Lu Ao Who Doesn’t Want Face
“I’ll go get my father and mother.” Saying that, Lu Ning Er started off with a jog to find her parents, leaving Shao Qian along with Lady Zhang, whose face was filled with excitement, behind to wait in the wayside pavilion.
“Bai gongzi, am I really pregnant?” Lady Zhang was currently beside herself with excitement. She and seventh brother had been husband and wife for four years, yet she had never gotten pregnant before. In the end, it was because her body was too weak and found it difficult to get pregnant.
The past two years, she had even thought of sending seventh brother into the concubine chambers, however, she was held back by seventh brother and her mother-in-law in the end. However, towards seventh brother, she always felt that she fell short. She had a.s.sumed that she wasn’t able to sleep or eat well was because of the heavy the feelings within her heart, therefore she didn’t go and see a physician. Yet, she would have never thought that she would actually be pregnant.
Thinking to this point, she couldn’t help but start rejoicing her luck in her mind. Fortunately, she had firmly insisted on following seventh brother to YiNan city, if she hadn’t, it was likely that she wouldn’t be able to protect this child, which had come by after much difficulty.
“Definitely.” Shao Qian sat before Lady Zhang with a smile, speaking in a soft voice, “Milady, don’t dwell about it too deeply, your usual way of thinking will be for the best. However, when I took your pulse just now, I found out that Milady’s body is very weak. If the care is inappropriate, it’s likely that there will be some problems.”
“This… What should I do then?” Hearing that, Lady Zhang instantly became anxious. She had waited and longed for this child for a very long time, if… if the child had an unexpected accident, then that would be like asking for her life.
“Like I said, Milady should resume her usual mentality.” Shao Qian placed Lady Zhang’s handkerchief onto her palm, before changing his soul power into internal energy and introducing it into Lady Zhang’s body. “When Ning Er comes back with Uncle and Auntie, I’ll get Lu Ao to note down the medicine prescription. After following the prescription for some time, your condition will definitely improve.”
“Many thanks, Gongzi. Many thanks!” It could he said that Lady Zhang was crying tears of joy. As she placed a hand onto her lower abdomen, she revealed a smile. Towards this smile that carried tears, Shao Qian felt that it was really beautiful.
“A’ Ling.” The first to arrive was the Zhang family’s second young master, Zhang Qi. He hastily rushed over to the wayside pavilion, standing beside his wife as he timidly embraced her, that trembling hand absolutely not daring to touch Lady Zhang.
Seeing that Zhang Qi was anxious to the extent where not only was his hand constantly shaking, even his lips had become somewhat white. He hastily stood up and patted Zhang Qi. “For the time being, sit down and rest for a while.”
“I-I’m fine.” Zhang Qi circled around Lady Zhang, not even bothering to wipe away the beads of sweat that had formed on his forehead due to nervousness.
It was at this moment that those that were behind him arrived in a rush. The faces of Zhang family’s Lord and Lady were also filled with anxiousness as they walked over. “Ling-er, really… it’s really…”
“My Qing Xuan’s diagnosis, of course it’s real.” When Lu Ao heard Old Master Zhang’s words, he immediately became unhappy. He walked over to Shao Qian’s side and grabbed his hand, rubbing it. “Qing Xuan, just now someone wanted to act as a matchmaker for me, but was beaten off by me.”
Therefore, seeing as I’m this well-behaved, you have to come sleep with me during the night. Although Lu Ao didn’t say these words out directly, his eyes had already made his meaning very clear.
Shao Qian laughed and stroked his head, not saying anything. This thing really knew how to reach for a yard after being given an inch. If he were to promise him anything right now, most likely he wouldn’t be able to wait for even a quarter of an hour before this thing would drag him back into their room.
“Many thanks, Bai gongzi.” Lord Zhang’s face was solemn as he cupped his fist and said, “Some other day, I’ll properly express my thanks.”
“You’re too courteous. We’re family, there’s no need for thanks.” Shao Qian hastily cupped his fist and returned the greeting. “As long as Milady and the child is without harm, then that’s for the best.”
“Expressing thanks is essential.” Old Master Zhang’s face was filled with joy as he spoke, “Ling-er had been in increasing low spirits for these two years, I had tried talking some sense into her, yet I was incapable of getting her to open up her heart. Now, she has a child, this towards my Zhang family, is truly an enormous happy occasion.
“Then, this Qing Xuan will congratulate you early.” Shao Qian also had a smiling face. “Now then, I’ll go to Lu Ao’s room to write down the prescription. I’ll get Lu Ao to bring it over later, and trouble Gongzi to get the medicine.”
“Of course.” Upon hearing that, Zhang Qi who had been constantly worried about his wife, immediately agreed with haste. Naturally, he would go get the medicine, if it were someone other than him, then he wouldn’t be at ease.
Shao Qian saluted to the people present before dragging Lu Ao, who had been continuously tugging at his belt, and returning. This thing really knew no sense of shame. Since he didn’t pay attention to him, he kept picking at his belt, furthermore before such a large crowd, does he still want face or not?
