The s.p.a.ceship, now at its maximum speed, rushed towards the trapped Milano, carrying Lin Rui and his companions. Inside the s.p.a.ceship, Tony and the others were nervously contemplating how to handle the upcoming battle with Dormammu.

Besides this, each of them suppressed the excitement and exhilaration of venturing into s.p.a.ce for the first time.

Within Lin Rui’s body, the internal energy was rapidly recovering. After advancing his Training Technique, even though Lin Rui had expended all his internal energy in the previous eruption and even sustained some minor injuries due to pushing his potential, the Advanced Training Technique facilitated a swift recovery.

As the s.p.a.ceship was about to approach the thick mist that ensnared the Milano, Lin Rui’s eyes were subtly shifting – he was on the verge of waking up.

“We’re within attack range. Should we initiate an attack?” As the s.p.a.ceship approached the black mist, J.A.R.V.I.S.’s voice resounded one last time, seeking Tony’s attack command.

“Attack!!” With a forceful slap on the console in front of him, Tony yelled loudly.

At Tony’s confirmation of attack, a series of attacks were swiftly launched from the front segment and lower belly of the battle armor, charging towards the rapidly approaching black mist.

Most of these were laser beam attacks, while some consisted of special lifeform energy strikes and Shock Girl’s energy attacks. These were currently the most advanced attack methods available from Tony, SHIELD, and Earth.

The conventional heat-based weapons used within the Earth’s atmosphere, such as missiles, had already become obsolete in s.p.a.ce.

The design blueprint of the E Grade s.p.a.ceship included weapons like plasma cannons, but Earth’s technology was insufficient to construct them, even if Tony and the others had the blueprint in their hands.

Fortunately, laser-based attacks had more power in the vacuum of s.p.a.ce compared to within Earth’s atmosphere, making them fitting for the s.p.a.ceship.

In the s.p.a.ce environment, dozens of energy beams slammed into the black mist at nearly light speed. However, these attacks, which were potent enough to obliterate a city in an instant on Earth, merely caused the mist to ripple slightly, having almost no effect.

Witnessing the impact of the s.p.a.ceship’s attacks, the expressions of Tony and the others grew grim. If they couldn’t break through this mist, supporting Star-Lord was out of the question.

“a.n.a.lysis complete. The opponent possesses the ability to devour energy with great power. Unless our attack surpa.s.ses its consumption threshold, it’s nearly impossible to break through.” After the first round of attacks, J.A.R.V.I.S.’s voice echoed through the c.o.c.kpit.

“Do our ship’s weapons stand a chance of breaking through?” Upon hearing J.A.R.V.I.S.’s a.n.a.lysis, Captain Rogers quickly inquired.

“At the current level of the s.p.a.ceship, the probability of breaking through is less than 0.01%.”

Upon receiving J.A.R.V.I.S.’s response, the people in the c.o.c.kpit fell silent. 0.01% – that was practically no chance at all.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Just as Captain Rogers and the others were left uncertain about their next move due to J.A.R.V.I.S.’s response, three consecutive intense explosions erupted from within the black mist up ahead.

These explosions were accompanied by three dazzling golden beams of light piercing through the thick mist. In this dire situation, Rocket decided to detonate the remaining three super-energy batteries!

Pew Pew Pew!

As the golden light pierced through the mist ahead, J.A.R.V.I.S., who had been monitoring the situation, didn’t hesitate and activated all of the s.p.a.ceship’s weapons, launching an attack.

Phew!

Coordinated with the sudden detonation of the three super-energy batteries around the outer perimeter of the Milano and the full-strength attack of the s.p.a.ceship controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S., a not-so-large gap was blasted open within the dense black mist.

Subsequently, a battered silver-red s.p.a.ceship emerged unsteadily from the gap. Its direction was straight toward the Earth s.p.a.ceship.

“We did it!” Seeing the seemingly disintegrating s.p.a.ceship swaying as it approached, Captain Rogers clenched his fist and cheered.

The excitement wasn’t limited to Captain Rogers alone. Tony, Professor Charles, and the others all had a gleam of light in their eyes. Clearly, from a situation of no hope to a positive outcome, everyone was thrilled.

However, while everyone’s attention was fixed on the incoming Milano, Peter didn’t notice that Lin Rui, handed to him by Tony, had gradually opened his eyes.

Just after Captain Rogers’ cheer, a burst of crackling electric noise echoed in the s.p.a.ceship’s c.o.c.kpit. Then, a communication link was established.

“Is that you, Jackson?! You actually came!” Upon J.A.R.V.I.S. establishing the communication link, Star-Lord’s excited shout resounded within the c.o.c.kpit.

Just as Tony was about to respond to Star-Lord, another voice came from behind him.

“Yes, Star-Lord, it’s me. Long time no see.” It was Lin Rui, now awake, standing beside Peter. He looked at the Milano flying toward them and weakly spoke.

Seeing Lin Rui wake up and interact with Star-Lord, Tony refrained from continuing.

“It’s really you! Jackson, hurry! We’re no match for that guy! Don’t sacrifice yourself in vain here!” Upon hearing Lin Rui’s voice, Star-Lord hastily exclaimed.

“Yeah, I know. However, we probably can’t escape now.” Walking up to Tony’s side and resting his hand on the control panel, Lin Rui glanced at the screen and sighed helplessly.

After the Milano burst out of the black mist and into s.p.a.ce, the gap created by the explosion was rapidly sealing shut as the mist twisted and reformed.

Meanwhile, Dormammu’s main body, which had been following closely behind the s.p.a.ceship, was now trapped behind them. Being aware of Dormammu’s strength, Lin Rui understood the gravity of the situation.

Even if Lin Rui’s strength recovered enough for him to overturn the situation and activate the Portal using the Magic Cube, it would simply expedite Dormammu’s journey to Earth. In this inescapable situation, Lin Rui and the others seemed to have no choice but to engage in a direct confrontation.

“Sigh! If I had known, I wouldn’t have sent that distress signal to you!” Upon hearing Lin Rui’s words, Star-Lord expressed regret.

“It’s alright; there might be a turning point. Since we’ve chosen to come here, we’ve prepared ourselves for this.” Hearing the remorse and apology in Star-Lord’s words, Lin Rui shook his head and replied.

Exhaling deeply, Lin Rui’s conversation with Star-Lord went on for a short while. During this time, the Milano, swaying unsteadily, had flown near the Earth s.p.a.ceship and was now flying alongside the Earth-originated vessel.
