Rain poured from the sky as if it was angry at the earth, the interior sity was such that even with my improved body I still felt pain as the tiny drops of water pelted my body . The winds themselves were fierce, and thunder rumbled from within the clouds, almost as if lightening would fall to the earth again . It was hard enough for me to see, but I was able to make my way towards the smoking crater in the middle of the courtyard where I hoped to find the remains of the woman .
And I did, the first thing I noticed was her state of clothing, maybe it was my virgin mind at work, but her exposed body was what dragged my attention . Injured or not, it's quite obvious this woman had a.s.sets that could be otherwise described as bountiful . But at the moment even though her b.r.e.a.s.t.s were exposed to the world, it would take an extremely sick person to lay attention to them based on how injured she was .
There were black veins spread allover her body, i recognized that as a mark that anything struck by lightening would get . But it was not just black veins that stretched allover her body, I could also see purple veins and right before my eyes the purple veins were moving, slowly stretching from her navel all the way up heading to her chest . I felt this sudden sense of urgency, so I bent down and placed my ear on before chest, ignoring how my head almost seemed to sink into it . There was a heartbeat, but it was incredibly faint, but I had the feeling she wouldn't last long enough for me to take her back to storage room .
I took a closer look at her again, looking at the purple veins that were slowly still spreading and searching my memory for what it was . I obviously knew she was poisoned, I've spent a significant amount of time studying about a lot of things in my storage room, and medical alchemy is one of those subjects . I might not be able to put most of what I've learnt into practice, but I'm pretty sure that at this point, I can tell when a person is poisoned .
At the moment I couldn't identify which poison it was exactly, there are roughly two dozen poisons of differing effects and intensity to showed it's symptoms as purple veins spreading across the body as if it had a mind of it's own . Two of them were aphrodisiacs, one a poison to make someone berserk or mad, and five of them were powerful hallucinogens . But one thing most of the prisons have in common was that if left unchecked, death is a possibility that's a 100% guaranteed .
And since she has been struck with lightening, I don't think her body was in any state to fight against the poison, external help was needed . And one such help was the b.l.o.o.d.y rain that was falling . The cold was and the external stimulation from the rain falling on her was slowing down the advance of the poison, so I had to take advantage of that immediately .

Is it just me or was I getting weaker . But I couldn't stop now, I knew there was hardly enough energy in my body to do this, but if I didn't at least try to slow down the advance of the poison until it was completely healed, then she was going to die . So I knelt there, under the rain with my hands on a body I couldn't appreciate because a life was on the line .
To be honest I had to ask myself a question if I would have saved this woman without the mission from the system . I like to think I would, but deep down even I knew that I would have abandoned her to her fate if my survival was not so dependent on hers . But it was not because I was a bad person, as average as I may be, I was raised in such a way that doing good deeds was a courtesy, but only if I can't escape from it .
I never in my whole life took the initiative to help someone other than the members of my family, I would just ignore and go my own way, after all it's no problem of mine . And in this new world that I've suddenly found myself in, such a character would definitely help me live longer . Because in all honesty everything about Huxia terrified me, but as I stood here under the rain, I wondered, was it right that I'll let my fear stop me from doing the right thing . Would I ignore someone who really needs help and just go on my way because I was afraid?
I didn't like the answer to that question, and that was because I knew it was a yes . I'm not as kind and chilvarous as I thought I was, I'm not more than a selfish coward who would only put himself first . I felt shame, shame because this was not how my parents raised me, however I knew that I couldn't change, not in this world . Because without a doubt such a character would keep me safe, the world be d.a.m.ned .
I eventually reached the bottom of my energy reserves, but thankfully the healing session seemed to have worked . The purple veins did not recede however they had stopped advancing, stuck firmly in a spot two inches above her navel . As for the black marks caused by the lightening strikes some of them had disappeared, and she was finally breathing again, though I could barely notice it . Either way, she was in a stable enough condition to move, so I picked her up in a princess carry, and that was when I noticed her face .
She had purple hair, elongated and pointed ears as tribal tattoos on the left side of her face . This woman was an elf, and not just any elf; she was a member of the elusive and elitist high elves . The tribal tattoos on the left side of the face was a trait only high elves had . She looked to be in mid twenties to early thirties, but with elves you can't really tell their age since they live for a very long as time, and couple it with cultivation, and you have a true immortal race .
But nevertheless this woman was gorgeous, of course I've seen beautiful women before, Earth was blessed with an abundance of beautiful women, and this lady in my arms would fit right at hop with K-pop girl bands, or Indian actresses or maybe American models . Safe to say with her beauty exposed to me, I became a little bit more conscious of my actions as I carried her up the stairs and into the grand hall .
Not knowing if it would work with me carrying another person I used stealth, but it looks like there was absolutely no need as I did not even see the shadows of a single monster or beast as I made my way back to the storage room . The storm outside did not seem like it was ready to take a break as it raged harder, so maybe that was why the monsters were missing, they were probably costing up in a huddle or under a blanket somewhere .
This whole storm was caused by one if her opponents, so I could not begin to imagine what sort of power she had, or those people who tried to kill her . This world was getting more ridiculous by the second, because seriously! Someone made rain! A freaking rain storm with ma.s.sive bolts of lightening raining down from the sky like snow during winter… . nothing makes sense anymore .
Getting her into the storage room was a bit tricky, but it was in the process of doing so, that I realized she still had her sword in her hands . It was an ornately carved long sword that was really thin, it was about two inches wide, and a meter long . It's hilt looked like the stem of a flower, with a guard that looked like a scattered mess of th.o.r.n.y vines, with a purple rose right in it's middle . The edges and tip of the blade seemed to have been painted or made with some sort of purple metal, making it seem like a shade of purple was painted on the edge of a gleaming silver blade .
But for some reason said sword was stuck firmly in her hands, nothing I tried would make her let go of the sword . So I just dragged her in, and placed her on one of the beds in the storage room . Then I took an hour to rest and calm my nerves, before I went back and tried to heal her again . My heal skill got to level three, and the poison veins receded by two whole inches, becoming centered around her belly b.u.t.ton (that I was nor staring at longer than normal . )
