Every Morning The Most Popular Girl At School Sits Next To Me On The Train Chapter 5

Today is Sunday.

It is the best day of the week as I don't have school or work, and I can just laze about at home all day. However, today, I don't seem to have any time to do that.

Yes, this weekend, the smartphone game I mentioned before, Human Beast War, has an event going on. Yesterday, all I did was play the game and today will most likely be the same. Really, it's going to be such a productive weekend.

Feeling a sense of fulfillment, I opened up my smartphone. The current time is about 12 o'clock. Today as well, I wanted to gather the party members at this time so that we could go on hunts together.

After preparing different foods and drinks so that I can play games for ten hours straight, I lay down on my bed. I've tried out many different things, but this position is the easiest to play games in. I lay in my futon for about 5 minutes for other members to log in, but no one logged in besides me.

I wonder what happened. Yesterday, they were all so into it too. Well, since there isn't much I can do about it, I randomly picked a quest for gathering experience points and joined it. In order for strong weapons and armors to drop, it is important to make sure to gather experience.

This game can ultimately be divided into five difficulty levels. The quest that I'm currently doing is a C rank quest, the third highest difficulty rank. It's at the level where I can just barely defeat it with my skill.

Normally, with my party members we can somehow clear B rank quests, but that's impossible when I'm alone. By the way, A rank quests are considered impossible without a party of tens or more people. We once tried an A rank quest as our party of 5 and we were defeated by the first monster that we fought.

For this time's event, I heard that you get a really nice reward if you clear the A rank quest. A limited-edition costume of some sort. To be honest, I don't really need any special costumes to go on quests so I don't really have that much interest in an event like this. However, there are people in our party who enjoy having many different costumes, so we end up accompanying them on quests.

Coincidentally, one of those people happened to log in just now. When a party member logs in, a notification will pop up at the top of the screen whether or not you are in the middle of a quest.

The username was Ryouma.

Even though the username sounds like a boy, judging from the way she communicates in chat it's most likely a girl. Since Ryouma logged in just now, I quit my quest and returned to the home screen. One good point about this game is that if you quit a quest in the middle, you will still get the experience points you have gained so far from the quest.

"Yosshii-san, I'm sorry for being late."

When I returned to the home screen and opened up the group chat, Ryouma had typed this out for me. By the way, my in-game name is Yosshii. This is usually the name that I use when I play games.

"It's fine, it's fine. Where are the other people though?"

"I think they said they couldn't come."

"What!? Didn't we all say we were going to play together today?"

"Eh, is that so?"

"Yeah, that's what I thought. Am I wrong?"

"You probably misread. It's just us two today!"

Somehow, doesn't Ryouma seem a little more excited than usual? I don't really see her using an exclamation mark too often. Well, it seems like none of the other party members are coming now. Other people have their own lives to live I guess, I shouldn't get mad at them.

"So, it's just the two of us… I guess doing B quests would be pushing it a little bit."

"That's true. Let's limit ourselves to completing C quests together!"

"Y-yeah!"

I tried using an exclamation mark after I saw Ryouma using it. It somehow doesn't feel right…

"Ah— That was fun—"

I, Echizen Hina dove into my bed. Today, I've been playing games since noon so I'm a little tired. It was still really fun though.

"Sigh, as I thought, Yosshii-san is really cool."

Today as well, I was saved by Yosshii-san many times. Usually, I use a gun, and shoot at monsters from far away, but sometimes, they attack me from behind and I get caught. At times like this, faster than anyone else, Yosshii-san always comes to save me. Also, he always gives me his recovery items.

It was also Yosshii-san that invited me to this party in the first place. After playing alone for a long time, I just happened to go on a quest with him one day, and at that time, he invited me to the party.

Because of him I started enjoying the game a lot more, and life became more fun. Moreover, today, it was just Yosshii-san and me playing together. It was really fun. I had the party members help set up the situation though. It really was a fun time. Somehow, it kind of felt like a date…

Yosshii-san is probably really nice in reality too. If I could meet him, I would really like to.… It's not possible though.

"Hinaa~, dinner's ready, are you coming?"

My mother calls me for dinner. Oh yeah, I've been so absorbed in my game that I haven't eaten dinner yet.

"I'm coming~"

After replying, I left my room and went down to the first floor.
