Chapter 31: You Still Do Not Come?
He felt, a breezy wind.
A gust of wind blew away the yellow sand in front of him, and he seemed to be able to see the things around him. But when he could almost glimpse what it was. He abruptly woke up.
Then—-
Then, it was like this now.
When he thought about it, Zhu Feng couldn't help looking back at the fan that fell on the ground beside his bed. The lamp that was almost extinguished clearly lit up his eyes, which made him anxious.
His nightmare had changed, could it be—-
Zhu Feng only pondered for a short time. But for Nan Yan, it seemed like the longest moment of her life.
She looked nervously at the tip of the sword that was near her throat, which was shining in the candlelight. The sharp rays almost cut her skin. In such a dangerous situation, she was frightened and felt her neck hairs stand on their ends.
At some point, the long sword was slowly removed.
Nan Yan opened her eyes and watched as Zhu Feng slowly raise his hand and took the long sword back.
It was like her foot almost stepped into Yama's Temple and drew back. Nan Yan was relieved. She was drenched in sweat, soaking the clothes on her back.
Zhu Feng silently sheathed the long sword after standing up.
His eyes were still looking at her coldly, just like a fierce tiger staring at the rabbit under its claws. While Nan Yan struggled to sit up, the gaze had frightened her so much that it made her hands and feet weak. She fell back on the bed, trying to get up several times, but it was pointless.
She was covered in sweat and even more anxious that Zhu Feng might get the wrong idea.
At last, she finally grabbed the corner of the bed with great difficulty to support her body up, almost falling back to her previous state. Next, she knelt on the ground, and said:
"Your Highness, please forgive me."
Zhu Feng's eyes were intense in the dim light. He looked again at the fan on the ground and said:
"Pick it up."
"… Y-es, Yes."
Nan Yan quickly picked up the fan, prepared to walk back to the corner. But when she was about to turn around and walk away, Zhu Feng suddenly said:
"It is right here."
"Ah?"
Nan Yan looked back in surprise, as she could not understand him:
"What did you say, Your Highness?"
"This Prince is letting you stay right here."
"……"
Nan Yan was somewhat stupefied. She saw Zhu Feng slowly returning to his bed. At this time, he was so calm. As if nothing had happened and that nightmare was just an illusion.
What remained of the candle on the candlestick was very short, making the light even more dim. Nan Yan could only see the low hanging curtains and his eyes sparkling slightly.
"This Prince is allowing you to guard at my bedside. "
"……"
Nan Yan gripped the fan tighter, her cold sweat was already covered up by the fan. Making it feel slippery.
He said to guard by the bed?
She knew that Yan w.a.n.g did not have that kind of idea about her. Even though the two of them had already been in that sort of posture. He probably just wanted to find out whether she would harm him or not.
But now he was letting her stay beside his bed?
Nan Yan hesitated again, but heard the low and magnetic voice again:
"Still not coming?"
"……"
Nan Yan hesitated for a moment, and then slowly went back.
Just as she was kneeling down beside the bed. She made a light blowing sound and the candlestick at the head of the bed died out.
