Also, maybe it’s going to be a little heartwarming for a while.

The meeting

“Well then, everyone is working hard, let’s take our seats.” (Georg)

When Georg appeared a bit late and took a seat, everyone followed suit. A large rectangular table was prepared in a big open room in Georg’s mansion. Georg sat at the head of the table, next to Ferris, with on her side four people of the industrial departments. On the other side of Georg, Nina was sitting, with three people next to her, being the two remaining industrial chiefs and Cale. The two guard-corps representatives were sitting at the end of the table, side by side.

This seating is meant to show that units under Georg’s direct jurisdiction aren’t necessarily superior to other organizations. Although only Ferris knew he had been worrying about the seating order.

“Then, we’ll hold the regular meeting with this. First of all, Industry Division, Nina.” (Ferris)

Ferris is the chairman of this discussion for some reason. Georg was thinking that she was looking like a child holding their chest high in front of their parents, but he didn’t say anything foolish like that.

“Well, first of all it is agriculture, in addition to several kinds of vegetables, production of soybeans as a food source for livestock has also begun, Helen.” (Nina)

“Yes” (Helen)

A woman from the rabbit-tribe called Helen stood up. Somewhat uneasy gestures and expressions represent her weaknesses, but she was originally purchased by a farmer and has been working on a farm, so she was more familiar with agriculture than anyone, and so, she now leads the agricultural industry. However, the timid will be needed there.

Because of Georg’s standing ovation, she sat down with a red face and a bit h.o.r.n.y, and the atmosphere was getting weird. Even Nina who is her superior floated a kind smile. This is probably because she knew well that Georg wouldn’t think this degree is bad, rather that he was pleased by it.

"Next is animal husbandry, this is also going very smoothly. Kurt." (Nina)

“Ou” (Kurt)

Kurt is a man from the rat-tribe. With a gap in his ears and his tone cutely shaking he is a personal favorite of Georg. His ability is also certain, however.

“In our department, we have steadily increased the number of livestock and we have newly added chickens. Some people had originally been working in a slaughterhouse, so it might be a good thing to construct soon. While it may seem fast, I think it should be followed by securing the site and checking the facilities.”  (Kurt)

His figure pretentiously preaching with an expression of full confidence gives a sense of security to the viewer. Actually, I thought about a.s.signing him to the guards, but there were some circ.u.mstances and he was stopped by his brother and subordinates.

“Hmm……I remember there was a story last time to establish a civil engineering construction branch from Cale and the Wood Industry, what is going on with that?” (Georg)

“Yes, at the moment, it’s in the stage of dismantling and a.s.sembling the samples of houses that I received from His Excellency, and acc.u.mulating knowledge, but is it a good idea to start soon?” (Cale)

So he said to Georg, seemingly expressionless, but his ear twitched a little (elf ears move in accordance with their emotions!). I’m not sure when they learned to address me that way, but Nina and Cale call me ‘His Excellency’. It tickles my male instinct a little, and no matter how many times I have told them to stop doing it, they continue on anyway.

“Good, then get some people to check the site and start building while consulting Kurt. Cale, oversee this and if necessary, a.s.sist while using magic, is that okay?” (Georg)

“Yes!” (Cale)

I will pretend with tacit understanding that I haven’t seen his slightly shaking ears. Though Georg nearly failed to suppress his face slackening, he moved on.

“Let’s continue with Nina.”

Ferris urges Nina to speak again.

“Yes, in the end there is the fishing industry……..but this is still a no, isn’t it Tina?” (Georg)

“…..Uhhh…….Yes……” (Tina)

A woman from the Tora-tribe, called Tina, was originally a bright and cheerful woman but she was now cowering with her tail between her legs.

“We are still in the stage of swimming training. The more people who can swim, the better they get used to water…..and the ship and the net are finished……we are working hard.” (Tina)

The cause of her fear comes from the fact that only the fishing industry is still in its testing phase. It is not her fault, but her sense of responsibility is strong and she is easily caught in a loop of self-reproach.

"Hmmmm…. Leona, Cain and William, report about the new ship and net, please.” (Georg)

They are respectively an elf woman of the textile industry, a woodworking sheep-tribe man and a dwarf male representative of the iron industry.

Tina seemed to think that she would not be needed anymore after the report, and shrunk inwards while standing.

“Yes, this is the report from the textile industry, the strength of the net has been secured. Using the sun-dried string by dipping it in oil, makes it resistant to water to some extent, I already used it this way so I can confirm this. We would like to hear the opinions of the site.” (Leona)

We were able to secure odd stability in the ship by making the hull wider and attaching a float on one side. We have reinforced the fragile parts of the important places with the iron industry, and we have put many stones on the bottom of the main body, so that the weight will prevent the ship from capsizing. Even going out in a full storm will be possible for someone.” (Cain)

“We from the iron industry think it would be easier to report that during the report on the mine development later. Just as Cain has said, the ship is mostly completed and travel-ready. After using it we will see if there are points of improvement. The tunnel is much easier to light thanks to the torches and oil made by the woodwork industry. Right now, iron ore is our main product, but we expect to be handling precious metals as well soon." (William)

When the person with the abundant personality finished the report, Georg received it and said:

“So. Tina, only the future of the fishing industry is important. Get busy investigating, exploring, and suggesting ways to efficiently acquire fishing products and process them. But everyone is expecting a lot of it, so there is currently little supply of fishing resources for the population. However, depending on Tina’s efforts, the food self-sufficiency rate of the city will further increase and will become rich. I also want to eat Tina’s cooked fish, can I come try that some time?” (Georg)

“Oh…….Yes! I will do my best!!” (Tina)

As expected. The words of Georg are the most encouraging to the inhabitants of this city. Tina, who received it, was standing upright with full self-confidence, to the point that her previous demeanor seemed nothing but a lie.

“Hmmm, thank you.” (Georg)

The expressions of those emotions unique to beastmen are my favorite. But I should have patience, the guard-corps still remains.

“Then, Johann, report.” (Ferris)

Ferris still observes the flow naturally, and urges the report. She is already a perfect secretary.

“Yes! We have also been able to work without problems until now. The shift adjustment of each platoon has been completed, and now we are going to take a break from work to go hunting, so we can contribute to the food supply somewhat." (Johann)

Johann is serious and diligent, and his loyalty to Georg is on the same level as Nina and Cale. He was also a member of the first 68 residents, but it seems that Georg has given him a set of weapons and armor, and taught him his personal sword style too. He is called the Sword of the Guard Corps, and it seems that there are many girls falling in love with his twin-sword technique nowadays. It is truly an outrageous thing.

“Well, the only thing I have given to Johann as a task is protecting the city, but you are free to do anything else, however, do not go beyond yourself." (Georg)

“I will keep those words to my heart.” (Johann)

Truly a stiff man. But also the man I like the most.

“Please. Then, there seems to be nothing else…..” (Georg)

“Then, let us finish this meeting with this. You are dismissed.” (Ferris)

The people disbanded at Ferris’ words……and everyone stared, full of expectations, at Georg, regardless of gender.

They are not the only ones longing for the yearly event. As is Georg.
