Cain was still in the process of trying hard to find out his wrongs, after all, the only hint she gave was,
"Figure out your mistakes with a clear head. If you can't do it in the period given, no worries, I will extend your deadline."
What extend the deadline? What clear head? He didn't need all of these. She was finally at the grasp of his hands and now she wouldn't even let him go near her.
For G.o.d's sake, He was known as the Devil king but now he looked like a puppy abandoned by its owner.
No this couldn't continue. He needed to quickly figure out why she was so p.i.s.sed. He knew better than anyone that even if it hurt her, she would ignore him for even a year if she had promised she would do so.
Many thoughts ran through his mind. This was a first for him to admit to his wrongs in front of someone. He didn't even know where to start looking. It was so much easier with chatting as everything was on the screen and he could always find his faults easily. And her reaction was pretty easy to get through texting. But now, he needed to think of both time and place of his mistake!
He racked his brain for a while. He thought of many things but he knew she was no simple and petty girl, so he excluded almost all of the 'answers'. Not finding answers he got irritated and just went to sit next to her.
'She is sleeping and I am not even touching her, so it should be fine,' Cain thought to himself and continued observing her sleeping face. All the chaos disappeared from his head. She was now the only thing that existed for him.
In Cain's perspective, the world was no nice and beautiful place as people described it to be. But ever since she came into his life it started to turn into one. At this moment he could completely relate to these people. Just having her next to him made everything so much more colourful and marvellous that it seemed he was on another planet.
After some time he noticed Sia's fluttering eyelashes and soon her beautiful blue-grey eyes came into his sight. She looked around, still disorientated, trying to figure out where she was.
Sensing the intense stare at her, Sia turned towards the source and asked with raised eyebrows,
"Does you being so close to me mean that you figured your mistake?"
"Siana, my Queen, my love, please stop with the childishness, will you? I don't even know when I'll have the chance to be so close to you again and you won't even let me touch you? You are breaking my heart you know that?"
For the first time in his life, Cain tried to play the victim card. Honestly, just in a matter of hours he had made so many firsts for her that he started to loose the count. It was good that no one saw him like this or else they would have questioned his ident.i.ty. Though, whether there were other people or not didn't really matter to him: as long as she was there he would act any way to make her happy.
"So what?"
Sia didn't budge. She was p.i.s.sed at him for not realising where he had gone wrong. If she didn't recognize him due to the loopholes, was he going to continue to act as a stranger? If she wasn't someone who was involved in skin mask development and could easily recognize one from close proximity, was he going to just put one on, like his other men, and pretend to be but a seatmate? And even though she didn't admit this to him, but if he hadn't had that slip of tongue saying her name, she wouldn't have dared to do what she did.
So, didn't this mean that everything was either due to chance or due to her wits and observational skills? He was just going to enjoy their time together knowing full well who she was leaving her to still wish for her meeting with King?
So what if his touch felt incredible and she herself wanted more? Just because it was nice, she wasn't going to forgive him. As friends they hadpromised not to lie to each other. Keep secrets? Sure, that's ok. But lies? No way in h.e.l.l!!! Relationships didn't build up on lies and he would better be taught that from the beginning!
And what was with his last statement? He didn't know when they could be this close again? Was he kidding her? After he helped her out of darkness, he was the one person she wanted to meet the most. And now, after he appeared in front of her, he was simply going to disappear again!? Like h.e.l.l she would let him do that!
So, turning to him she said with fierceness,
"Even if I have feelings for you, it doesn't mean that I will simply agree to be with you. If you want me to be your girlfriend you will have to fulfil some criteria, my dear King."
Cain looked at her with a panicked expression. Whatever she was going to say, somehow already didn't sit well with him. He could clearly feel the danger approaching. But was he going to say no to her? No way! He could say no to anyone but her.
So he meekly nodded his head and started looking at her with an alert expression. He felt like he was going to face the fact that the world was coming to an end, and instead of arguing that point he needed to accept the reality and try to find solutions for the future.
"So, rule number one: NO LIES.
Rule number two: NO SECRETS.
Rule number three: No attempts to keep me safe by keeping me in the dark.
Rule number four: Whatever happens that involves you, good or bad, I want to hear firsthand from you.
And finally last but not least: rule number five: you are not allowed to disappear from my life whenever you want. If we are together, then you don't try to hide me or hide from me all the time!
Do you have any objections, Your Highness Cain Greydale?"
