Demon King App 9 Chapter 8

As Ava rush in the hallway leading to the intensive care unit, she saw an unknown man and a nurse who is pushing a woman in a wheelchair, there is a mask in the face of the woman in the wheelchair, but Ava wouldn't mistake her for someone else. In Ava's mind, the woman in the wheelchair is without a doubt Alisha, Ava's been together with Alisha since before her parents die, so even if they put a mask on her to hide her face, she wouldn't mistake her for anyone.

Seeing the sight of the suspicious nurse and the unknown man trying to take Alisha somewhere, heat flush throughout Ava's body from the sheer anger the she feels. Ava almost lost her self-due to her rage and kill the pair on the spot, but she manage to calm her mind, she knows that she can't just rush out to kill the pair without probing their intention first, since in the off chance that her suspicion are wrong, not only would she suffer from the consequence of attacking a civilian, but the collectors guild as a whole would surely be held accountable.

Baring her teeth and clenching her hands into fist, Ava call out the pair with a deep-toned voice. "OI! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?"

Hearing the deep voice of Ava, the nurse and the man with her shiver, but the nurse manage to suppress her anxiety and look back at Ava with a smile.

"I-I'm, sorry ma'am I'm just gonna bring the patient into the new magia stasis machine to better her condition."

"ANOTHER MAGIA STASIS MACHINE? I'M PRETTY SURE THAT THERE ARE ONLY TWO MAGIA STASIS MACHINE IN THIS HOSPITAL AND BOTH OF THEM ARE IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT, YOU KNOW, THE ROOM YOU'RE TAKING HER FROM." With a deep cold voice, Ava doesn't even bother to hide her hostility to the pair.

"A new unit came just this afternoon, and the doctor instruct me to transfer this patient, she's a VIP Afterall."

"YOU DON'T NEED TO BOTHER, HER FAMILY WOULD TAKE HER TOMORROW MORNING TO A LAB RUN BY THE COLLECTORS GUILD, BESIDES WHO IS THAT MAN? HE'S WEARING A STAFF CLOTHING BUT I DON'T RECOGNIZE HIM."

Hearing that, the man can't stop himself from sweating profusely and gulping his saliva.

"O-oh, this man just recently got a.s.signed in the VIP building, that maybe the reason why you did not recognize him." The nurse tries to explain.

"I SEE, THEN YOU WOULDN'T MIND IF I ASK TO SEE HIS IDENTIFICATION CARD RIGHT?"

The nurse becomes quiet after hearing that, she put her hand behind her and hide her expression through her hair.

"COME ON, SHOW ME, LETS GET THIS OVER WITH, IT WOULD BE BAD FOR YOUNG MISS IF SHE ISN'T PUT BACK IN A MAGIA STASIS MACHINE AFTER 30 MINUTES AFTERALL." Ava said while walking confidently into the pair.

Unfortunately, before Ava manage to reach the pair, the man behind the nurse thrust his hands out forming a magic circle and shooting a magic lance into Ava.

Before the magic lance hit Ava, she activates fortification magic, magic runes surround her body in a split second and she catch the ice lance using her bare hands crushing it afterwards.

"A MERE HOSPITAL STAFF HAVE A LETHAL MSA." Ava smiles and activate acceleration magic dashing into the pair.

"TAKE THE TARGET AND RUN! I'LL TAKE CARE OF HER!" Pushing the wheelchair into the man, the nurse intercepts the dashing Ava while using a small dagger coated in magia blade and slashing it into her.

Ava dodge the dagger by hairs breadth and launch a spinning kick at the nurse, the nurse jumps backwards dodging the kick while blocking Ava's way and letting the man escape while pushing the wheelchair where Alisha is in.

"Tchh!" Ava click her tongue in irritation and impatience.

"You can't win against me without any weapon, so just die here!" The nurse said with confidence while holding her stance.

"You think so?" Unfazed by the nurse's statement, Ava deactivate the fortification magic in her body and apply steel skin and magia blade in her right arm. Runes of steel skin and magia blade appear on her arms and she rush into the nurse slashing at her.

The nurse is surprised by Ava's action of giving up on defense, but it only lasts for a split second and she manage to block Ava's attack.

