"There's a pest lurking in your flower!" 

Ah'nuh said with out leaving her gazed in Ye'ers side.

He smiled at her. "Pest were always meant to die!"

While the one who glared at him in the other side miss understood that smiled in his face, she frowned.

Before he could do something his Majesty had finally arrived together with his Empress, Empress Xu.

"Greetings Huángshang. .Huánghòu. !"

All the Minister give his Majesty and her Majesty an semiformal greetings.

"No need for such formalities!" 

The Emperor said while Empress Xu wave her hands before sitting down next to the Emperor.

Ye'er studied Empress Xu, The woman is a beauty in her mid forties, though she had aged a little but it seem like only time had pa.s.sed by but not her youth.

Ye'er looked at her with admiration, Empress Xu is indeed a mother of nation.

She had an aura of authority even in her gesture, her facial expression was disceet but Ye'er sense that the woman was nevertheless,dangerous.

"Haven't you seen my mother before?" 

Xiang asked her casually.

"No. .I haven't!" she said looking at Xiang face. "But seeing you is like looking at her and Taiz. .

She frowned, how could that be? she thought and immidiately dismissed the idea.

"My mother is a very reserved woman. .the kind you don't want to provoked!"

Ye nodded, he took a glanced towards Tàizǐ 

diànxià who happened to glared at her, he had that warning looked in his face that she deliberately ignored.

"You surely happy in someone else company, why bother yourself minding my business?"

She thought furiously, she's jealous and only an idiot doesn't knew it. 

"Lets light up the fire fountain and begin the feast!" 

His Majesty announce, they all stand and went in the entrance of the banquet hall. 

The banquet hall was located at the top, the stairs that leads the way into that hall was divided into three portion. The first level near the flat form was where the commoners stood, the second stairs were for the businessmen.

The third one is for the rich lords and dukes and finally the main hall were intended for all important Ministers, guest envoys, his Majesty's sons and daughters the known princes and princesses of the kingdom including herself were gathered together.

In the center of the second stairs, there stood a giant triangle shape and it was surrounded with a little cone shape, she doesn't understand the thing until it was lit up. 

When the giant triangle shape was lit, it emits thousands of sparks of various colors and shoot continuous stream of colorful sparks into the airs.

"Lovely.!" 

Ye said while her eyes spark with admiration. This is the first time she had seen this kind of things right before her eyes. 

When she was a small child whenever there was this sort of occasion in the kingdom, she would silently admire it from afar whenever she saw it in the sky.

She suddenly gasped when the small triangle shapes in the ground was lit up, it produce a canon like sound before it goes up in the sky, followed by crackles and whistles then a thousands of colorful sparks has been scattered in the air.

"Lovely indeed.!" She jerked when someone suddenly spoke beside her. "As lovely as the one admiring it!" 

She smiled at his compliment. She saw the northern prince stood next to her, his eyes was sparkling but she just thought that it was because of the reflection of the fireworks display.

"I guest tonight is my lucky night!" 

He said with out blinking his eyes.

"Why is that?" 

She frowned. Northern Prince looked up in the sky where the fireworks had been beautifully displayed and then glanced at her, with a smile in his lips.

"This is my first time seeing this lovely thing with a lovely lady beside me!"

Ye doesn't knew if he was just coaxing her or something but somehow she found his words sincere. She smiled, he's a guest and being friendly with him is not a bad thing.

"Thank you!" She smiled before looking up. "This is my first time also!"

"There's always beauty in every first time, isn't it!" 

"Indeed!" 

She agreed with out realizing what he really meant.

"But there were somethings that we could only see but never ours to take!" 

He chuckled, she glanced at him. Ye diànxià is clearly a man with a better understanding of many things, he probably knew I already belong to someone else, thats good to know! She thought.

On the other side Tàizǐ diànxià stood with Ah'nuh Gōngzhu but it is not the firework display or its beauty that caught his attention, it was Ye'er and the prince who stood next to her.

He saw the way Ye'er was smiling sweetly while talking to the prince, if he was near he would probably saw how she blushed everytime that fool complimented her. 

It makes his blood boil, he even thought of dragging her out in this place and locked her up in his bed chamber, he clenched his hands and stepped towards them when Xiang blocked his way.

Ah'nuh Gōngzhu was about to followed him but she was dragged by someone in her hand and disappeared.

"Don't be such an idiot!" Xiang snapped angrily."Don't make things complicated!"

"It was clear who's making things complicated here!" Tàizǐ snap imperiously. "That idiot clearly knew who she is but still, he. .

"It was your fault.!" Xiang narrowed her eyes. "You're certainly busy with someone else and let your guard down, you clearly forgets what she deserve!"

"Im working here!"

"Working and flirting were two different stories!" She snorts."Men were just bunch of hypocrites!"

Tàizǐ frowned when she heard his sister muttered such blunt words. 

"Are you drunk?" His voice had shifted into concern.

"No!" She said avoiding his eyes."But sometimes a fool is better drunk than sober,don't you think so?"

"You must take a rest.!" 

Tàizǐ said, he was about to hold her when she swatted his hand away.

"Im not going anywhere, not tonight!" Her voice croaked. as her brother, Tàizǐ doesn't know what to do with his sister. Xiang was clearly having a turmoil of emotion.

"Fine, Im going to stay here with you!" 

"How Ironic.!" She smiled bitterly. "The one I wanted to stay with me was running away and yet you offer such words you knew you could not keep!"

"This drunkard. !" Taizi murmured. "Sometimes words are better left unspoken and actions speak louder than words!" He sighed.

He looked up into the sky, he doesnt knew how to console her but atleast he could put some sense into her head.

"Your putting him in a tight spot. .leave him some choice!"

Xiang suddenly looked at him, stunned. Her expression becomes grim, She was clearly taken aback. "Fine Im going to marry someone else,then!" 

She snap stubbornly before leaving him. He shook his head, women in their family were really something else.

He saw her took a jar of wine when she pa.s.sed by with the servant who's bringing the wine. He was about to follow her when Yan Jing interrupted him.

"Forgive me for what Im going to do with her tonight.!"

Taizi frowned, Yan Jing's voice was calm but his face was rather grim.

"Just don't hurt her!" Taizi chuckled and tap Yan Jing's shoulder. "You must be drunk!" 

"Wine gives us courage!" he sighed while looking at the last fireworks that flashed in the air.

He decided to let everything slide for his sister sake, if ever he's going to make a scene, whatever romantic plan had Yan Jing for tonight might be spoil.

"For your brother sake and Xiang. ." 

He thought clenching his hand tightly while glaring at Ye'er side. Her eyes was glittering in the beautiful fireworks that displayed before her eyes. 

"Just don't let him hold you, otherwise he would never see the sun shine again!" 

He sighed bitterly. He was trying hard to ignore them but he can't just take his eyes off into his flower with a pest standing beside her.
