The Truth Within Me Book One 14 The Ultimate Betrayal

I start thinking about everything that's happened in the last 3 days. The first thing that comes to mind is that stupid ritual. It was so hard on Nikki. The moment I give her the moon G.o.ddess potion. She let out a scream that was loud it hurt my ears. Then she falls back and started convulsing to the point we had to hold her down. But at that moment I swear that Zek looked like he felt bad about this whole situation. It's the first real thing I have seen from him in 3 years. but then it was gone and the only look on his face was doubt that if I was trying to kill her or not. Once Nikki pa.s.sed out I say my spell quickly and get her back to the cells.

I wish that Nikki Never had to go through this.

"Flashback "

3 years ago...

I just laid down in bed to go to sleep when I got a vision of Nikki for the first time. It was the night that Zek attacked her outside of the bar. I don't know how or why I did it. But when he bit into her shoulder I just knew it was wrong. I had to help her wolf reject the mating bond. I then help Nikki throw Zek off of her and I hold him down long enough for her to get away.

After that, the great divine started coming to me in visions. She tells me when and how to help Nikki for a year. Then one night she told me to stop helping her. That it was time for Zek to find her. She said that I had to help him do anything he wanted. I tried so hard to tell her no I would not help him. But the great divine said she will kill me so what choice did I have but to do what she telling me to do. But 3 nights ago she came to me and said it was time to help Nikki Escape on the second days after her 21st birthday I asked her how we were going to get out of here she said when the time was right she would guide me and show me how and where to go.

So as I am in my room get read for tonight I get another f.u.c.king vision I am so sick of this "s.h.i.t"! I really wish she leave me alone. Anyway, this vision is different this time the Great Divine shows me how to escape from Zek's pack and also how to get to the nightmare pack. I quickly go down to my workroom to get everything we are going to need. I make sure to get plenty of food and blood for Nikki. I also make sure to get medical supplies and clothes and all my spellbook and anything else I might need for potions. I then send it all to the nightmare pack's border so we will have it when we get there.

After everything's done I cast a protection spell on Nikki and then I put everyone else to sleep. They will sleep for 2 days that will give us just enough time to get to safety. When I have finished that I go to Zeke's room and call forth his wolf who wakes up easily and sits up and rubs his eyes and says," Jessie what's going on sweetheart why is every one asleep".

I quickly tell him what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. He then looks at me with sadness in his eyes. Then he says," I understand Jessie. I never agreed with what Zek was doing it and though it will hurt us to be apart But I will stay strong for you my love".

So what no one knows but me and Zayden that's Zek's Wolf. Is that I am actually Zek's mate. We have to hide it from Zek due to his cruelty that and we never wanted anyone to use it against us. Zayden felt the Bond the very first day that I came to live with the pack. He has protected me and looked after me all of this time.

I know my love thank you. I have two favors to ask of you though. One can you help me release Nikki from her cell and Secondly, can you look after the pack for the next two days. So that no one is attacked or gets hurt, please.

I quickly finish telling him everything and once that's done we quickly go down to the dungeon to get Nikki. When she first sees Zek she freaks the f.u.c.k out she even starts trying to hurt herself to get away from him. It takes us a little while to get her to calm down. But once I do I am able to explain that this is Zek's wolf Zaydan and that he will not hurt her all he wants is to help us.

Nikki looks at us like we are playing some game with her. I feel so bad about everything I really wish I could have helped her sooner. We finally get her out of the dungeon and Zayden carries her upstairs and outside. He sits her down on the steps outside and runs off behind the house. When he comes back he's driving an old pickup truck. Once he Parks the truck he gets out and walks up to me. He then says," Zeke never drives this truck It's just a farm truck and it does it have any trackers on it or anything. So you should be safe to take where ever you're going. I also made sure there plenty of gas as well. I have about $2,000 dollars that you can have so that should last you for a while, but if you need anything else use this cell phone to call me. It has a special sound on it. So when it Rings it'll bring me forth so I will answer the phone. Please know I love you and will do anything for you sweetheart all you have to do is ask and I will come to you,".

By is Pont I have tears in my eyes. I'm going to miss my mate so much it's killing me. But I have to do this Zayden reaches up and gives me a hug. Then says," I know but we will be okay. I promise I will call you and check in on you when I can. I love you be safe ok".

I looked up at him and nod my head yes. I then tell him I love him too and I promise I will be as safe as I can. I then quickly grabbed Nikki's hand and run for the truck. Once we make it inside the truck I take off when I finally look back in the rearview mirror I am able to breathe a sigh of relief. I looked over to see Nick is pa.s.sed out cold again all of this has really taken a toll on her body. She's really going to need her rest for the next couple of days. I think to myself I hope I've made the right decision because when Zek wakes up he's going to be on the biggest mission to kill us all.
