My name is Imada Hisashi. By the way, I am 17 years old.

I am just a normal, plain student living in Tokyo.

There are millions like me out there...

As for why I'm currently having a conversation with a person that claims to be G.o.d, I am as clueless as you are, trust me.

Now that I think about it, I might be a little more special than I thought.

As if reading my mind, 'Kami-sama' answered my question in great detail.

"I am very sorry Imadkun, please accept my apologies... Your soul was one of the ones I was a.s.signed to survey, but due to my negligence and avoiding of certain tasks... I am sorry to say that you have died."

Ignoring the Manga books and bags of chips that were spread across the white floor, I inquired about my cause of death.

Seeing me notice all of the junk, G.o.d put on a worried face and snapped his fingers, making the floor tidy in an instant before letting out a sigh.

"You... Let's just say you died in an unfortunate accident..." He answered my question thus and avoided eye-contact with me while starting to whistle out of nowhere.

Oh well, It doesn't matter. Although I am a bit skeptical about this whole situation, I guess I won't question you, Kami-sama.

"So, What's next? Do I go to heaven or h.e.l.l?"

G.o.d looked at me with a complex look and started laughing out loud, Causing me to feel a little awkward due to not knowing what was so funny.

After laughing for a while, he finally spoke.

"Imadkun... No, Hisashi. You are the first person I have seen react in such a way when told they are dead."

"I mean... I did not even tell you how you died, and you didn't even question me!"

Ah, so that's what it was. Well, I guess I never was someone with much of a personality.

Sorry to disappoint you.

"To be honest, if this were a normal case I would just make you reincarnate through usual means... But combining the fact that I find you interesting, and that you died due to my mistake, I think there might be another option."

G.o.d then smiled, before snapping his fingers once more.

------------------

"Argh... What a ma.s.sive headache."

As I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar roof above me. Subconsciously, I got up and realized that I was in my room.

So it really was a dream in the end huh? Well, it doesn't matter. After checking my phone, I realized that it was Sat.u.r.day today.

In the weekends I usually get to laze around and revel in the feeling of not doing anything productive with my life.

Feeling the spring breeze enter through my window along with the chirping of the Tree Sparrows, I stretched and made my way relaxedly towards my desk, where I sat on my chair and opened my cupboard.

"Ahh, How relaxing. I wonder if any of my friends are up for some duels..."

I retrieved my Nintendo Switch from the cupboard and turned it on, launching the newest Pokemon game: Sword and Shield.

As the game booted up, something weird happened.

A black screen appeared for a while, before turning into the start screen of the generation one games.

It looked like some kind of glitch... But before I could restart the console, my surroundings started to twist and turn.

"What on earth?"

With those last words, I blacked out.

------------------

------------------

Exactly five years earlier,

In a place full of greenery and lush vegetation, An old man wearing a lab coat could be seen crouching under some shrubbery while holding a camera tightly in his hands.

A few meters away from him, a majestic white horse, the likes of which didn't appear on earth, was feeding on some gra.s.s.

The horse had a thick trail of fire starting from it's frontal horn to its back.

"What an exemplary specimen... This Rapidash's horn is twice the size of a normal one... What could have led to this mutation?" The old man started to mumble under his breath as he used the camera's magnification filters freely.

Right at that moment, a loud sound came from the bushes near the old man, startling the horse.

"No!"

The old man was powerless as the Horse ran off into the distance.

"I had been tracking it for days... How unlucky..."

His face turned sour, and he turned to investigate the origin of the noise.

After a while of searching, he came across a Pidgeotto with a Caterpie in its mouth. Feeling down about the abysmal luck he had, he got up and decided to call it a day as he left for his vehicle.

The old man drove for a while before reaching a small, spread out a town near a small river. It had beautiful farmland adjacent to it and a breathtaking forest around it, along with a sh.o.r.e not too far away.

As the car made its way through beautiful the stone roads, you could see a bunch of lively people going about their day. The main catch was that almost all of them had a strange creature by their side.

Some were small, some were big. There were birds and rats, among other peculiar ones. The beauty of such a peaceful scene was one that could not be enjoyed on earth.

People and Pokemon were coexisting and depended on each other. Truly a wondrous sight for the old man as he drove through.

"Ahh, Pallet Town really is the place to be. So relaxing." As he said that, he finally made it to his residence. It was one of the bigger buildings in town.

As the old man made his way in, he was greeted by a large room filled with different electronic devices.

"Now, let's get back to work."

Before he could relax, someone burst into his lab. They were carrying what looked like an unconscious young boy with them.

------------------

------------------

All I can remember is having blacked out... and now everything is dark around me. I feel like my eyes are closed and I am unable to open them, not to mention moving my body.

As I regained consciousness, a weird voice started sounding in my head, making me confused.

What could this voice be? And where am I?

[Answering Host, this is the Pokemon trainer Aid System, PTAS.

The Host is currently recovering from being forcefully reincarnated in the Pokemon World.]

What?

Getting my mind together, I recalled the events that had transpired before leading to this situation...

Was this another dream? Or was that meeting with G.o.d real after all?
