There was a thunderous laughter that reverberated across the room as the door had slammed open. It was five days after Ezra had a talk with his mother, his situation had slightly improved he no longer had to drink directly from her b.r.e.a.s.t.s but rather from a makeshift feeding bottle that was made solely out of gla.s.s except for the tip which was made out of cotton cloth wrapped around crumbs of bread. And when he relieved himself Catalyna, his wet nurse, did not wash him anymore. He did everything himself. Catalyna was incredulous at first but his mother told the commoner that this was how it was in the Riverrun's house. She told her that babies were trained to wash themselves very early. Catalyna doubted it but conceded since Aerwyna insisted so. After the talk, Aerwyna noticed Ezra's learning rate and taught him more new words in private. His father Reitz had arrived just the day before. He was summoned by the tribunal and he was in a very bad mood when he had arrived. Reitz had been allowed to stay just two days after Ezra was born but soon after he was commanded to return again. The tribunal had dismissed him temporarily and had just returned. It was just the news of Ezra that made him so enthralled.

"Where is my son? My genius powerful, heir to my domain? My firstborn? My boy? Where is he? Where is my son!!" Reitz roared out as he was laughing.

"Could you tone down your voice? The whole castle might hear. We have a lot of enemies and there may be spies amongst our midst ." Aerwyna answered exasperatedly.

"So what if those knaves know? At least they know that I have good seed." He beamed.

"I thought we already discussed this. We must protect Ezra, at all costs. If it was just about you, I wouldn't care. Our son's life hangs in the balance. Who cares if you die anyway ." Aerwyna rolled her eyes.

"Oh?" Replied Reitz.

"That's not what you said when we were making him." Reitz made a face that was writhing in pleasure.

"You scoundrel!!" Aerwyna shouted.

Aerwyna clenched her fist and punched Reitz on the shoulder.

"If you want we can make another one right now," Reitz grinned slyly.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?? WE ARE IN FRONT OF EZRA! YOU PERVERTED PIG."

"Well, the earlier he knows how to the better. I say I could show him a technique or two." Reitz winked at Ezra's bewildered face.

"That's it!"

"The waters cover the sea and in the. . ." Aerwyna started chanting and condensing her magic.

"Wwww wait a miinute darling I was just just jjoking." Reitz stuttered.

"Come clothe and cover and upon this body hover," She continued.

"EZRA is watching!" Reitz shouted.

Aerwyna came to her senses and frowned. "Lucky for you then."

"Stop fooling around and talk to Ezra, you should begin his training so that he can have a good head start. I don't know how you train your young in House Blackfyre but you should get to it as early as possible."

Reitz turned to Ezra and beamed at him. "How are you, my boy?"

"This idiot."Ezra thought and then he scowled.

Reitz had an uneasy smile. "Come on Ezra you can talk to father."

"There you upset him because of your stupid boisterousness." Aerwyna glared at Reitz in displeasure.

Ezra thought of toying with him. These loud types were the ones that irritated him the most in his previous life, but in the end, he said: "Could you teach me, magic father?"

Reitz was ecstatic immediately upon hearing his son speak. "What did I tell you, darling, I have good seed didn't I. It was a good thing you chose me. Look we have such a genius young boy."

"Hahaha." Reitz started laughing again and then his wife hit him on the head.

"Could you stop being a conceited imbecile? Its just luck that we have such a smart son. Besides his talent definitely comes from my side of the family." Aerwyna gestured toward herself.

"Haha but still you can't deny the fact that I helped."

"Hey Ezra, we are gonna have a tough time since the Blackfyre method of training involves the physical body first. We specialize in close combat and we strike using an art pa.s.sed down from father to son, from generation to generation ever since the beginning of House Blackfyre"

"Blackfyre magic is said to be the deadliest in close quarters. "

"Hmm, but I'll try directly to teach you the incantation and the visualization of the Blackfyre magics. There is no point in training your body because you are an infant. Tomorrow we start your training."