Returning to the room and closing the door, Lu Ao draped himself over Shao Qian. “Qing Xuan, you didn’t pay attention to me just now.”
“Get off from this lord.” Shao Qian pushed Lu Ao’s head. “Don’t you know how heavy you are? Draping yourself over me for the whole day, if someone was to see it, what should be done?”
“If someone saw it, then they saw.” So what if he enjoyed sticking to his partner? If they had the ability, then they could stick to him as well.
Shao Qian felt that the thickness of this thing’s face had gradually grown over these past two years. In the beginning, he only dared to hold his finger when they walked around, moreover, that was if there was n.o.body around. However, now he actually dared to drag him along by hand before a crowd. Right now, it had grown even more thicker, he didn’t even care if he were to be seen draped across his body.
“Don’t make any more noise.” Shao Qian walked over beside the table and said to Lu Ao, “Help this lord grind some ink.”
“This kind of manual labour is a must for this little one to do.” Lu Ao gladly and diligently helped Shao Qian grind up some ink. Seeing his fair and clear fingers holding the shaft of a brush, he couldn’t help s...o...b..ring. “Qing Xuan, tonight…”
“Scram to the outer chambers and wait.” Becoming conscious of the stare directed to his hand, Shao Qian knew what this thing desired to do. Thinking of the time when he had given him…
Thinking of something he shouldn’t be thinking about, Shao Qian’s hand jerked and he messed up a stroke. He hastily disposed of the paper and started anew. As expected, since he had spent such a long time with Lu Ao, this thing, even his own thinking was not as respectable anymore.
Lu Ao had been constantly paying close attention to Shao Qian. When he saw his face turn slightly red, along with writing down a wrong word…
This thick-skinned thing immediately walked to Shao Qian’s back. Pushing the chair behind Shao Qian away to one side, he hooped his arms around his waist, his lower body moving gently. “Really want me to sleep in the outer chambers?”
Shao Qian’s writing hand paused, before he quickened his writing speed. Right now, not only had this person’s skin become thicker, his manner of speaking had also become much more uncouth.
The sound of Lu Ao’s soft laughter was heard beside his ear as his teeth gently bit down on Shao Qian’s earlobe, watching as his sensitive ear became bright red. “Qing Xuan, I miss you.”
They saw each other everyday, what this ‘miss’ was actually missing [1], that went without saying.
Shao Qian finished writing and placed the paper to one side to dry, before he turned around and embraced Lu Ao’s neck with a single hand, as his other hand glided down his chest bit by bit, “Where misses me?”
“My whole body misses you.” Lu Ao’s breathing gradually became heavier along with Shao Qian’s hand, and his body was also quickly reacting. Just as he wasn’t able to take it anymore and wanted to push Shao Qian down…
“Go and send this letter for this lord.” Shao Qian patted Lu Ao’s cheek, “Being so excessive in the day, you really have the ability now.”
“Qing Xuan…” Lu Ao hugged Shao Qian, mot keen on letting go, his lower body unwilling to give up as he rubbed against Shao Qian. “I can’t bear it.”
Shao Qian’s face became slightly red from his rubbing, before he spat out two words, “Endure it.”
Lu Ao stubbornly clung into Shao Qian, unwilling to go, “Enduring for so long is bad towards the body.”
“Go and send the prescription to Lady Zhang first.” Shao Qian pa.s.sed over the already dried prescription paper to Lu Ao, “If not, then just keep enduring it.”
Lu Ao weighed the severity of it, before unwillingly going off to send the prescription in the end, “Wait for me in the room.”
“Quickly go.” Shao Qian patted Lu Ao’s head. “I’ll wait for you in the room.”
Only then did Lu Ao’s face light up with pleasure and after his body calmed down, he left to send over the prescription.
Shao Qian couldn’t resist laughing as he watched Lu Ao leave. I only said that I would wait in the room, I didn’t say anything about doing other things. As it just happened, he felt somewhat tired today, thus he conveniently laid down to get some sleep.
Whe Lu Ao pa.s.sed on the letter, he rushed back to the room and saw Shao Qian had already fallen soundly asleep.
With an aggrieved expression, Lu Ao stared at the peacefully sleeping person. Didn’t he say he would wait for him in the room? How could he go to sleep first?
However, seeing his partner’s soundly sleeping appearance, he definitely wouldn’t presumptuously wake him up. And perhaps it was because of watching him sleep peacefully, but the usually filled with energy Lu Ao also began to feel somewhat sleepy. He pulled off his outer garments and carefully laid down beside Shao Qian.
Just as he laid down, the already sleeping Shao Qian spontaneously moved in his direction. Lu Ao carefully took his shoulders and adjusted his position, letting him recline against his chest.
Half conscious, Shao Qian heard the familiar heartbeat, and his awareness once again faded back into dreamland. You’ve always been here. It’s really good.
Lu Ao listened to his gentle breathing and hugged Shao Qian with both hands, closing his eyes and going to sleep. Amongst Heavens and Earth, being able to be with you, is the greatest gift that G.o.d had ever bestowed to me.
