Kiara and Browen went near the man with the scar on his face . When they were moving forward towards him Browen kept looking at the a.s.sa.s.sins . They were professionals and bear the pain but no matter what every wound hurts , especially this wound . This wound had hurt not only their body but also their pride as a.s.sa.s.sins .

' To be shot in both sides that are separated by the black s.p.a.ce in the middle..is really embarra.s.sing ! I bet they wished to rather lose an arm than be shot there ! These a.s.sa.s.sins , they've not only brought shame to themselves but to their boss too . ' thought Browen looking at them and laughing with a quiet tone .

" It seems like you enjoyed the show ? " said Kiara .

" Yeah , I did ! The last part was the best ! " said Browen .

" Glad to hear that ! " said Kiara .

" By the way , you fight well ! No.....you were awesome ! " said Browen a bit shy . He was prideful and didn't praise people much .

" You praised me ?! " asked Kiara shocked . She knew his character and hear him praising her was a real bomb to her . He was second to Liam when it came to power in the family .

The garden was large and it took a while till they arrived in front of the man with a scar . When Kiara and Browen were in front of him , he looked at both of them with a firm expression . He also looked straight in Kiara's eyes , they were clear , fearless, and with no emotion .

" Mind telling why are you trying to kill us ? " asked Browen with a threatening look the man with a scar .

" Browen calm down ! " said Kiara and approached the man with a scar .

" Who are you ? " asked Kiara pointing a gun she found on one of the a.s.sa.s.sins's back to him .

" I think there's no need for me to introduce myself , I guess you already recognized me ! " said the man with a scar with a cool expression .

Kiara ordered him to clean the scar on his face and remove the wig he was wearing . When he removed the false scar and the wig , Browen remained shocked when seeing that he was the leader of the Willows's bodyguards . One of the main businesses of the Willow family is the bodyguard's section . As the family who holds military power in modern time they provide all the rich families with bodyguard . Kiara looked at him and smiled with a smirk .

" He's...."

" Yes, Browen , our dear head of the bodyguards ! I don't think you have been treated badly psychologically or financially by the Willows so , can give us an explanation ?! " said Kiara with a malicious smirk .

Before he could speak , some guards who were accompanying Mr Ranch and the king came along with them . Kiara and Browen bowed when they saw the king . She looked behind and mumbled to the bodyguard leader that if he refused to say the truth she would kill him . The look in her eyes made him feel a chill behind his back . He knew that she wasn't joking .

' She indeed has grown into an amazing fighter! With this kind of skillfulness of hers, it's likely that Mr Ranch will soon lose control of his power in the family . She will surely make her uncle live miserablely . I better chose a reliable side if I want to continue to survive . ' thought the bodyguard head nervously .

" What is going on here ?! Half of this place is ruined ! I demand an explanation from you ! " said the king a bit angry .

" Your Majesty ! We suffered an a.s.sa.s.sination attack but luckily we managed to fight them back . " said Browen .

Mr Ranch saw that he had large stains of blood in his chest and arms then noticed that Kiara was holding a gun . He thought that it was Kiara who tried this attempt . Infuriated by the thought that she tried to kill Browen he went towards her and slapped her . Kiara's cheek immediately got really red . The palm of his hand and fingers were stamped on her white soft cheek . Although she felt pain on her cheek she felt nothing but emptiness in her heart . She was used to their behavior but she couldn't understand the reason why they kept thinking that each accident was organized by her .

" How dare you ?! How dare you try to kill Browen ?! You insidious person ! " yelled Mr Ranch .

" Grandfather , what are you doing ?! Kiara has saved my life ! If it wasn't for her I would be already dead !!! " said Browen and tried to protect Kiara .

" What ?! " asked Mr Ranch still angry and continued to p.r.o.nounce cursing words to Kiara .

The king watched Kiara and saw that despite being hit so hard she wasn't crying or remaining in a daze . She looked as if was something she was used to being hit . Kiara was similar to a long lost precious friend of the king and she looked very much like her . This made King Charles very angry to the point that he wanted to torture Mr Ranch to death .

" Enough ! We will discuss this matter in my office ! " said the king and then glared at Mr Ranch which gave him a fright .

All of them followed the king . While going back the king noticed that the a.s.sa.s.sins that attacked Kiara and Browen were tied up and blood was coming through their trousers . He saw that each one of them had two bullets in their b.u.t.t .

' This girl , she's kinda funny ! ' thought the king when realizing how she had expressed her revenge to those people . The thing that seemed more strange to him was the reason why she hadn't killed them on the spot . She wasn't scared to shot so why didn't she kill them .

After walking for a while they arrived at the king's office . The guards took the leader of the bodyguards and threw him in the middle of the floor . He got himself up and kneeled in front of the king who took his seat in his desk . Browen stayed between his grandfather and Kiara to try and protect her . Mr Ranch was blowing with anger while Kiara was keeping a calm and serious expression on her face .

" You're called Browen , right ? " said the king looking straight at his eyes .

" Yes, Your Majesty ! " said Browen .

" Before we start , tell me ! Was Kiara the one who wanted to kill you ? " asked King Charles .

" No , Your Majesty , on the contrary Kiara saved my life ! As I said before , I would be dead if it wasn't for her . " said Browen looking at Kiara with a warm smile .

Kiara didn't expect that Browen was actually taking her side and going against Mr Ranch .

" You better stop taking my side if you don't want Mr Ranch to start hate you ! You owe me a favor and don't think that your help just now will make us even . " whispered Kiara to Browen .

" You saved my life ! I am just telling the truth . Don't worry I won't forget that I owe you a favor . " whispered Browen .

" Heard that Mr Ranch ! I suggest next time you take action you better think twice . We are friends but here is my territory and my rules are the law . I valuate this law more than the other one cause thank to if I have a reasonable kingdom . Understood ?! " said King Charles .

On the first look it sounded as if he was making Mr Ranch aware of a rule that he didn't know before but in reality it was different. Mr Ranch knew him well , he was clearly threatening him to not mistreat Kiara without a reason in the future .

' Just because this insidious girl looks like her , he is threatening me ?! ' thought Mr Ranch .

" Yes , I understand ! " said Mr Ranch .

" Now , Kiara ! Please explain to us everything ! " said the king looking at her with a polite smile .

Before Kiara could speak the door knocked and the guards opened it . The king ordered them to send the guest away since he was busy but to his surprise it was the crown prince .

' What is my grandson doing here ?! ' thought King Charles surprised .

" Welcome crown prince ! " said King Charles and then Eskylrious entered .

He looked around and then noticed that Kiara was also there . When their eyes met he was able to catch a glimpse of the slapped cheek she tried hiding with her hair .
