MY KIND OF LOVE 25 Chapter 25

Thousands of calls came to the office of the CEO of Sweng Corporations. Secretary Liz spent the whole day answering calls from reporters who wanted to speak with CEO Vandeers. This had hindered Secretary Liz from her work and then she finally decided to disconnect the office telephone.

Skylar was in the office with a.s.sistant Kin who was reporting to him about the current situation.

"Why did you do what you did with Kiki?" a.s.sistant Kin wasn't the type who would ask question to his boss but this time around he had to ask.

"You know how she is, do you think she would have let Kiki leave that easily?.." Skylar gave a deep sigh as he laid back on the chair.

"But now, they are all accusing you of trying to steal the model of another agency, sir.. Should I call our lawyers.." a.s.sistant Kin started to look for the contact of the company lawyer in his phone.

"No,.. I just wanted to see how she would react.. " a smile came on his face.." I wanted her to be angry because of me... Do you think it worked a.s.sistant Kin?"

"Yes, you are very intelligent sir.. I am sure CEO Yethu must be very upset as we speak." a.s.sist kin was very good at boosting Skylar's pride. "So what should we do sir?" he continued.

"Nothing, I thought she would come to my office in anger again,..I am sure she hates me now" he scratched his head and a scene of what had happened last time flashed into his mind, which made him to smile like a little boy.

a.s.sistant Kin who was watching him was surprised, They had been working together for a long time but this was the first time he had seen him behaving this way.

Skylar saw the look on a.s.sistant Kin's face and composed himself back to his normal, "hmm, so what's my schedule this week?"

"aah, yes.. you have to make a business trip tomorrow and when you come back you will have to go back to the interview of last time, I heard you disappeared on set sir.." a.s.sistant Kin paused and looked at CEO Vandeers.

Skylar felt uncomfortable with the look he was receiving from a.s.sistant Kin, so he ignored him and said, "what else do I have?"

"ooh, there is a fashion showcase on Sat.u.r.day."

"What is the importance of going for a fashion showcase, you need to remove such things from my schedule.. " Skylar protested.

"CEO Yethu will be attending.." with those words a.s.sistant Kin thought that his boss was going to accept the invitation. There was something about that woman, that made his boss act different.

Skylar became silent as he tried to a.n.a.lyse the situation. After clearing his throat, "hhhm, so what if she is attending? I still don't want such things on my schedule.." he turned his chair around and looked in the direction of the window.

a.s.sistant Kin gave a deep sigh of relief, it had seemed that he had been wrong about the whole situation and his boss was not bewitched after all. "Yes sir.." he gave a small bow of respect and walked out of the office.

After work Miray went with Hazel to the Yethu's residence. It had been long since she had talked to her parents but Hazel had been insisting on going to visit them. Miray was so nervous, that she followed behind Hazel as they entered into the house. The old people had been watching television together with a guest who Miray did not excpect to meet at the house.

"Terrence? what are you doing here?" Miray asked the question which made all of the eyes in the room to turn to her.

Terrence got up from the sit and went directly to Miray. He gave her a hug something he had never done, he knew that she would not do anything since old Yethu was around. "I always come here to visit old Yethu,... how are you feeling?" Terrence started to touch her forehead while still holding her, behaving like they were very close.

Old Yethu's eyes met with Miray and she decided to play along with Terrence just not to get her father upset. "I am okay, you don't have to worry..." She gave him a smile as she patted his chest being all flirty.

Hazel looked at Miray with disbelief. She decided to ignore the whole situation and rushed to madam Yethu and old Yethu, "mum and dad! I missed you!" she went on and hugged both of them kissing their old cheeks.

"oooh my princess, you get prettier every time I see you.." said madam Yethu to Hazel.

"No way, you are the one who looks younger by day... are you using what I sent you last time? I think it's working..", Hazel a.n.a.lyased madam Yethu face.

"Yes my princess..." madam Yethu touched her face as a little girl, "how long are you here for princess?"

"Till next week, let's go shopping when you are free!"

"Yes let's do it tomorrow, come and stay here with me,.. I usually get bored" Madam Yethu was grabbing Hazel's hands showing some desperation. She had envied her friends who would go out with their daughters for shopping and all sorts of things. But her daughter had always been busy and had no time for her.

"I would love to, but I need to take care of Miray ..." Hazel's eyes were filled with worry as she denied Madam Yethu's request, " do you know that...." before she could finish the question, Miray who was still standing next to Terrence rushed forward and covered her mouth.

"Hahaha she missed you too much, I need to stop her before she starts saying stupid things hahaha"

Madam Yethu looked at a face that looked like her own and she could not help but feel sad. 'I wish you were more like me and not your father..' those were the words she had been saying to herself throughout the years. Sadness came into her eyes and she stood up from her seat letting go of Hazel's hands. "Since you are all here, let's have dinner together."
