The HR officer introduced Nickel to everyone. A lot of the people inside the room admired his accomplishments and achievements except for our girl, Zoey, who is dumbfounded from the information she gathered a few moments ago.

Why on earth she doesn't know him, they have worked together for almost five years, but they haven't cross paths.

"I feel ashamed calling myself Miss Directory and Miss Congeniality because all this time I didn't know his existence until this time." Zoey was murmuring to herself about the shameless nicknames she made for herself because she thought she knows everyone in Montana Office. She thought that she was a walking directory for her friends. 

Moreover, what she didn't expect was she and Nickel graduated on the same university back then, considering that their courses were on the same college department. 

She remembered that during their graduation, everyone will be called on stage to receive their diplomas and awards but why his name didn't ring a bell to her.

Zoey was indeed stupefied from the information about this guy. She looked at Nickel who absentmindedly sitting beside her and saw that he was doodling on his pad.

"Director Fuentes would you like to say a few words to everyone?" The HR officer broke the clouding confusion of Zoey and the sleepiness of Nickel.

Nickel hated to attend this kind of stuff: introducing yourself and giving a message to a group of people? What are they? What is this? Students? A seminar? 

He even declines being a speaker in all conferences and seminars he was invited too. 

But what an irony per SE, he was the one responsible for dealing with the investors and sponsors, but he hated to introduce himself and advising people.

Nickel stood up, "Good morning, let's work together for the betterment of this branch."

Nickel noticed that Zoey was still staring at him, he thought was this girl has an automatism? She is always unconscious and unaware of her actions. Just like now, he noticed that from the time he arrived she kept looking at him.

Nickel was wondering what happen to Zoey for the past few days to be like this. 

Everything is settled, from the ribbon cutting ceremony down to their first day of operation.

Zoey was about to leave the conference room when the HR Officer stopped her tracks.

"Miss Alcantara, please stay for a while, I would like to talk you board and lodging inclusion.

Zoey returned to her seat and saw that Nickel wasn't moving on his chair.

"Miss Alcantara" Zoey interrupted her and smiled, "Please call me Zoey." The HR Officer beamed and continued, "Zoey, Director Fuentes" she looked at the two when she referred their names. 

"The Vice President on Administration and Vice President on Finance added a very special inclusion on your contracts for excelling in your former position. They included a free board and lodging in Serenity Condominium. These units were bestowed to the both of you for your prodigious performance when you were still at Montana Office.

Also, a company vehicle will be given to you if you will be engaged to travel and meet investors. These keys will be yours. The car is on parking area already. If you have inquiries about the inclusions, you receive, feel free to say it me. THANK YOU."

After discussing the special inclusion they've received, the HR Officer excused herself then left the room. Leaving the two behind, Zoey was still looking at the copy of her contract. 

"Do you still plan to stay here?" Nickel was packing his things when he asked Zoey. The girl was once again for nth time looked at him with her confused eyes, "huh?"

He wanted to facepalm himself due to her today's absent-mindedness. "I said, are you planning to stay here? Because if yes, then I leave you behind."

She nonplussed then stood up and left the room without saying goodbye to the man she is talking too.

Nickel chuckled because of her cute reaction. It will be good to tease her all the time. And I still have a lot of chances to see her act like this again.