Ava and the nurse launch a flurry of slash at each other, the slashes are so fast that it would be impossible for a normal person to see it at all. The wall of the hallway near them are also being damage by the wind pressure that the clash of the nurse's dagger and Ava's right arm makes.

Ava and the nurse continue the equal exchange of slashes for 2 minutes, but Ava gain the upper hand because of her superior speed and technique. Finally, Ava manage to break the nurse barrage of strike by sending the nurse's arm upwards. When nurse's stance is broken Ava slash her right hand into the nurse neck aiming to separate her body from her head.

Unfortunately, the nurse ducks her head avoiding Ava's slash and tries stab her dagger into Ava's chest.

Ava blocks using her left hand, sacrificing it and letting it be stab instead of her chest.

The nurse smirk at her success in injuring the enemy, but when she tried to pull the dagger, Ava's pierced left hand grab the dagger and it wouldn't budge, Ava then slash at the nurse's head, the nurse reacts by tilting her head to the side letting her shoulder be cut instead.

After letting her shoulder be sliced, the nurse grab Ava's right arm where there's no magia blade enchantment locking both of them into their place.

"I'll f.u.c.king kill you here and complete this mission taking your head as a prize." The nurse said and sends a kick to Ava's stomach.

Ava block it using physical barrier. "Even if your subordinates take young miss Alisha away, after I kill you, it doesn't even matter where they hide, I can still hunt and kill them!" Ava then headb.u.t.t the nurse.

"AAARGHHH! I'LL f.u.c.kING BURN YOU TO CRISP!" Because of the pain from the headb.u.t.t, the nurse becomes angry and tries to activate another magic, but someone ran past the two of them and they both got surprised.

"T-that's-------"

When Bryson rush into the VIP building, he saw that there is a commotion on the visitor's area, and from what he hears, there is a fight happening near the intensive care unit.

'The intensive care unit? From what I remember, Alisha should be confined there since the magia stasis machine is place in that area... this is bad, from the feeling of their magia, the guards can't possibly stop the people fighting in there.'

Worrying for Alisha's safety, Bryson sneak past the panicking hospital's staff and goes straight into the intensive care unit.

[Oi human! The h.e.l.l are ya trying to do? Are ya perhaps thinking of trying to stop the fight? Are ya planning to die?! You're not strong enough to do that so just back off!]

"You don't have to tell me I'm freakin weak! I know that my self! And I'm not planning on stopping them, I just want to see if the fight is damaging the intensive care unit."

[And what do you plan to do if it did huh?! Just freakin stop this, it's suicide!]

"I'll just think of something if it did, and why do you even care! you're just after my body right?!"

[Of course, I'll care! I want your body alive not dead! And our soul is already connected so if you die, I'll also die!]

"Oho, interesting." Bryson smirk at the unexpected information he heard.

After walking for around 50 seconds, Bryson reach the hallway where the fight is happening, he conceals his presence and hide in the nearby hallway perpendicular to the hallway where the fight is taking place.

[You're not only skilled at detecting magia but also quite skilled at hiding your presence, impressive human, though I suppose that's to be expected from the body that will house my soul.]

"Shut up, I will never give my body to you."

When Bryson peek to see who's fighting, he sees two familiar faces. 'Miss Ava? And that nurse she is fighting, that's the polite nurse I ask for the direction of the vending machine on my first day here! Why are they fighting?!'

[Hmmmm, those two are strong, although not as strong as the fighters from the Great Magic War, but not bad, and as I expected, that Ava woman is strong... Hmmm who is that other one? Someone you know human?]

Not minding the question of the Demon king, Bryson focus his ears to hear the conversation of Ava and the nurse.

"I'll f.u.c.king kill you here and complete this mission taking your head as a prize."

"Even if your subordinates take young miss Alisha far away from here, after I kill you, it doesn't even matter where they hide, I can still hunt and kill them!"

When Bryson heard that, he almost shout from shock. 'What!? Alisha is taken?!'

Bryson once again peek at the hallway and he notices that the nurse seems to be stopping Ava from pa.s.sing through her. 'That means whoever takes Alisha is just past that.'

Bryson takes a hold of his magi-phone and ready all the combat magic it has.

[Oi! What are you planning?! Don't! You'll die!]

Ignoring the plea of the Demon king, Bryson activates acceleration magic and rush pa.s.s Ava and the nurse.
