“You needn’t to pick me up today. I will drive to buy vegetables, and I’ll show you my cooking skill tonight!” Gu Yan said. Mo Yichen answered in peace. Gu Yan heard the noises from the television and chuckled privately, “The president has become a couch potato!”

They didn’t talk too much. Gu Yan packed up her handbag and went downstairs to find her car, which was covered in a film of dust.

Gu Yan was a tidy person and couldn’t bear to drive such a dirty car, so she drove to a car wash and went to the supermarket near it to buy an a.s.sortment of foods. No sooner had the car been washed clean than she came out. And she drove back home.

As Gu Yan expected, Mo Yichen was lying on the couch and watching TV. It seemed that the program was insipid because he was on the verge of falling asleep. Seeing this, Gu Yan slowed down her motions. He didn’t detect her and finally fell asleep on the sofa.

“Awake? Go and wash your face. You luck out today! I have prepared a table of delicious dishes for you!” Gu Yan said, smirking at Mo Yichen. Mo Yichen was actually awake now and recalled what Gu Yan had told him, so he went to the bathroom and used a handful of water to awaken himself.

Mo Yichen, who saw a table of dishes under the dim light and Gu Yan wearing the ap.r.o.n, felt heartwarming when he was out of the bathroom. He thought it was the home that he wanted.

They smiled eyes to eyes.

“I will have a compet.i.tion in a few days, but it was said there will be a preliminary test on the wine party. It’s so weird.” When finished having the meal, Gu Yan shared trifles on her work with Mo Yichen without looking at him. She just filled the bowl with soup and pa.s.sed it to Mo Yichen.

Mo Yichen took the bowl and said, “Hmmm, indeed it is unusual. Yet I don’t need to worry about your affairs on work, because I trust in your ability, and I also believe in you in this compet.i.tion.” He drank a spoonful of soup and said, “What a tasty soup! Your skills far outstrip mine.”

Not only did Mo Yichen praised Gu Yan’s capability, but also he praised her cooking skills.

Gu Yan blushed and was delighted very much.

Then they pa.s.sed the day by chatting with each other.

After Gu Yan observed those works for several days, she got a hazy feeling but was unable to describe it. So, she said brokenly. Jiang Jingcheng thought for a moment and contrasted what she described with other works in his mind. That was true. It possessed not just traditional style but something beyond that, so that it drew everyone’s attention when they looked at it.

In my opinion, you will be the champion.” Although it was a little exaggerated, Jiang Jingcheng meant to compliment her on her excellent apt.i.tude from the bottom of his heart.
