As Ralda said that last sentence, the tears she had been holding in flowed freely down her face.
"Ralda, it's okay" Ariana comforted her.
"They didn't die!" Someone said from the audience but more of an a.s.surance to himself than a question or statement to others.
"It's no hope" another person replied.
"There is hope. The chances may look slim but there is hope" Isabel quickly replied.
"You said so yourself, even the Queen knew it was inescapable" the man fired back.
"I would not abandon hope just yet, there must be something" She tried to convince him.
"There is nothing, Queen Isabella was the strongest mage there was. If she couldn't do, then no one can" he spat those words back at Isabel.
"I refuse to accept it. There must be a way. Just because no one has done it doesn't mean no one can."
"Get a grip of reality Princess. We are all that's left. Where else would you get a mage so strong?"
"Oh I am facing reality and I would be stronger and learn all there is about magic and save them. They didn't give up on me or the kingdom, she had hope and so do I. I wouldn't give up on them."
She spoke with so much determination in her voice and authority, she was truly the daughter of her parents.
The man was about replying but Lady Vita held up her hand to silence him.
"No more" she turned to face Trevor, "It has been proven. Now, allow pa.s.sage through, grant them access" she ordered him.
He didn't bulge, Catherine half grinned as she pressed her knife closer to his throat.
"Don't test my patience Trevor" her voice lingered behind his ear.
"Cathy, lower your weapon. He is friend" Ariadna calmed her daughter.
"Fine" she let go and teleported to Isabel's side.
Trevor rubbed a hand on his neck before steadying himself. He looked around but everyone had a look of approval, he had no choice but to grant them access to the hideout.
He stretched forth his hands and closed his eyes. Slowly he began chanting some spells and a light enveloped Isabel, Jasper, Catherine, Ariana and Ariadna. After some minutes the light dashed towards the door.
There seemed to be a ripple in the open s.p.a.ce before the door after a minute the light completely vanished.
"Done" he stated flatly.
"Thank you" they all chorused.
"Well, let's go in" Phoebe invited.
"Everyone dismiss" Olivia ordered.
One by one they all went to whatever it was they were doing before the big interruption.
They other turned towards Phoebe and walked behind her. When she got to the door, she opened it and stepped back for the children to enter.
Isabel went in first, but as quickly as she entered, she ran back out looking at the house before her gaze landed in the guardians.
They each had a smile on their faces at her shocked expression. Jasper and Catherine were confused.
"What is wring Isabel?"
"What happened?"
They both asked, her feeling concerned with her sudden behaviour.
She turned her head to face her friends, then back at the guardians before gesturing for her friends to enter.
Slowly Jasper and Catherine entered and just as quickly as Isabel ran out, they did too.
The guardians couldn't hold it in and they burst into an uproar of laughter.
"Ariana, Ariadna go check it too. We have done some little changes since you left" Vita explained.
"Sure" the ladies replied and went in, leaving the stunned children outside.
