He looked at her with concern and asked if there was anything wrong. She shook her head.
"You look pale. Does he even feed you?"
With that, she remembered he brought home something for lunch and told her he would be out for a while so she should eat the food he brought and not wait for him. She glanced at the table in the kitchen. He followed her gaze and hit her arm with his palm when he saw the food on the table untouched.
"You ungrateful b.i.t.c.h! He brought you something to eat but ignored it."
"Ouch! That hurts!" She shouted and then hit him back. Just like what happens most of the time they ended up laughing after hitting each other. After sometime, he led her to the kitchen and opened the packaged food he had probably ordered from a restaurant downtown.
"Eat," he said. "You can't ignore your body when someone is trying their best to take care of you. Don't disappoint them, babe."
She couldn't understand why he is suddenly lecturing her about ignoring her body. But he is probably telling her not to make him worried . She knows her only bestfriend loves her and it's true he has always been worried especially whenever a man is hovering around her. He must be worried that she is living with a stranger.
She just smiled and told him not to worry.
"He was the child my grandfather took in before. He was his a.s.sistant before the man left and my grandfather came to live with us. He doesn't have anything for me. He just loves embarra.s.sing me everyday."
He raised an eyebrow. "I don't think that's the case." He stopped to tell her anything more afraid that he would ruin anything that might be brewing between her bestfriend and the man that has his eyes on her. If he wanted a happy ending for her friend, he must leave them to figure it out for themselves. But right now, he can feel that the man is sincere and he would not hurt his bestfriend. He even felt his jealousy when he hugged and kissed her so he kissed her continuously to fuel his rage. After all he is a very supportive friend. Just then he remembered why he was there and smiled at the thought of it. He brought the best gifts for her. Actually for him. Then giggled at the thought lingering in his mind.
