Part Two
Written by: Mariciosa
Dim lights... loud music... students dancing crazy... some are making out... some are eating.
These are what I witness the first second I stepped in the hotel. What a crazy club! Oops! I thought I'm in a club instead of a prom party. I guess we are here? I checked the name of the place and this is our destination according to the invitation... as I can remember. I immediately walk towards my designated seat... of course with Quin.
"I will just get food for us.", Quin said and I answered him with a nod. I am just sitting here quietly completely out of place because Mildred didn't attend the party.
As I scan my surroundings, someone caught my eye. Samantha! I saw Samantha looking at.... Quin. I can see how lonely she is... how sad she is.
"Hey!", someone knocked me back at my senses. It's Quin... placing the foods in our table.
"So... how's life?", he asked me.
"Stressful.", I answered.

"What about you?", I asked him also.
"Problematic.", he answered with a faint smile. I just eat in silence. I know it's about Samantha.
*cough*
I coughed, trying to break the awkward atmosphere.
"What is your plan after the graduation? What course will you get?", I asked him.
"Psychology. My pre - med course.", he answered then resumed eating.
"I guess I can be your first patient...", I cracked a joke.
"Sure. But you have to pay for it.", he answered, teasing me.
I faked a gasp.
"But why? I'm your friend.", I answered with my right brow raised.
"Nothing in this world is free. Everything has a price.", he replied with a smirk.
"Then how much for a night?", I blurted out.
s.h.i.t!
Wrong question. I can feel my cheeks heated up from my embara.s.sment.
Stupid! Stupid Brina!
He looked at me like another head grew up at me.
Suddenly, the music turns mellow....
I found the love for me...
"Let's dance.", he said while looking at the crowd. I stopped eating and looked at him.
Darling just dive right in...
"Let's go.", he offered his hand to me and I grabbed it. Our hands fit perfectly like we are meant for each other..... but we are not.
And follow my lead...
"ahm..... are you okay.", I asked him. He looks sad and frustrated.
Well I found a girl beautiful and sweet...
"Samantha broke up with me."
