The Commander's Pregnant Wife Chapter 7

It was morning . The sun shone from the little window inside the cell . The people inside the prison are now all awake . But, since there is nothing to do inside, some just continued sleeping while others just stared blankly in the s.p.a.ce .

Nicolas opened his eyes . His body felt numb and aching, since his hands were still tied since last night adding up that he was also beaten . It seems the terrorist were afraid of him escaping . Nicolas check if he has any weapons still left in him . And, as what he has expected, none were left behind, all of his weapons were confiscated .

'Of course, what would I expect, they would confiscate everything . If they left behind a single gun with me that would be laughable' . Nicolas thought . 'But, atleast, they still left behind my crux necklace and my combat shoes' .

The crux necklace is something that his mother gave him . It is small and has a simple design so probably the terrorist thought that it was something of no value but what they do not know is that, it has a gps tracker inside for his father to know his current location .

As for the combat shoes, since they do not know what will happen to him at anytime, he customized his shoes so that it could have a secret compartment in its sole for him to hid his knife .

He saw Leila who is in another cell beside him . Right now, he doesn't know how to approach her after what he did last night, but he only wants to save her so he did that . He couldn't act rashly last night so he didn't fight back or else it would be disastrous .

'*sigh* but I must talk to her atleast even if she'll curse me, I can't stand this guilty feeling inside me right now" . Nicolas thought then slowly walk towards the left side of his cell . "Leila" . He first softly called . "Leila, please, talk to me" . He called again as he didn't get any reaction from her at first .

Then, Leila turned to him . "What do you want sir?" . She flatly asked . Nicolas seeing her look at him coldly, just grit his teeth inside then, "I know that you are angry with me for what I did last night, but I genuinely just wants to save you, at that time there seems to be no other way as I couldn't just fight them or else your life wouldn't be spared . So, please! forgive me" . Nicolas plead softly to her .

Leila seeing that her commander which is known for being cold and always has a stern face plead to her softly, somewhat felt her heart warmed . '*sigh* what else can I say, it already happened, its not like he does it for his own pleasure' . Leila thought in her heart .

"It's fine sir, let's just forget what happened last night and moved on with our lives . Right now, we need to find a way to get out of this h.e.l.l" .

"You're right, we'll talk about this after we get out of this h.e.l.l" . Nicolas said not heeding what she first said as he doesn't approve it to just moved on with their lives . 'Hmp! do you think I'll just let you go? after this h.e.l.l I'll marry you . " Nicolas thought in his mind .

After a few moments, the door of the prison opens and two women came in . It seems they are a slave inside the fortress . They carried weave baskets filled with bread and they also carried a jug of water . They gave each hostages two peaces of bread and a cup of water . Since Nicolas and Leila still has their hands tied, the guards inside the prison untied their rope . They ate their bread and there's nothing else left to do after .

But, by ten in the morning the prison door opens again and the person who came is Connard .

"h.e.l.lo Nicolas! Good morning! Do you miss me? Hahaha!" . Connard said it in a friendly tone but his eyes tell otherwise . Nicolas know that this guy is scheming something evil again . And as what he expected, he and Leila were taken out inside their cell and were dragged towards the interrogation room, again .
