Getting up seconds after being struck, the insane Haruto charged again not at Itsuki but at his new enemy.

"What are you doing Earl!? Why are you helping humans", the Viscount exclaimed in shock. He actually wasn't against aiding humans in their petty squabbles but since he wasn't aware of the plan, he knew the situation was against his favor.

The Demon Earl glared at the Viscount in derision before continuing the clash with the insane Darkblood. Haruto continually attacked the Earl whilst simultaneously taking in more and more blood. He had no reservations on the purity of the blood as long as it was actually blood. If the situation persisted then Haruto could only grow stronger. As his ability to reason had vanished, he didn't take time to properly absorb the blood. This would eventually result in self destruction but before that, his strength would increase immensely.

"Did you seriously think that I would become the d.u.c.h.ess' play toy?", the Earl said towards the shocked Viscount.

"Tch. So you knew who my real backer was", the Viscount muttered before glancing at Itsuki as if he was a pot of gold. His d.u.c.h.ess had given him two objectives to accomplish while he was staying in this particular human realm. The first one was to control the Demon Earl through accompaniment and eventually entice him to join their side while the second one was to capture any man which matched or exceeded her standards.

As he was unable to complete his first objective now that the Earl was aware of his plan and strictly against him, he could only try the second objective. Some of the previous humans were somewhat good looking but he was on the fence with gifting them to his d.u.c.h.ess. They had barely matched her standards and her standards would only rise if the tributes given had only ever met her standards. Usually he would have to ponder for a bit before selecting them. However, the one in front of him had a phenomenal countenance. With such a devilishly handsome male as a gift, he would surely be lauded and awarded.

"Then our temporary alliance is off then", the Viscount stated before screeching loudly.

The screech was loud enough to be heard by the people outside. Noticing the commotion, the two hundred people on standby began to rush in.

Seeing 2 powerful Demons and the free Itsuki, they charged and began to clash.

Itsuki and the Demon Earl both grimaced before glancing towards each other.

"Why are you helping me?", Itsuki inquired. Although he knew demons weren't pure evil as described by the dogma of this world, he was still cynical about them.

"I am sent here by the Duke of Pride. You've met him before", the Earl answered.

The Duke of Pride? Atlas didn't even have to think for more than a second to know who it was. Powerful demons were ranked according to n.o.bility and the only powerful Demon before these three was the one he had encountered in the village and gifted him his Minor Realm of Purgatory.

"Seems I owe him even more. Do you need me to get rid of that Viscount?", Itsuki said as he decided to acknowledge the Earl as his ally. After throwing an insignificant human towards the rampaging Haruto, the Earl then warned, "Yes but be careful, he has a powerful backing"

Itsuki then nodded before severing the hands of a few Clan mates which had tried to form a circle around him.

The 200 People truly were cannon fodder as they had tried to kill Itsuki, only to receive a missing limb while a few tried to help Haruto only to be caught in the crossfire and absorbed by Haruto who could not differentiate friend from foe.

As Ryer charged to disrupt the Earl, Itsuki suddenly appeared in front of him and threw somebody else's disconnected fist at him.

Caught off guard by the astonishing speed, Ryer barely sidestepped in time. Feeling the fist graze against his cheek, he glared at Itsuki before thinking, I will abuse you before I send you off to become a concubine.

Retracting his claws, he rushed towards Itsuki and swiped downwards. Dodging the swipe, Itsuki swung his blade sideways and tried to declaw him. Ryer immediately withdrew as the pressure from the blade began to create cracks on his claws. Knowing now to avoid the blade, he stopped using his claws and picked up a weapon off of a dead human.

Accelerating with the sledgehammer as his weapon, he continually created fissures as Itsuki managed to avoid each and every blow. Immensely peeved, he crushed the sledgehammer with his fists and snarled. He then noticed all of Itsuki's strings which seemed to be randomly positioned.

The strings then all moved as Itsuki maneuvered them to act. He watched as the strings dragged every weapon from a dead carca.s.s. Amused by what seemed childish to him, he thought these inferior quality weapons could barely even scratch my skin.

He then took back his words as Itsuki sent the myriad of "inferior quality" weapons towards him. As Itsuki was faster than Ryer, Ryer could only defend as the 100 weapons encased him like a coc.o.o.n and began to chip off his scales.

His face visibly darkened before he decided to stop playing around. He was about to charge but stopped when hearing Haruto's sudden roar.

The 2 Demon n.o.bles immediately ceased their actions and created a barrier. Itsuki did not activate his as it was still on Kirei. He gritted his teeth and mentally prepared for the onslaught.

The Darkblood then began to draw blood from every possible source. THe darkened blood which still covered the ground flew into the air in specks while blood vessels of living humans began to rupture.

The Blood Reservoir once again was filled with blood as it dripped from every opening on the human head. Instantly, the remaining humans all perished alongside their fallen comrades. Itsuki was the only exception and he struggled to retain his blood through the usage of Blood Manipulation. A small stream of blood escaped through his nose before Haruto stopped his blood beckoning.

To counter Blood Lord's Decree without a barrier, required total control of every capillary, artery, and vein. Collapsing due to overexertion, Itsuki trembled as he tried to get back on his own two feet. The Demon Earl grimaced as this was exactly how Darkbloods could deter powerful demons. Through insanity, they became true calamities and could rival even a Demon Duke if given enough blood.

As Itsuki tried to regain his strength, Ryer grinned and kicked him in the stomach. Spewing more blood than usual, Itsuki then flew against the cavern wall creating a crater.

"You dare try to break my precious claws and scales? I will break you", Ryer said while sneering.

With a determined look in his eyes, he stared at Ryer in disdain.

As if knowing what Itsuki was thinking, Ryer stomped on Itsuki's hand.

The glimmer lit up the entire Reservoir and blinded everyone. Kirei then threw it towards Haruto who could only scream in intense agony. Minutes later, the glow subsided and a condensed boulder of kegare remained.

Kirei then fell to her knees as her complexion paled significantly as if she was ill.

The Demon Earl looked at the two of them before flashing a warm smile, "Revel was right. You two just might be able to"

He then brought the two to a secluded location to rest before leaving.

The two sat next to each other but the atmosphere was very awkward. Both felt more vulnerable and fragile than they ever had in the entirety of their existences.
