The kid fired into the sleeping bag and blood flew everywhere. Cobb secretly chucked to himself, now the kid was a murderer and would have no choice but, to join him. While he was enjoying himself the kid ran outside looking like he was going to be sick. Cobb just ignored him and about trying to find where Ringo hid his caps.
He kicked an empty Whiskey bottle away and examined the area. There was no Backpack and everything else was just junk. He decided to check the corpse, who knows maybe the man liked to sleep with his money.
Cobb lifted the sleeping bag to move Ringo's body. But, when he saw what was inside his heart dropped. It wasn't a human inside but, a pig!
A sense of dread filled him and he ran for the exit as fast as he could. Pushing past the two members of his gang who were also scavenging around.

Once Cobb reached the door he dived onto the ground outside just in time to avoid the ma.s.sive explosion that destroyed the gas station.
Cobb knew he was in danger and struggled to his feet and yelled that they were under attack. Hoping his remaining men would be able to pull themselves together. But, if the ringing in his ears were any indication they probably couldn't hear him anyway.
As Cobb staggered to his feet he came face to face with the kid from before who was currently holding a rifle to his head.

It's been a week since the fight with the Powder Gangers and I'm finally ready to move on to Primm.
After the explosion every happened pretty quickly. As soon as it happened Sunny took out the other three Powder Gangers while they were disoriented by the blast. I guess Cobb saw that the body I shot wasn't actually Ringo and was just a pig we drugged, it was Trudy's idea.
I tried told Cobb to surrender but, he went for a gun and I had to put a bullet in his head. After I killed him I just stood there for a good couple minutes looking at his corpse. It frustrated me that I was more disgusted by all the blood and brain matter, than I was for having killed him in the first place.
While I was wondering about whether I was good person or not. I felt a hand on my shoulder.
It was Doc Michael "You don't need to feel bad about killing him. He made his choice and this is the result. You protected yourself and did nothing wrong."
I just nodded and went off somewhere to find a place to rest, it had been a long day.
Trudy gave me a key to one of the abandoned houses in the town, and told me I could stay there as long as needed. Ringo stopped by that night and thanked me for everything I did and gave me the rest of my pay, and told me to look him up if I was ever around the Crimson Caravan.
I spent the rest of the week exploring the area around Goodsprings and collecting all of the valuables I knew about.
I cleaned the school house of all the Praying Mantis's and picked the safe to get the Stealthboy. Killed a couple Bark Scorpions and Bloatflies while I was up at the cemetery getting the Snowglobe for Mister House. I even went and cleared Goodsprings Cave, Yangtze Memorial, and The Devil's Gullet on my was up to Sloan to fix that Molerats broken leg. And lastly I warned everyone in town about that guy lying about his friend being Trapp at the top of the hill by Gecko's. I didn't want to have to kill him, so l figured letting everyone know was my best choice. Sunny said she would deal with it and was gone for an entire day. Don't know what happened to him but, I could guess.
When everything was said and done I leveled up another two times. I put 20 points into Speech and 10 into sneak. As for my Perk Point I used it on Intensive Training. When I was done my stats looked like this.

The reason I put 20 points into Speech was because I needed at least 50 Speech to start the quest to recruit Ca.s.s. I had a lot of time to think and decided I wasn't going to stop the Powder Gangers while I was in Primm.
I would only stay in Primm long enough to fix ED-E, then I would head south to the Mojave Outpost to pick up Ca.s.s and get Primm under NCR jurisdiction.
That probably wasn't the best solution for the town. Since they would end up having to pay tons of taxes. But, the only other options had me making a robot Sheriff, which was dumb. Or, going to the NCR prison that the Powder Gangers over ran to get some guy paroled and him be the Sheriff.
Neither of those options sounded good to me. Plus there was no way I was going anywhere near the NCR Correctional Facility without an army at my back.
I said my goodbyes to everyone in town and headed on my way. I tried to convince Sunny to come with but, she told me her place was in Goodsprings protecting the people.
I left early in the morning before the sun came up. I was told that Primm was over a day and a half's walk, so I wanted to get going before it got too hot.
It wasn't a hard trip. All I had to do was follow the road out of Goodsprings south and I'd get there. The problem was that from what I remembered there was a Powder Ganger camp I would have to pa.s.s on the way.
In the game there were only two people but, I couldn't take that risk. So I decided to stay far off to one side of the road where no one would normally walk, to hopefully avoid being spotted.
Once the sun rose it started getting difficult and I was thankful my weird gamer powers let me carry a huge amount of extra water without being slowed down.
That was another thing I did during my week in Goodsprings. I tested the limits of my powers to see what I could and couldn't do.
The first thing I tested was my Special. I wanted to know if I got boosts from clothes and if so how much did they affect me.
Luckily I had my Cowboy Hat and the pair of Sungla.s.ses I got off Cobb, which should give me a combined bonus of+2 in Perception. I didn't really notice it before but, now that I was paying attention to it. There was a noticeable difference when I put on or took of the hat, even more so if I added the gla.s.ses. It wasn't just that my vision became sharper either all my sense did. It almost felt like the world was a different place when I had them on.
Next I tested my carry weight. From what I remembered the starting carry weight if you have five Strength is 200 pounds and you add another ten to that for every point added. To test this I payed Chet a few caps to borrow the scale he used around his shop. I measured out 200 lbs worth of stuff and put it my Backpack. It definitely felt heavy but, it didn't seem like it would be a problem to lug around. Then I added a bit more weight and just like I imagined I nearly collapsed under its weight when I tried to move.
The last thing I tested was VATS. I wanted to know how many shots I could fire, how long it takes my AP to recharge, and what it's max range is.
Figuring out how many shots I could fire was easy for both the Shotgun and Varmint Rifle it was two.
Finding out how long it takes my AP to refill wasn't hard either. I counted up how many tick marks there were on my AP gauge when I was in VATS and found that I had around 80 Action Points. Then I fired a shot in VATS and timed how long it took for one tick mark to come back. It ended up that one tick mark came back every 12 seconds, meaning that my AP would completely refill from empty every 16 minutes or so.
Getting my max range was a little more difficult. But, with Sunny's help I managed to trap a Gecko to use as a marker. I chained to the ground and kept moving further and further away from it until VATS wouldn't activate anymore. I got over 800 meters or 2,400 feet before it stopped working.
I had my Sungla.s.ses and Hat on at the time I did the test meaning my Perception was at 8. I didn't think that was a coincidence and redid the test without them on, and this time I could only get 600 meters away before VATS didn't work.
I got pretty excited when I found that out. It mean my maximum range in ideal conditions is over half a mile. I know people have made shots even further than that but, to be able to rapidly and accurately switch between multiple targets at that distance was basically impossible. If I found some items that restored AP I could imagine taking down dozens of enemies at that range, without them being able to fire back at all.
With all the broken abilities and knowledge I had it didn't seem impossible for me to completely take over the wasteland. h.e.l.l, if I couldn't make an impact on the world with all the advantages I had, I may as well just drop dead right now.
