk but based on his character, he might really buy over GM if he was forced into by worry.

“I know. I will get off work on time today.”

As long as the project design was finalised, the follow-up would be much simpler.

He Cheng Ming glanced at his watch. It was only three in the afternoon. He was a little regretful that he had not given an earlier time. If he knew, he would have asked Ji Liao to take leave and come back.

After He Cheng Ming changed his footwear and entered, he went to the bathroom to wash his face. This bulls.h.i.t conference had more time-wasting than business and there was one c.o.c.ktail gathering after another. He had enough of dealing with it for three days and even forgot to call Ji Liao. This was the fluke that allowed him to work overtime for three days.

The two of them had been living in their current duplex apartment for nearly six years. He Cheng Ming just had to inhale gently to be able to smell the scent of Ji Liao in the air. Fragrant with a little sweetness — a lychee-flavoured sweetness.

He chuckled and went into the study room. After dealing with business for a while, He Cheng Ming was a little restless. He drove directly to GM to pick him up from work.

When he arrived at GM, it was right around knock off time. When the young lady at the reception saw him, she covered her mouth and smiled. The GM employees had long ago figured out the relationship between the two of them, so He Cheng Ming walked unimpeded until he reached Ji Liao’s office.

He raised his hand and knocked. A gentle voice came from inside. “Come in.”

He Cheng Ming went in and dropped the lock into place. Hearing the click, Ji Liao looked up and surprise showed on his face. “Why are you here?!” His bottom had just left the chair and in the next second, he was carried onto the desk by He Cheng Ming.

Ji Liao’s desk was clean and tidy and was more than enough for someone to sit on it.

He Cheng Ming’s large hands wrapped around his waist, his eyes angry and yet wanting. He complained, “I went on a three-day business trip and not once did you call me. Baby, you don’t miss me?!”

Ji Liao looked away guiltily. He worked overtime all night. How would he dare to call him!

“I miss you.”

To get on his good side, Ji Liao lifted his chin and his thin lips were immediately engulfed by He Cheng Ming. The self-restrained appearance of his wife in shirt and pants stirred him up so much that he couldn’t walk.

He Cheng Ming was a little aroused. Separating Ji Liao’s knees, he squeezed his body between his legs to be in close contact with the other man.

“Oh, enough… enough.”

After all, it was the office. There was a one-way gla.s.s wall on the right. Although colleagues outside couldn’t see what they were doing, Ji Liao himself could clearly penetrate that field of vision and the feeling of being in public produced a feeling of shame.

“We haven’t done it in your office before, baby.” He Cheng Ming said softly and bewitchingly into his ear.

Ji Liao’s neck was scalding red and he glared at him. “What nonsense are you saying! Absolutely not.” Although they had played in the other man’s office before, it was an accident!

“Lao Gong, I’m finished with work and very tired. Shall we head home first?” Both of Ji Liao’s hands were hanging onto He Cheng Ming’s neck while he spoke coyly in a soft voice.

You could never imagine a beloved, innocent-looking man in shirt and pants behaving coyly towards you! The lethality of it was huge and He Cheng Ming felt his lower abdomen tightening. He immediately withdrew and stepped three metres away from the little devil.

“I’ll go out and wait for you.”

Looking at the escaping man’s back, Ji Liao’s lips held in a smile while his eyes looked towards the computer screen. After some simple work, he took his blazer, hung it over the crook of his arm and left.

He Cheng Ming was holding a bottle of mineral in his hand when he saw Ji Liao coming out. He lifted his head and drank two mouthfuls.

“Let’s go.” Ji Liao called out to him.

He Cheng Ming put his arms around his stylish wife and stepped into the elevator, pinching his bottom with dissatisfaction. “Did you deliberately provoke me earlier? Eh?” It caused him to almost raise his flag.

Thinking about this, He Cheng Ming couldn’t help laughing. The two of them had been together for ten years but once the other man teased him, he was like a young boy again, with an exuberant s.e.xual response and zero self-control.

Ji Liao yawned tiredly and turned to look at him with confusion in his eyes. “What?”

When he was mentally stressed, he didn’t feel very tired. Now that he was out of the office and with an intimate lover, Ji Liao’s body relaxed. His mind was a little fuddled, revealing his soft and confused state.

Nothing else mattered at that moment. He Cheng Ming kissed his face with heartache and said gently, “Nothing. You’ve been working hard, baby.”

Ji Liao smiled and his heart warmed. He loved this about He Cheng Ming, respecting and caring for him in everything.
